Greetings everyone...as I am sure you have heard our very own Jester
has taken it upon himself to, for whatever reason, be named Acting
Commander in Chief of UCIP. ::pauses, and stares at the blank faces::
You know, the role playing org we all belong to! ::watches the
audience smile and nod:: I know, I had to look it up too. ::coughs::
Anyway, if you haven't done so yet please congratulate him, or give
him a pat on the back, or begin plotting his downfall...whichever
suits your character. ::smiles:: You know, Jester, I didn't agree to
start doing the Sim Reports so you could try to teach fourth-graders

Sim Title: "Uninvited Guests", Part 3
Teaser and Pre-Sim:
-------------------
Admirals Wallace and Aldur discuss the fact that new arrivals through
the Hypergate may be not be trusted. Aldur calls for all recent
arrivals to be re-screened for signs of outside influence, regardless
of their status within the Federation.
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado is still holed up inside Xanadu's Second Chamber as the
battle with the Xur is met head on between the smaller and more
maneuverable ships of the fleet. The Xur weapon continues to have its
devastating effect on the power systems of all Starfleets ships in the
area. A plan is quickly devised to disrupt the effect of the weapon,
but it is unknown if it will have any effectiveness against the Xurian
technology.
At the same time, things inside Xanadu become more interesting as the
unidentified ship, detected earlier by one of Tuberider's probes in
the Fourth Chamber, lands and four unknown individuals begin walking
toward a large structure in Alexandria. A contingent of Marines
follow, careful not to seem too inquisitive.
The larger concern quickly becomes the Xur battle outside as several
Xur craft get closer and closer to the First Chamber entrance.
Coronado put it's plan into motion and the Minerva Shuttle Teresa,
outfitted with a trio if tricobalt explosive charges, joins up with a
small escort of Spectres. Lt. D'rall remote pilots the shuttle
through the battle on a kami-kaze run to the Xur array emitting the
disruptive energy field.
One the Xur catch on that the shuttle maybe carrying a very lethal
payload, they do everything in their power to stop it. The convoy
quickly comes under fire and it seems like the mission is doomed to
failure until a group of Apori 'Will of the One' fighters take up the
cause much to the surprise of the Xur.
Coronado is grazed by an energy sphere, and the filaments of the Tar
na zee begin to infiltrate the ships electronics. The bridge is
severely effected, but Teresa holds true to her course and the Xur
weapon explodes. The field comes crashing down as command on Coronado
switches to the flying bridge.
With thier weapon a memory, the Xur find themselves once again with
the short end of the stick. They begin their retreat...again. Crew
on Coronado work furiously to identify and isolate the tar na zee
infection, but it is too fast. Secondary isolation protocols seem to
stave off the filaments however, they are successful at stopping the
tar na zee in some places, but not others.
In the direct aftermath of the Xur weapon's destruction, a small craft
is detected moving away from the area and glowing. Somansky's flies
his Spectre in for a closer look as the object releases an enormous
amount of energy. The comm feed from Somansky is effected. The mans
voice change into something very unrecognizable and not human as a
rapidly expanding energy field begins expanding to envelope the rest
of the area....including USS Coronado!
