Coronado Crew Update:
Unfortunately, Santiago (1st Lieutenant Terrance Dauber) has informed me
that despite his best efforts, he can't make the sim in the Monday night
timeslot due to a RL conflict. :/ This means that the position of
Squadron Leader for the "Thunderbirds" is now available. If anyone
wishes to switch to that position, please let me know.

Sim Title: "Agnus Dei", Part 2
Leaving Lt. Commander Tal at Starbase 324 to coordinate the gathering of
additional supplies and ships before her final evacuation run, Coronado
returned to the Zadar system for the fourth time. Evacuation of the refugee
camps on the surface of Zadar 4 continues, as well as restructuring and
expanding the camps already in place. Lt. Bentall also continues in his
efforts to build makeshift stasis chambers to further increase the number of
Zadarians that Coronado and the other ships involved can evacuate.
According to Lt. Trq, in seven days or less, the "bullets" inside Zadar 3
will meet, detonating deep inside the planet's core. Our estimate continues
to be that this will effectively shatter the planet from within, creating a
second asteroid belt in the system. Why anyone would do this to a
relatively harmless, benign species like the pre-warp Zadarians is still a
mystery. With a full day available to us while the colony ships conduct
their loading, Coro turned to investigate the one clue we have: the
replication machines orbiting the sixth planet.
Arriving there, we discovered that there were now some 20,000 machines in
orbit, each approximately 2 meters in length. We also discovered that the
machines are some type of portable replicators, and were using the gas in
the sixth planet's atmosphere as building materials for the construction of
the additional machines. After conducting detailed scans, Commander Lora
revealed Starfleet's new orders: the machines are regarded as a threat, and
were to be eliminated. After a furious battle lasting more than an hour,
this was done: the machines in the Zadar system have been destroyed.
