Sim Title: "The Last Patrol", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

Admiral Charles Theron gives his "Last Patrol" speech during the
annual Party on Churchill Downs, making it clear he believes that
present and future generations should stop looking toward the Milky
Way and begin seeing Reor'sa and the M64 galaxy as their home.
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado's away team returned to the ship, bearing a random sampling
of documents gathered from what appeared to be a government building
on the surface of the innermost moon. Because we do not yet read
the local language of this planet, Lieutenant Brooks and Commander
Savant got to work on building a translation matrix. The latter
sped the task by distributing the computing workload across hundreds
of Defender computers via ansible, but also earned Captain Daren a
scolding from the owner of one of those computers, the CO of R.S.
Destiny, whose computer was taken over. Captain Daren apologized
for the incident. Coronado, meanwhile, slipped out of the system
and returned to the staging area where her escorts were waiting.
The frigate's presence in the system might not have gone entirely
unnoticed, however: the holographic defense system suffered a
partial break-down as Coro exited, possibly revealing the ship to
the Pfhor in-system. There was an increase of transport activity;
nevertheless, the Admiral ordered one of our escorts into the system
to gather more printed material to ease the translation problem,
this time from a "news stand" identified by Captain Drexler. This
second mission was also successful, and the data transmitted to
Coronado for translation with the first set of data. Meanwhile, a
number of Pfhor transports lifted off two of the moons, and two
other transports searched nearby systems, presumably for us.
Soon after, a Pfhor destroyer arrived in the system, escorting a
convoy. As the convoy made its way to the two innermost moons,
enough translation on the documents had been gathered to determine
that the relationship between the local species and the Pfhor
appears to be remarkably cooperative, after some kind of change of
relationship about a year ago. In addition, the information pointed
to another Pfhor colony nearby that is acting as a trading partner.
This information seemed proved when the arriving convoy made for the
moons of the inner gas giant, as a number of outbound transports
linked up with the destroyer, presumably for a trip out of the
system. The Admiral ordered two of Coronado's escorts to shadow the
convoy and learn to where it travels. In the meantime, the
remaining three ships will hold their position, trying to learn more
about the colony we have found...
