Notes from the Admiral:
Not a whole lot to say about this one, other than we're gonna start
picking up steam again now that everyone appears to be well-rested
from the last few episodes.
More roster changes this week, as long-time observer Prill decides
to join a REAL IRC sim (::grins::). Seriously, welcome, Prill! :)
In addition, it's a good bet that we'll be getting Marcy back on the
crew starting with next week's sim.

Sim Title: "Cold and Distant Stars", Part 2
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

In 2431, Joe Fisher explains to his granddaughter the danger of
Tears and what kind of damage they can cause. In particular, he
references the Odyssey, whose mission is to find the biggest of the
Tears, and "mend it."
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado has landed and is currently sitting on the interior surface
of the asteroid-starship Xanadu, primarily to facilitate repairs to
the upper saucer. The gravity on the interior surface was high
enough to make the saucer a stable place to work, and the atmosphere
was a great asset given Coro's current reduced power situation. As
a result, Commander Farley could dispense with force fields during
the repair process and can concentrate on replacing the components
that apparently disappeared when the energy sphere/lifeform struck
Coronado. In addition, the hull of that area of the saucer appears
to be partially melted, which will make repairs a bit more
interesting. While confirming that his teams were ahead of
schedule, Farley had the opportunity to meet the new Command Yeoman
(and to escort her to meet the Captain in a somewhat unusual place)
and have a chat with Lieutenant D'rall in the Holodeck.
Lieutenant D'rall's therapy is proceeding following the attack on
her that was part of the attack on Coronado. In particular, Doctor
Reed was able to prevent paralysis, but was forced to use an implant
to assist the transmission of nerve impulses below the Lieutenant's
waist. As a result, she will be spending some time getting used to
walking and running again as there is a delay of a few hundred
milliseconds between trying to initiate movement and the movement
happening. Lieutenant D'rall wasn't the only one having medical
issues, either. Rear Admiral Lora Kor, suffering from the worst
headache yet, eventually had to be assisted back to Coronado for
further examinations by Doctor Reed.
The one bit of good news is that Alicia has been allowing our teams
more access to key functions in the Xanadu asteroid-starship,
particularly control functions in the Second and Third Chambers.
Much of the Admiralty team has been spending a lot of time in the
Third Chamber control room that was instrumental in allowing us to
escape the most recent time loops. In particular, the team was able
to confirm that the control room manages where and how Xanadu links
to the singularities and speculated that this control room might
either be a back-up for the "platform control room" in the Second
Chamber... or perhaps, vice versa.
