BIG BIG BIG character development sim...we run the gammet from
impending wedding to impending galactic doom...wait, is there a
difference? ;-)
Sim Title: "This Day, This Place", Part 3
Teaser and Pre-Sim:
-------------------
Tebrun makes arrangements to travel and rejoin Kishrak from a local
communications booth along the streets of Reorsa. The Ferengi man has
a packet sent to pick Tebrun up, so they can discuss future
arrangements.
During the Sim:
---------------
Commodore William Daren holds an informal staff meeting on the bridge
where he announces that after careful consideration he will be
complying with the Reorsan President's demands to resign his
commission and turn Coronado over to be a part of their Alliance
fleet. Daren admits to being impulsive in the past and reacting badly
to the initial demands by Reorsa. He comes to terms with the fact
that Coronado's survival would be in serious jeopardy, and explains
this to his staff. Soon, representatives from the Civilian Authority
will come to do a primary inspection of the vessel and officially take
possession.
Commander Tal's condition following her visit with Admiral Wallace is
improving. In a sickbay confession of sorts, she tells Daren how she
had to kill Wallace and quickly make her escape after the man ordered
her to kill him and Lora Kor. She explains Wallace's plans for taking
out key members of Alliance officials.
At Jeremy Ironside's Cottage in the Reorsan woods, many of the old
flag staff meet. Tebrun informs his former staff members that he
turned down his recent offer from Brian Aldur to join the newly
forming Military, for medical reasons. He's been recently diagnosed
with Jau Maret Syndrome, a Trill ailment that occurs where the host-
symbiont connection has been lost or will be lost. The condition is
terminal for the host, and the doctors have given him only weeks to
live, possibly a few months at best. They then discuss the future of
Xanadu and it's mysteries, and speculate on how to save the universe.
Pieces begin to fall into their proper places as a Reorsan Transport
docks with Coronado. Julian Gerard, a civilian representative, with
three companions makes his way to the bridge looking for Maiko D'rall.
When he only finds Daren, he doesn't appear happy with being toyed
with. Daren tells the man to relax, and he searches the database for
a suitable Reorsan Military representative to take over temporary
command of Coronado while she undergoes her transfer.
