RECORDING.

Coronado has been near what is recorded on our charts as the LT-634 system
for twelve hours now. We have been monitoring both this system and the
nearby LT-635 system during this time, and to date, have not been interfered
with. Because both systems are now technically inhabited, I have taken the
liberty of naming both. Basing my names on Earth mythology, I have named
the LT-634 system bearing the Orange Type 6 star and the first Traxati gate,
"Wormwood." The second system, LT-635, bearing the Red Type 3 star and the
second Traxati gate, I have christened "Brimstone." Neither system has
planets, or in fact any object of mass greater than a few grams, other than
the system's star and the gates. Both names conjure up highly negative
associations in Earth mytholgy, and as such, both names were both highly
appropriate, and availble. Nobody wanted to name their home system after
the fires of Earth hell, apparently.

The fires of anti-neutronium, still contained in our shuttlebay in a
14-meter section of Traxati probe conjure up images of nothing else to this
officer than those fires of Hell. As I said, the names are appropriate.

During the past twelve hours, we have monitored three separate fleets of
Traxati probes enter the gate in the Wormwood system. All three fleets
originated from the gates in the Brimstone system. In addition, a fourth
fleet of Traxati probes attacked the gate itself... this was a horrifying
spectacle. Neutronium needles, of course, have no effect on the neutronium
material of the gate itself. A few dents is all we monitored.

However, neutronium has no trouble at all slicing through the objects
attached to the gates, causing tremendous... well... injuries to those
creatures clinging to the Wormwood gate. In addition, we detected damage to
the gravitic drives that the creatures clinging to the Wormwood gates are
both preventing from operating, and apparently protecting. The probes
attacked for six minutes before we were given the shock of our lives...
