"Well, it didn't end exactly on a happy note, but I would call this
mission a rousing success.", Vice Admiral Brian Aldur was actually seated
in Fleet Captain Lora Kor's Ready Room and not communicating with him via
holographic commuinque. The two men had recently returned from deep
within the city of Churchill Downs where they each had a chance to meet
with Commander T'Lara of U.S.S. Churchill shortly before her death. "How
is the analysis of the attack on the Reorsan patrol ship progressing."

"At latest report, quite slowly, Admiral", Lora Kor reported. "I have
several members of my crew working on the problem around the clock.
Commander Daren reports that several officers have volunteered to work
through Beta shift to continue the investigation. There is quite a bit
of data to analyze. Sensors detected evidence of some sort of
'space-folding drive,' not to mention the unusual weaponry present on
those ships."

Aldur nodded. "I suppose then that you are wondering what I have in
store for Coronado next then?"

Lora Kor grinned. "I have to admit Admiral that the next thing on my
mind was getting to sleep. It is approaching shift change, and while
our crews were out enjoying shore leave, we were otherwise occupied."

The Vice Admiral laughed a bit, "I can certainly understand that," he
began to rub his temples at the thought. "I am a bit exhausted myself."
He did however manage to produce a Starfleet PADD from somewhere and toss
it across the desk to Lora Kor who began to read it.

"The Taerens?", he smiled.

"I know. The name is remarkable similar in pronunciation to 'Terrans,'
but I assure you these Taerens are quite different." He took a breath.
"The Taer system is roughly 40 light years from here. The Taerens are
a friendly species to the Reorsans. They have heard of our presence in
M64 and are interested in meeting with us. Since I've moved Stirling to
Reor for the present time our presence in this system is stabilized. I
am therefore sending Coronado to Taer. There is no time like the
present so I'd like you to get moving immediatly."

With that the Admiral stood up to leave. The Captain returned the
movement, and the two stepped onto the bridge where Commander Daren was
seated in the center chair. Lora Kor spoke out, "Commander, we have
orders to proceed to the Taer system at slipstream velocity." He turned
to address the helm, "Mr. Dejat, you'll find the coordinates in the
data recieved from the Reorsans. Please prepare the ship for immediate
ascent!"

A chime sounded gently throughout the entire ship indicating change of
shifts and the corridor lighting on all decks dimmed by 50 percent.

Lora Kor continued, "The Admiral will be joining us for our trip through
the atmosphere. Please drop him off on Stirling before we depart. I
will be in my quarters, catching up on some much needed rest." With
that he stepped off the bridge and into the main turbolift.

"Aye Sir, Daren to Engineering... Blue Alert!"
