Sim Title: "The House of Kharas", Part 1
After his dramatic rescue from Klingon ships at Coronado's hands, the
commander of the Bird of Prey, Ka'tek vestai-Kharas, revealed the reason he
had come under attack by rebel Klingon ships while racing to Starbase 247.
This former colleague of the Captain's has been selected to the Klingon High
Council! While this is a tremendous honor for Ka'tek, the rebels would
rather see Ka'tek dead than ascend to this position, and were attempting to
assassinate or delay him before he could reach Qo'noS to take his position.
Because a good portion of the remaining rebel forces are hiding in
Federation space, the Empire cannot legally deal with them without a direct
request from the Federation. As a result, the rebel Klingon ships have been
attempting to force Klingon politics from outside, docking at Ferengi
starbases for repair and killing or delaying new members of the High Council
from reaching Qo'noS. Ka'tek decided to use these tactics against them, and
came to Commander Lora for assistance.
The Coronado docked at one of the Ferengi bases, transporting several dozen
of Ka'tek's warriors aboard. While Ka'tek and his forces engaged the rebels
in battle aboard the station, Marines from the Coronado beamed aboard six
rebel Klingon Birds of Prey and captured them. Ka'tek was insistent that
all rebel Klingons be allowed to die in battle, which was done. In the
process of the fighting, one of the six ships was destroyed but the other
five were captured without incident and turned over to Ka'tek. Using these
ships as an escort, Coro will now escort Ka'tek to Qo'noS.
