 Notes from the Captain:

 Sim Report....Sim REport.....Sim rePORT!

Sim Title: "Mass Resignation", Part 1

 Teaser and Pre-Sim:
 -------------------
A future event, taking place on December 24, 2404.  The Xanadu
catapult is used to open a 36-hour gate to the Milky Way.  So now we
know how the story ends, there's really no need to watch the last few
 episodes, right?  Wrong!  ;)

 During the Sim:
 ---------------
The Flag Staff in Xanadu's Fourth Chamber have been bogged down in
several meetings with the Nexus Representation.  The series of
meetings are an information exchange between the two parties,
sometimes the results lead to answers, other times to more questions
and concern.  Here are some meaningful bits of information gathered
 from the series of meetings:
** The Nexus calls the 4th Chamber, "The Corridor".  They estimate
that they have been traveling along it for over 60,000 years now.
Several million people live in The Corridor, there is a form of
    government known as the Hexamon.
** They state that they are riding "the singularity". Apparently in
their section of the Corridor, only one of the two singularities
that we know to exist is present.
** They can use probability clusters located at certain points along
the Corridor to open gates to any time or place.
** The is an entire city riding the singularity of The Corridor.
** There are other species that use the gates and gate travel. Perhaps
beings known as Jarts, that may have a facility very much like
    Xanadu.
** The Hexamon are at war with the Jarts over parts of the Corridor.
** The Jart can look like anyone or anything, but are not
    shape-shifters in the traditional sense.

Meanwhile, Coronado has been scouting the Nebula for quite some time.
They have been dropping sensor buoys along their route should effects
of the pending anomaly occur in an area they have already been
through. Coronado engages in a bit of a chase through the nebula when
they pass by a patrol of Xur ships.  In the fog of inaccurate and
unusable sensors, Coronado manages to slip past by setting of a
quantum torpedo detonation in it's wake.

The modified slipstream drive begins to show signs of stress as a
stability coil (one of many that help to regulate the slipstream
reaction) inside the core fails.  The problem, usually a minimum
priority, could be the sign of a troubled road ahead should the drive
continue to operate under such stress for so long.  Commander Farley
recommends the ship slow to impulse drive as soon as possible in order
to conduct the repair.  An area of the nebula is decided upon and the
ship takes a pit stop as tensions both on the bridge and elsewhere on
the ship begin to mount, causing more than a few raised voices.

And, it get's worse.  Many of Coronado's sensor buoys show signs of a
much larger Xur presence than originally thought.
