Sim Title: "The Adversary", Part 3
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

Rear Admiral Lora Kor walks the decks of Wraith Liberator 3/12 as the
craft's modifications are completed and shortly before it is sent on its
final mission: into the anomaly. The ship, outfitted with high-energy
equipment, will be sacrificing itself shortly in order to seal anomaly
from the inside.
During the Sim:
---------------
With the large battle over for now, it's time for those left behind to
take a deep breath and ascess the situation. Captain Daren goes from
repair site to repair site to get a first-hand look at how things are
progressing. Meanwhile, the Flagstaff set their eyes on some of the
remnants of the Xur forces in the area. And in Sickbay, Doctor Kennedy
struggles to save the life of Commander Tlaloco, presumed dead after an
unfortunate incident with a plasma conduit.
A large piece of a Xur Carrier is towed into sensor range of Coronado
and others, the section of hull appears to encompass the command section
of the ship as well as 122 crew with stable life signs. With the
arrival of USS MacArthur, several fire teams are assembled to head over
to the chunk of ship. Colonel Prescot is assigned to lead one such team
from Coronado.
In his quarters, with the headaches as a continued annoyance, Rear
Admiral Lora Kor decides it's time to return to Xanadu. He prepares to
leave the Flag Ship on Kelaka as soon as possible.
Colonel Prescot's fire team is accompanied by Commander Savant who
provides those all over Coronado with a first person view of the hostile
ship. They find themselves surrounded by many of the Xur species,
apparently inactive but alive. They notice the very short six limbed
species have a pale brown/blue skin tone, and are extremely lithe in
respect to humanoids. Closely monitoring the progress of Coronado's Fire
Team, Captain Daren has one of the inactive Xur beamed into Sickbay's
transporter buffer for later study by the Xenobiological department.
On an experimental whim, Savant has a few pieces of equipment beamed to
the team's location. She expands a small atmospheric bubble around one
of the inert Xur, and the being begins to waken. It doesn't appear too
happy, clawing and hissing at the team on the opposite side of the
bubble. An instant later, a filament nearby the Xur whips out and makes
contact with one of the nearby Marines. Colonel Prescot calls for
immediate evacuation of his team, and Savant has the infected Marine
moved directly to Sickbay.
Before Dr. Kennedy has a chance to treat her new patient, the filaments
around the Marine plunge into the biobed's computer systems, and the
lights in Sickbay go out. On the bridge, Sickbay is quickly evacuated
and the entire deck is sealed off. Savant goes on the defensive and has
the biobed in Sickbay destroyed as well as all immediately surrounding
hardware. The main computer is scanned and determined to be free of
subversive elements.
Kelaka departs Coronado for Xanadu's Fourth Chamber as Lora Kor seeks
solace from his headaches beyond the Watcher's influence, and Wraith
Liberator 3/12 takes off on it's final journey to seal the anomaly. The
craft dives toward the anomaly and seals it with a flash of silent light
and a brief shockwave. With the rift closed, Xanadu is apparently on
its way again, preparing for Beckmann translation. Without specific
Flag orders, and a fitting end to the mission achieved, Coronado heads
for the Second Chamber and whatever Xanadu's next destination may be.
But before doing so, the crew says goodbye to two of it's own.
Commander Tlaloco, recovered from his near fatal injuries, and Doctor
Lauren Dyson petition the Captain to leave the ship and Starfleet and
take up residence on Tlaloco's private vessel. Daren makes it clear to
the Commander that his recent actions have not gone unnoticed and that
his choice to leave Starfleet would be a permanent one, lest he face
very serious charges. The couple gets underway just as Coronado sets
its bow toward the First Chamber entrance.
When Xanadu finishes it's translation, it is quickly determined that
we've landed back in the Pfhor-held system studied in some detail
earlier...
