Notes from the Executive Officer
Fun sim last night. Thanks for all the hard work gang. Also again I would
like to thank Ryan for giving up his sim time to allow Fraser to sim his
part so we could finish off the plot.
And in case anyone is wondering.... Swift will be back, sooner or later. :)
Just a reminder that as off July 21st through to September 10th I will be
LOA. But on the September 11th Sim I will be back simming regularily. If you
need anything by all means send me an email after August the 9th as I will
still be checking it.

Sim Title: "Reflections", Part 3
Due to the nature of the following information this report is deemed highly
classified by Starfleet Intelligence.
The Marines beamed down into the complex while the Borg came ever closer.
In the next half hour the marines fought off various Jem'Hadar soldiers and
eventually were able to lay the charges around the artifact.
Back on the ship Swift, Dejat, Dalton and Oswald prepped the ship for
leaving the area. Dalton in particular was eager to leave as he had the
portal ready to go at a moments notice.
Time began to run out and Swift ordered Oswald to beam up the Marines. As
soon as Ironside and Wayne were aboard he ordered Dejat to leave the area
who began to argue but after a couple of jolts from a Borg cube did as he
was told.
Ironside ran to the bridge and attempted to arrest Swift for leaving ten
Marines to die, Swift argued that he was only following orders and had done
nothing wrong. As this was going on Swift noted that they were being pursued
by a Borg cube so he ordered Dalton to prep the warp core to self destruct
and eject it just as they slid through the portal in hopes that the
exploding warp core would halt the cube in it's tracks and keep the cube
from following them home into their own universe.
They were successful but the explosion backwashed through the portal and
sent the small ship into a spin. Being that they were still partially in
warp this did not do much for the health of the crew inside. Eventually
Dejat was able to stabilize the spin using thrusters and Swift and Ironside
resumed there argument.
Just then the USS Coronado fresh from her refit arrived on the scene to pick
up any survivors.
After pleading his case Captain Lora Kor deemed it appropriate to charge
Captain Swift for the deaths of the ten Marines and ordered him into the
brig. Upon their arrival at Starbase 247 he would be court marshaled.
