Notes from the Admiral:
Twists and turns aplenty, but I hope people are now seeing the way
out of this. ::chuckles:: Whether we manage to break out of the
loop in the fourth iteration or an upcoming fifth iteration remains
to be seen, however... The Captain might not live through this
iteration if you guys aren't VERY careful. ;)
Maybe it'll take a sixth to get it all right? ;)

Sim Title: "Archangel", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

Rear Admiral Lora Kor convinces himself that whatever Stephen Gregg
is, the supposed Marine Colonel is lying about the loss of our
"thread."
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado, Cerberus, Kelaka, and the other Defender ships and small
craft in the area moved to deal with the ramifications of the
"lights going out" in Xanadu: primarily evacuating the asteroid-
starship. Without the singularities present to provide heat and
warmth, particularly to the Second Chamber, there's no way the Jjaro
artifact can support the hundreds of personnel within. As a result,
the ships were busy ferrying people out of the asteroid-starship...
right up until the moment that Commander Velorna Tal, on her own
authority, decided to "loop the thread" again. She inputted our
latest sensor data into the Jjaro data feed from the Eye, causing
time to loop back to before Coronado entered L036/L037.
As in the previous three iterations, all personnel retained their
memory of previous iterations. The Admiral, in particular, was
incensed by the repetition and to prevent it happening again, firmly
ordered that in this iteration, we'd avoid L036/L037 and the data
there entirely. The Admiral is now completely convinced that the
Eye and the data there are an Adversary trap of some kind and that
NOT collecting the data at all is the right thing to do. By this,
he hopes to prevent the tear forming there and therefore prevent
Xanadu appearing there at all. The Admiral's theory seemed to be at
least somewhat confirmed by the appearance of Colonel Stephen Gregg.
Though Gregg's loyalties are suspect to say the least (we suspect
that there are probably "two of him," one serving Aeon, one serving
Aentropie), he did provide instant transport for Coronado to Xanadu
and suggested that the answers we need are there.
Cerberus, meanwhile, remained in the vicinity of L036/L037 and Lora
Kor ordered that she and the other ships still in that area blockade
that system until this crisis is over. These orders were almost
sabotaged by Commander Tal, who apparently subverted, ordered the
Defiant ships into the system to collect the data at the Eye. All
three ships reported back to Coronado to confirm these orders, and
learned that the orders were illegal. The Admiral, meanwhile, led a
team into Xanadu, intent on investigating the Third Chamber
machinery in general and how and where the singularities come from
specifically. Commander Tal's subterfuge was unfortunately not
transmitted to Captain Daren in time, however, and while Kelaka was
getting under way, Commander Tal took the Captain as a hostage, and
locked the two of them in his Ready Room. She then killed power and
life support to the Bridge, and ordered that Coronado be put on a
course to L036/L037 and threatened to kill the Captain if this was
not done...
