Notes from the Admiral:
Hi all. :) This week, we say good bye to two of our simmers. McC,
aka Commander Reed, has chosen to step down from his position as
Chief Medical Officer, due to real life time constraints. McC is
one of Coro's longest term simmers, and I know that I and many of
you wish him well and hope we'll be seeing him for the fantasy sim.
In the meantime, I suspect he'll continue to be around, and has
expressed interest in playing NPC characters from time to time.
In addition, due to three unannounced absences in a row, I have
removed 2nd Lieutenant Ferres Mors from the roster.
In other news, UCIP politics, in the form of some "required" reports
from Coro's Marines, might be forcing a change of venue for the sim
in the near future. God knows, I just want to finish out our last
10 months in UCIP in peace without a lot of harassment. We'll see
if we're allowed to. I'll keep you informed. ;)

Sim Title: "Atonement", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

R.S. Dauntless returns to Reor'sa, setting off a controversy
regarding the actions of the ship's Captain and crew. Meanwhile,
Rear Admiral Lora Kor is recalled to the planet to consult with the
Admiralty about his new orders.
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado returned to Reor'sa after her trip to the Frant homeworld.
The frigate comes home in the midst of the Dauntless controversy,
particularly since Coro had such a large part in the actions of
Dauntless's Captain and crew. In particular, Lieutenant D'rall is
under a cloud as it is no secret that her name is prominent in
Valentine family correspondence; it is rumored that a message was
sent to D'rall by Tess Valentine nearly a century ago explaining
D'rall's role. As a result, Coro's return to the system is an
event, and a number of Reorsan news media organizations not
only broadcast the approach of the frigate, but attempt to gain
access to interviews with her senior staff.
Once Coro had safely entered orbit, the Admiral and Commander
Drexler returned aboard, with different missions in mind. Lora Kor
made it clear that he was coming aboard to gather his things and
move them to Xanadu. It seems likely that until a remedy is found
for whatever is affecting the Trill Admiral, he'll have to make his
home in the asteroid-starship. Drexler came aboard to brief Captain
Daren and the rest of Coro's senior staff that a Mantu class
destroyer, formerly belonging to the Pfhor Hegemony but now
controlled by the S'pht, was entering the system and was not to be
interfered with. The S'pht had gained permission to enter the
system, claiming to want to negotiate a matter of some importance.
In the meantime, other issues relating to our trip to the past
remain. Lora Kor negotiated the return of several hundred Klingons
to M64 with us, and gave General Ironside the task of integrating
them into the Defender ground forces. In particular, the Admiral
hinted that he will still be pressing for a solution to the Xuni
issue, given our negotiated settlement with the Ryla regarding that
subverted planet. The Admiral seemed to think that he Klingons
would be helpful in those efforts. In addition, other members of
Coronado's crew, notably Commander Tlaloco and Lt. Commander Dyson,
were also dealing with issues that came out of the trip to the past,
in their case, the relationship between the children of these two
officers, and the relationship between the officers themselves...
