 Clenching and unclenching his fists, Sergeant Alex Wong stalked the lower
 corridors of Coronado's secondary hull. It was a fight to keep from hitting
 the random members of the ship's crew that he encountered during his
 purposeful movement. Deck 24, Section 18.

 After taking one more look at Heather's baby in the Sickbay nursery, he had
 left the primary hull in a rage -- how could she have done this to him? HE
 certainly wasn't Katarian, so how was it possible that the baby was only
 half-human, the other half Katarian? How was it possible... except that the
 baby wasn't his.

 He had wandered the corridors, unseeing, for at least an hour before hitting
 upon the obvious answer. Hurrying to the Bridge, he had accessed the Mission
 Ops station, and from there, internal sensors. Despite the fact that Coro
 did not have a Katarian officer on her roster, there were Katarian life signs
 on board. Deck 24, Section 18.

 He had left the Bridge, a purposeful gleam in his eye...

 Content in the warm afterglow, Monique Lehman debated to herself how to
 describe this... latest adventure (she giggled)... in her personal logs. She
 had been attracted to the handsome, effusive Knight for months, and finally
 they were together. She sighed happily, and snuggled closer into his arms.

 DuLac stirred in his sleep but did not wake, and somewhere several decks
 above them, a young female Lieutenant wondered where she was going to sleep
 tonight. Situated in Ten Forward, she complained to anyone who would listen
 about who had hijacked her quarters. She continued very much in this vein,
 drinking synthale after synthale, until the brawl broke out. Hit by a shot
 glass travelling at over 50 kilometers per hour, her sleeping arrangments
 were made for her -- biobed 12 in Sickbay.

 Meanwhile, in the hijacked quarters, the two lovers drifted together in
 contented slumber...

 "You've wanted my bat'leth for months!" Ensign Rodriguez screamed. "And now,
 I come into my quarters, and it's gone! You finally couldn't stand it any
 more, could you? You stole it from my quarters and I want it back!"

 Ensign Jamieson couldn't have been more confused as this stranger broke into
 his quarters. "I don't know who you are," he sputtered, "or what you're
 talking about, but I don't have your -- ooof!" Jamieson's words were muffled
 by Rodriguez's first punch, and soon the two were brawling on the floor...

 ----------------

 "So, what's wrong with him?" Captain Aldur asked Dr. Browning.

 Browning frowned. "Well, Captain... I'm not sure. He is Damian Cash, at
 least according to his DNA. But his neurological scans are completely
 different from my last set, three months ago." The Doctor brought up both
 sets of scans for comparison, and indeed, Aldur could easily see the
 differences between them. "It's impossible that they would have changed
 that quickly," Browning continued.

 "What are you saying?"

 "Well, he is Damian Cash... and he's not. I can't explain it."

 ----------------

 Todd Marshall whimpered as the lights went out in his quarters. Somewhere,
 he could swear he heard movement. He stifled a scream. "Computer, one
 quarter illumination!" he cried.

 The lights came up, dim and soft. Marshall breathed a sigh of relief when
 he saw that the quarters were indeed empty. He tried to sleep, but was
 awakened no less than four times during the night by random noises, and
 one other time, by a horrible nightmare he couldn't remember...

 ----------------

 By the end of the first 24 hours after Coro passed the barrier, the ship had
 seen more than her share of chaos:

	* 18 fist-fights, 12 incurring injuries to one party or the other;
	* 3 fights involving weapons, all incurring injuries;
	* 1 knock-down, drag-out bar brawl in Ten Forward, involving 23 crew;
	* 14 infatuations or crushes coming to various forms of fruition;
	* 6 infatuations or crushes coming to an end in various less pleasant
	  ways, one involving an injury to the infatuated party;
	* 53 crew reporting to either the wrong department or wrong station;
	* 16 crew put down for deriliction of duty for failing to appear;
	* 4 crew members reported missing;
	* 12 crew members seemingly appearing out of nowhere, not appearing
	  on any Coro roster, 3 of these thrown into the Brig;
	* 63 complaints to the Quartermaster Officer regarding quarters
	  broken into, moved, reassigned, or unlisted;
	* 21 reports to Security involving incorrect computer access codes;
	* and finally, 2 reports of damage to the ship after crew members
	  incorrectly using their consoles overloaded ship's systems.

 By the end of that 24 hours, it was clear that at least one quarter of the
 ship's complement had been affected by... whatever it was that was affecting
 Commander Cash. But what had happened, and how would the crew determine who
 had been affected and who had not?
