"You've got the wonderful job of overseeing the repairs and refit Exec."
said Captain LoraKor as he prepared to board a shuttle that would take
him to the Annual Meeting of Captains.

"Aye Captain. Looks to be a fairly boring couple of weeks for the most part,"
responded Commander Jarod Bentall

The Captain turned to leave, but stopped as he remembered something. "While
your at it make time to interview candidates for the Chief Engineers position.
Lieutenant TPrax has requested a transfer to the USS Nightshade. I'll see you
shortly."

Jarod nodded and left the shuttle bay. A few minutes later he was on the
bridge. "As soon as Captain LoraKor's shuttle departs let Starbase control
know we're ready to dock Mr. Dejat."

"Aye sir." responded Dejat, all business like.

The Coronado had been through a rough patch recently and had lost her main
deflector array in the process. Starfleet decided now was as good a time
as any to replace the array and do a refit on the Crew Support modules in
the saucer. That would require certain sections of the saucer to be
completely removed and replaced. Jarod didn't really mind as it would
result in him receiving a XO's office on Deck 2, right outside the
turbolift shaft that led to the bridge.

"Let me know when we're docked. I'll be in the Ready Room." said Jarod as
he walked over to and entered the Captains Ready Room. On the desk he
found two PADD's. One contained a list of promotions and commendations
that the Captain had not had time to give out yet and wanted Jarod to do
it. He forwarded some info of to Major Ironside for his info. The second
PADD contained a list of which members of the crew would go on a weeks
shore leave first and which would go second. Jarod smiled as he read it
over. Eventually every member of the crew would get well deserved week off.

He continued to read until his reading was interrupted by his comm badge
going off. "Bentall here."

"Commander, It's Commander Tal here. I need to see you sir." came back the
voice of Ms. Tal.

"Can it wait Commander? I'm kind of busy at the moment."

"Sorry, but no Sir. I've received a private message from..... I'd rather
not say over an open comm line sir but I have something you need to see sir."

Jarod frowned. He had a suspicion who this message was from but he hoped it
wasn't who he was thinking. If it was, it would mean only one thing. "Come
on in then. Let's see what this is all about."
