 When Dr. Lynn Dauber took over as Chief Medical Officer from Dr. Randall
 Browning, the first thing she did, naturally, was look over the officer and
 crew fitness reports files.  With a crew of more than 350 at any given time,
 this is not a small job on the U.S.S. Coronado, but is made easier by the
 fact that the CMO's responsibility is often geared toward the ship's officer
 core, especially the line officers.

 With that in mind, she had spent most of her time looking over the files
 for the various Bridge officers first, starting with the Captain and working
 down until reaching Jennifer Wildman, the assistant Science "officer,"
 actually an NCO.

 Easily the longest file: the Captain's, with extensive notes on Aldur's
 physical condition, past injuries, past illnesses, likes, dislikes, quirks,
 personality, fighting style (!)... it went on and on.  Dr. Browning, even
 more so than his successor, had apparently been a CMO of the old school, and
 had taken his responsibility as Captain's personal physician to heart.

 The shortest file: the new Executive Officer, Lan DuLac.  After the basic
 notes on physical condition and past injuries and illnesses (decidedly short
 in and of itself, except for past injuries) was one line of commentary:

 "Camelynians make the worst patients.  They are worse than starship Captains.
 They are worse than other doctors.  They are worse than other doctor's
 *children*.  They are to be avoided at all costs."

 At the time, Dr. Dauber had found that commentary simultaneously amusing and
 annoying.  Why had Dr. Browning not been more thorough?

 Lynn Dauber later had a chance to scoff at her own naïvete...
