Notes from the Captain:
Hi all. :) Now that I'm back on a decent monitor, progress on the
multiple changes I've been promising for the website has actually
gotten moving in a forward direction again. ;) Watch for lots of
changes to the site over the next several weeks (and yes, the OOC
database is high on that list ;) ).
This episode was written by Aggie aka Captain Craig Serrold, so any
tomatoes that are to be hurled should be hurled in his general
direction. All in all, though, I suppose it went pretty well. ;)

Sim Title: "Will of the One", Part 3
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

Admirals Aldur and Theron discuss the construction of and dedication
plaques for six Defiant II class destroyer escorts currently being
built in M64 as a desperate stop-gap to hold the line against the
Pfhor. In the process, Theron slowly brings Aldur around to the
younger man's rather aggressive, adversarial way of thinking
regarding the six ships and their mission. Vice Admiral Aldur then
returns the favor by correctly guessing the motives of the Will of
the One and advising Theron on the best course of action to use with
what Aldur calls an Apori "cult."
During the Sim:
---------------
Coronado and the Camelynian cruiser continued to hold position
outside the Pitstop system while Coro's repair and medical teams
worked aboard the damaged U.S.S. Swiftsure. As those aboard Coro
waited for the teams on Swiftsure to complete their work, we
continued to discuss the actions of the Apori group known as the
"Will of the One."
With the major work done on Swiftsure, one particular problem
remained from the destroyer: the ship's Executive Officer, a joined
Trill, was killed during the Apori attack. Commander Tlaloco
managed to safely extract the symbiont, but with the Starfleet ships
scattered far and wide, there was not a good selection of possible
hosts. Tlaloco called Commodore Lora Kor to Sickbay to discuss the
problem, and whether Marine Captain Serrold might be a good host.
Lora Kor specified that Serrold is part of Ironside's chain of
command and the decision should rest with the Colonel.
While Ironside met with Commander Tlaloco on this issue, Lora Kor
met with Commander Drexler regarding the latter's unusual behavior
over the last several weeks. After getting to the heart of the
problem -- Drexler has been slowly discovering his once-lost memory
-- Lora Kor first suggested some ways to assist Drexler with
bringing these memories more swiftly to the surface then offered
Drexler the opportunity to be the Adjutant and Chief of Staff for
the Whitestone task group. Drexler accepted, and Lora Kor informed
him of other members of the Task Group staff that Drexler would have
to gather.
With Swiftsure repaired, the next major problem facing Coro's
engineering team is the false matter torpedo fired at the Pfhor
during our engagement with their battleship in the Reor system.
During that engagement, the Pfhor managed to shut down the false
matter generator in the torpedo, rendering it useless. A large
team, including both Coro's key engineering personnel and Mr.
Alados, got to work on this problem.
Meanwhile, a shuttlecraft arrived from Reor with Coronado's new
Executive Officer, Commander Darek Smith aboard. Captain Daren
welcomed the new XO aboard; Smith was soon poking around the ship
getting a feel for Coronado. Down in Sickbay, Ironside relented
and allowed the Trill symbiont to be implanted in Serrold... but
the decision to do so prompted an emotional exchange between
Serrold and Commander Ma'Aru...
