Sim Title: "Tuberider", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:
-------------------
Admiral Lora Kor is introduced to "Tuberider", an interesting new
vessel created for 4th Chamber travel, riding along one of Xanadu's
singularities in a very unique fashion.
During the Sim:
---------------
With Xanadu putting much of the fleet inside her in an unwelcome
Phfor-held system, the question on everyone's mind is "Now What?".
Quickly following the arrival in the system, Coronado effectively
sealed the First Chamber entrance with a holographic projection from
it's HDS. The system was never meant to be run so long and so hard,
and is beginning to show signs of weakness.
General Ironside decides to have attempt communications with the
locals on the nearby planet, in an effort to open communications
without revealing the fleets hidden location. This is soon
accomplished using a probe send into orbit around the planet.
Meanwhile in the 4th Chamber, Admiral Lora Kor and Captain Sieven
Drexler get their first up close views of the "Tuberider" vessel.
They take off in Kelaka for an even closer look.
The Communications signal is picked up by Tolan Din, first assistant
to the Council of Elders, on the planet. At first he mistakes the
General for someone on the "protector" ships high above his planet,
not expecting a call from anyone else. He also seems rather unaware
of any conflict the Pfhor have had with the General's "people". When
the General makes it clear he wishes peacful contact and negotiation,
the man appears to welcome this idea, but he has to clear it with his
superiors first.
Later, Din reports that a vessel will be allowed entrance into the
system for face-to-face peace talks. But everyone is wondering if the
large Pfhor ships in orbit will be able to put aside the past and just
allow a Starfleet vessel to enter peacefully. As the message to enter
is relayed to Vanguard, who will be conducting the actual talks,
several Pfhor transports once again decide the mysteriously appearing
asteroid needs another examination. They begin flying around the
asteroid starship, as the HDS is checked for any signs of extreme
weakness. The tension on Coronado is thick as all are wondering just
what happens if they are caught in a lie with the Pfhor.
In the 4th Chamber, Kelaka docks near the Tuberider vessel and Captain
Bentall and Commander Savant proceed to join them on a shuttle of
their own. Soon, the entire team from Coronado are onboard the ship
and heading toward it's bridge.
Vanguard finally re-enters the system and begins making its
communications in preparations for being welcomed to the planet, but
with the Pfhor transports getting just a bit too close to Xanadu, the
tension of being caught in a diplomatic lie are too great. With the
uncertainty of the HDS's stability in keeping out prying Pfhor
sensors, the General drops the bomb and hails the Pfhor directly from
within Xanadu just as the transport ships begin firing on the 4th
Chamber side of the asteroid...
