 Notes from the Captain:

Hello from Colorado! Sorry this report is so late... I made it out
here with no problems, though. Now just give me some time to get
 caught up with everything. ;-)

See you all next week, also known as tomorrow. ;-)

Sim Title: "Dilemma of Principles", Part 3

 Teaser and Pre-Sim:
 -------------------
The allies learn that two new Starfleet vessels have joined the group
from two different directions. U.S.S. Thunderchild, while searching
for Task Group 5.4, finds themselves sharing their fate when the ship
passes through the Hayashi hypergate. Meanwhile, U.S.S. Anderson
finally learns from the Boratis the location of Reorsa and starship
U.S.S. Churchill, which the crew of the ship has been searching for
for several months. Both starships approach orbit of Reor.

 During the Sim:
 ---------------
Coronado and Blackrazor continued to wait outside of the Micropolis
system, monitoring the situation and scanning for Pfhor activity.
Lt. Commander Ma'Aru, in particular, informed Commander Daren that
the Pfhor had apparently attempted to contact the Micropolis natives
 in two locations.  Strangely, the contact seemed to be quite hostile;
after a short meeting, the Pfhor killed the contacted natives. In
the meantime, Alados worked with Colonel Ironside, helping him to
develop internal mental disciplines. The Captain hopes that these
disciplines will, at worst, keep the Colonel from spontaneously
teleporting and at best, give him conscious control of the ability.

It wasn't long before three Pfhor transports entered the system using
their spacefold drives, falling toward the second planet. It was
quickly clear that they intended to reinforce the Hunters and Hounds
on the surface, especially when they began launching strike craft.
While the strike craft turned to engage Coronado and Blackrazor, the
transports continued toward the planet. The Captain quickly realized
that the fighters weren't much more than a diversion to keep the
allied vessels from interfering with the Pfhor landing. However,
this did not stop the inevitable -- the strike craft engaged the
allied ships, and we had no choice but to defend ourselves. When
one of his squadron was killed by one of the strike craft, however,
Serrold went into a rage, determined to destroy all the strike craft.

Meanwhile, it was clear that the Micropolis natives were becoming
more and more enraged with the Pfhor and were somehow picking up the
anger and frustration of the allies. The battle in space was quite
one-sided: with no capital ships to support them, the allied ships
rolled right over the strike craft. However, this slaughter was
completely unnecessary; the Pfhor either did not realize or did not
believe that the allied ships would not directly interfere with the
 landing of their transports.

However, the Captain was not willing to leave it at that. When
Alados reported that the natives were angry and frustrated about
being treated like children, he realized how he could protect the
Micropolis natives from the Pfhor without violating the Prime
Directive. The Captain even checked his plan with Commander Tlaloco
due to the latter's well-known defense of the Prime Directive.

Lora Kor ordered Captain Serrold recalled to Coronado and asked Lt.
Commander Ma'Aru to isolate the locations of as many of the Hunters
and Hounds as she could. That data was projected onto one of the
holographic displays in the CIC. Once Serrold was aboard, the
Captain showed him the display, and carefully channeled his rage into
thinking about destroying the Hunters and Hounds he could see. This
information was somehow communicated to the Micropolis natives, who
soon turned their attention to destroying the Pfhor...
