Notes from the Captain:
::chuckles:: I had two choices for this week's sim report. I could
write a seven paragraph "summary" or a four paragraph one. There was
simply WAY too much going on during this sim. ;) Since, other than
Skylooker, all of the characters were represented, I'm going to assume
that all of you know more or less what happened. The key plots that I
skimped on a bit are the internal fight going on within Savant and the
continuing adventures of Lieutenant Hammond and Commander Tlaloco, this
time in the shuttlebay where they encountered an unfriendly Hound. ;)
Both plots were running VERY well, but they were also both somewhat hard
to summarize. Feel free to read what actually happened in the sim log...
Also, again, as I mentioned during the sim itself, one of us has
expressed a lot of interest in an OOC Coro sim members page, including
pictures and birthdays (and I would add the place where you live IRL).
IF and only if you're interested in participating, send me any of those
three items and based on the amount of information I receive, I will
chat with all of you to decide whether to put the webpage up or not.

Sim Title: "Against Her Will", Part 1
Teaser and Pre-Sim:

The ambush that the Pfhor had prepared in the I032 system has been broken
up, thanks to the intervention of the Camelynian King Lan DuLac battle
group on our behalf. However, the danger is not yet over; Pfhor ships
are still at large in the area being pursued by the Camelynians. In
addition, a Marine landing force is aboard the single disabled Pfhor
destroyer, attempting to capture the ship. The Camelynians had a rather
large surprise in store for the Pfhor warships: a false matter shielding
technology able to repulse the Pfhor anti-proton particle beams.
During the Sim:
---------------
Power, which had been failing aboard U.S.S. Coronado, continued to fail
until only minimal power was available throughout the ship. That power,
strangely, seemed to be routing through communications in the Intel
Support module in Coro's saucer section. Several officers reported that
Coro was transmitting coded data on a wide frequency range. Outside the
ship, the Camelynians and Wraiths had their hands ful with several groups
of newly active Pfhor strike craft. However, these strike craft were
very different from ones we have encountered in the past. Where a
typical Pfhor ship is somewhat clumsy tactically, relying on overwhelming
firepower to destroy its opponents, these were much more dangerous: very
precise in their weapons fire, very agile in their movements. The allied
ships had a difficult time pinning them down.
However, even more strangely, the Pfhor vesseles seemed to become active
or go inactive at almost random intervals. The allied ships, including
the Raptors, eventually realized two things: first, that the strike craft
seemed to be concentrating their fire on Lt. Colonel Wayne's individual
ship for some reason, and second, an inactive and therefore non-mobile
strike craft is much easier to kill than one that is dodging almost as if
it could read your targetting sensors...
What those in the I032 system didn't realize was that Savant was deep
within her own "memories" confronting "Ryosei", either an image of the
real thing or a metaphor representing the personification of the virus.
As both Savant and Coronado are infected, Savant's battle affected both
her android body sitting in a classrom lab on Reorsa and Coronado in the
I032 system. Realizing something was happening but not sure what, the
Captain and Commander Drexler attempted to shut down the communications
link. This was successful in restoring Coro's power many light-years
away, but Lora Kor and Drexler, along with Commander Oswald, assisting,
of course have no way of knowing this. However, the virus, being alive,
could attempt to thwart each attempt to cut off its access to Coro and so
the comm link went up and down like a yo-yo as the virus and the
Starfleet officers struggled for control of it.
Meanwhile, Colonel Ironside and Marines from Coronado, MacArthur, and
Camelynian Shadow Knights were facing another problem. These troops had
boarded the Pfhor destroyer and were attempting to put it under some kind
of control. These efforts were hampered by the Pfhor ship's crew size,
which was immense even without the apparent Hunter barracks, which had
been destroyed in its battles with Coronado and Camelynian carrier King
Lan DuLac. In particular, the Marines encountered a large number of both
hunters and the floating metallic cylinder species that an earlier team
from Coronado had encountered in the Tarndare system and elsewhere. The
metallic cylinders also fight with plasma weapons, and have the annoying
habit of exploding when killed. The Marines also encountered a much
heavier, even more dangerous species: something about the size of a
Brikar in the Milky Way, except with grey skin, and nearly as impossible
to stop. In many cases, the Marines were forced to make small gains,
then consolidate and hold the areas they already controlled. The Marines
also heard bird-like warbles and clicks which indicated the presence of
the bird-like species seen in the Tarndare system somewhere aboard...
