Personal Log, Stardate 240203.10, Tebrun Lora Kor, recording.

::chuckles:: Yolad's memories are very strong lately. It doesn't
take a lot of thought to realize why, either. Coronado has been
reduced to a "warp 5" ship, though the warp scale has changed a
couple of times since the Yolad host had the Kor symbiont... Gods...
220 years ago! But however you look at the subatomic particle
traces and Cerenkov radiation flashing by outside the ship, whether
through Tebrun's eyes, who has seen speeds exceeding 200,000C, or
Yolad's... whose eyes never saw even 500C... however you look at the
sparkling flashes outside the ship, they seem slow.

Coronado has been reduced to a warp 5 ship. Surprisingly, I find
that I am in no hurry. Maybe Yolad's patience is rubbing off on me
 lately.

Coro has been cruising for eleven days now, on a course more or less
directly "north." Our intended destination is the J043 system,
northwest of Xuni, southeast of Taer... right in the middle of some
of the oldest first-generation stars in the M64 galaxy. However,
though the Taer and Xuni are both millenia in advance of Federation
technology, J043 is currently uninhabited and appears to have always
 been that way.

MRF Onyx, having recently completed her work in the final
construction of Reorsan starship Destiny, has left the Penthia
system, where Destiny is undergoing final space trials and fitting
out. Onyx is also proceeding to J043 at warp 7, and Coro and Onyx
will rendezvous there a little more than a week from now. Once the
rendezvous is complete, Onyx will evaluate Coro's damage and I can
either elect to have the frigate repaired on site there, or Onyx's
Atlas class tugs can take the ship on to Reor for repair there.

To have the leisure to travel at these speeds! At first, I thought
the time would be a horrible waste... but as I said, Yolad's
patience must be rubbing off. I soon realized that this downtime is
the first time I haven't had to *be somewhere*... *right now* in...
months. I honestly can't remember my last real vacation. Perhaps
that is the cause of my headaches. Perhaps it is just the stress...
the stress of commanding a group, of trying to help the delicate
construction of something that will survive the dangerous
 environment of M64.

It's an appealing theory. It might even be true.

At least the departure from Enigma has a happy ending. Once
Coronado had some kind of warp capability restored, I ordered the
activation of the holographic probe. The Traxati did finally
respond and the running hunch aboard ship appears to have been the
true one... the Traxati still have a hard time differentiating
between a Pfhor starship and one belonging to the Defenders. To
have a Pfhor warship actually *fall* on their world, followed almost
instantly -- in the Traxati sense of time, of course -- by a second
approaching ship seems to have enraged the world-life.

Probably would have upset me quite a bit as well.

In the meantime, the Traxati have accepted our... apology?
explanation? Well, in any case, they seem to understand now that we
are not the Pfhor and the impact of their warship wasn't our fault.
Didn't get us very far in our intelligence-gathering, unfortunately.
I'm beginning to realize that the Traxati are gifted negotiators.
When we asked for more information about possible prior entries of
humanoid starships into the M64 galaxy, the Traxati made it clear
that they would provide this information... in exchange for removing
the hulk of the Pfhor warship from its surface.

We get what we want when they get the impossible.

It's turning out to be a very typical Traxati negotiating tactic.
I've made a note to talk it over with Onyx's commanding officer when
we rendezvous. Perhaps the MRF's two Atlas tugs can tow the hulk
off the surface, or cut it up... or something. It would be of
benefit to us as well, of course... we can use all the data we can
find on Pfhor power sources, weapons, and technology... particularly
since that particular destroyer seems to have been significantly
altered from the standard, from what scans of it we managed to take
 in Enigma.

In any case, it's a problem that will wait, particularly given
Traxati patience. In the meantime, the data on the J043 system
seems very interesting. Might be worth having Onyx do the repairs
on site to get a closer look at some of the planets in-system.

As I said, I don't seem to be in any particular hurry to be anywhere
just now. But that might be the headaches talking, too...

 Computer, end recording.
