Notes from the Admiral:
Lots of changes in the roster this week! Welcome to Tyler, who
didn't go insane or anything in his first week aboard Coronado. ;)
I'm also the bearer of unhappy news: Masters, aka Lt. Colonel Thomas
Wayne, resigned his positions in UCIP this week, including his
position aboard Coronado. I'm very sorry to see him go, and I'm
sure you all are too. :/ Take care, Masters, and don't be a
stranger! Let us know how you're doing from time to time...
Other than that, a nice quiet sim this week, and probably a nice
quiet episode all the way around to give everyone lots of time to
recover from the rather odd-ball plot of the last two months plus.

Sim Title: "Cold and Distant Stars", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

Tebrun Lora Kor broods over the meager personal possessions that
Colonel Stephen Gregg brought on board Coronado, while trying to
fill in the gaps in the "man's" story and what the loops might mean
and what L036/L037 might have to do with it.
During the Sim:
---------------
A very quiet day aboard Coronado, with personnel aboard finally
having time to catch up on the many responsibilities that go with
life aboard a starship. Others had leisure to simply relax and take
in the fact that for the first time in weeks, Coronado wasn't off to
another trouble spot or dealing with loops in time. The only truly
busy part of the ship was Engineering, given both the damage to the
ship and the unexpected news that Commander Oswald had resigned her
commission to take a civilian job. As a result, not only did
Engineering have to deal with Coronado's state, but a potential new
Chief Engineer.
Engineering wasn't the only department breaking in new crew members.
With Coronado near Xanadu, it was convenient to handle some of the
crew transfers that have been stacking up of late. As a result, a
new Marine Flight Leader, Major Deveraux, came aboard as well as a
new Chief Science Officer, Lieutenant Anna Brooks. These two
officers met with their immediate superiors to introduce themselves
and soon got busy with the business of learning their way around the
ship and around their particular areas of responsibility.
Another group working instead of relaxing were the bulk of the
Admiralty staff. Commander Ma'Aru has left the ship to devote
herself full-time to command of the Defiant class escort Cerberus,
but the rest of the group convened in Xanadu's Third Chamber control
room. We still have very little information about what this control
room might be for. The Admiral theorizes that its primary purpose
is to determine where and how Xanadu links to the singularities that
are strung through the center of the asteroid-starship. The group
managed to prompt Alicia into appearing, and she seemed surprisingly
forthright for a change, hinting that the only reason that she
allowed the team to use this control room's facilities during the
loops was because of a loophole in her orders...
