 STARFLEET INTELLIGENCE UPDATE (STARDATE 52153.4)
 CODE 3 WARNING: WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION, CODE-NAME HAMMER

 ALL SYSTEMS AND STARSHIPS IN CAMELYN SECTOR, BE ADVISED U.S.S. CORONADO AND
 U.S.S. PALANTIR HAVE DISCOVERED EVIDENCE OF WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN
 USE BY DOMINION FORCES IN THE REGION.

 Starbase 194 was destroyed on or about Stardate 52138.2 by said weapon,
 while being monitored by aforementioned U.S.S. Coronado.  Intel Ops team
 from U.S.S. Palantir discovered evidence of weapon development on Betazed
 on or about Stardate 51943.6, but were unable to destroy prototypes.

 Prototypes later destroyed by unknown Special Ops team on or about Stardate
 52043.6.  However, additional weapons of this type apparently exist.

 Weapon is delivered by warp-capable torpedo, and uses an energy matrix
 similar to Federation research proposal known as "Genesis," circa Stardate
 7624.3.  It is unknown at this time whether the Genesis research material
 was compromised, or this weapon represents original development by Dominion
 forces.  However, destruction from this weapon to a planetary surface,
 starbase, starship, or other facility will be TOTAL if allowed to impact.

 THIS WEAPON, WHEN DELIVERED, WILL INCINERATE ALL LIFEFORMS AND BIOLOGICAL
 SIGNATURES ON THE TARGET.  IMPERITIVE THAT ALL ALLIED VESSELS ATTEMPT TO
 INTERCEPT AND DESTROY WEAPONS AFTER LAUNCH OR PREVENT LAUNCHES BY ANY MEANS
 NECESSARY.

 It is unknown at this time whether phaser fire, plasma fire, or torpedo
 detonation in the weapon's flight path will destroy the weapon.  Any
 information on this subject should be forwarded to Starfleet Intelligence
 as it is gathered.

 Note also that the Dominion has been using a biological/metagenic weapon of
 mass destruction in the Chin'toka and Calmorian sectors.  This weapon,
 code-name Quickening (aka Fallow aka Slash and Burn), will also produce the
 total destruction of all life on the target upon which it is used.  This
 new weapon (whose code name shall be Hammer in all future updates) however,
 acts much more quickly.

 ALL LIFE ON STARBASE 194 AND ITS HOST PLANET, ALDRIS 5, WAS DESTROYED IN A
 MANNER OF MINUTES BY THIS NEW WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION.  IMPERITIVE THAT
 ALL ALLIED SHIPS MOVE TO PREVENT FURTHER LAUNCHES OR SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY.
