 Notes from the Executive Officer:

Apologies for the extreme lateness of this report.  I had it all ready
to go on Friday when my ISP decided not to let me dial in for the entire
weekend.  But better late than never.

Okay, things went a little more smoothly this time around for me.  These
past two weeks have certainly been a learning experience for me, and I
would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Jester for
allowing me this opportunity.  It's not just been for my Command Course
Gold Star, but it's helped me see what I really need to do for starting
my own sim, which should hopefully be debuting around the time Coro
ends.  More on this will come at a later date.

I would also like to thank the crew for bearing with me.  Much of this
sim was thought up on the fly, though I did have a basic idea of where
we were going.  I do apologize for making this, as Fraser called it, a
"railshooter" sim.  In the future I hope to have a little more
flexibility built into my stories.  So, despite the flaws of the story
and my own shortcomings, I hope everyone was still able to have a good
 time.  I know I did.  ;-)

Sim Title: "Renegotiator", (Episode 715), Part Three

 Teaser and Pre-Sim:
 -------------------
Captain Stewart reviews the data concerning the troubled Saris system.
It appears that in at least one timeline all of Stewart's attempts to
save Saris resulted in the system's destruction.

 During the Sim:
 ---------------
Trusting Stewart about as far as they can through him, the Flag Staff
has agreed to allow Coronado to support Stewart's mission in lieu of a
better plan.  Captain Stewart suggests a more forceful approach to the
Saris system than Daren and the Flag Staff initially think wise, but
Stewart assures them that the Sarisians will respect a show of force.
The Marine Spectre squadrons are scrambled and Coronado enters the
 system.

Sarisian fighters move to intercept Coronado, but Stewart manages to
convince them that Coronado is a force to be reckoned with.  Grudgingly
the Sarisians agree to escort Coronado and Stewart to the homeworld.
Coro leaves her Spectre escort behind and makes a micro-jump to warp
within the system, dropping into orbit right on top of the planet Saris.
There Coro finds forces loyal to Thosis already orbiting the planet.

Meanwhile in sickbay, Drs. Kennedy and Dyson struggle to save the lives
of Commander Tal and her twin children.  The fight grows more desperate
the closer Coronado grows to Saris, but the sickbay staff can find no
 real reason for this.

When the two factions of Sarisians begin fighting, Captain Stewart
attempts to begin negotiations; but he collapses before he can even get
his introduction out of his mouth.  In sickbay, the male child within
Tal begins to fade rapidly.  On the bridge, Stewart begins to fade from
sight before everyone's eyes.  The Sarisians open fire on one another in
what could easily turn into a devastating fire fight.  At the moment
Tal's son dies, Stewart – Tal's grandson via the male twin – vanishes
from the bridge all together.  Within moments, everything is back to the
way it was before we met the enigmatic Captain Stewart Wallace, except
that the singularity which we had been studying has been reduced to
smaller than its original size.  And Velorna Tal now only bears one
child in the womb that previously carried two.
