[19:04] Stardate 240403.01: "Tuberider", Part 2, by Jester. [19:04] SUMMARY: Start by juggling some toy balls. Not too many to start. [19:04] With the assistance of the asteroid-starship Xanadu and a Wraith Liberator modified for this purpose, Coro has collapsed a spatial/temporal anomaly some 100 light-years "northeast" of Reorsan space, though not before the Xur arrived to try to prevent it. We eventually drove off the Xur fleet. [19:04] As appears to be her "custom" after collapsing an anomaly, Xanadu performed a Beckmann translation to the closest dwarf star in the area, possibly to recharge some system within the facility. Unfortunately, the closest dwarf star to the anomaly's former position is in a Pfhor-controlled system... [19:04] Fortunately, with the help of U.S.S. Vanguard and a diplomatic team from Reor'sa, we have negotiated a truce of sorts with the Pfhor and the race they are cooperating with in this system. In fact, it seems possible for us to negotiate some kind of long-term peace with them, unlikely as that may seem. [19:04] Briefing complete. [19:09] You have a tendency to and a strength towards... for want of a better term... blowing stuff up real good. [19:10] ::appears surprised at first, but then apologetic:: Admiral, I'll make sure it never happens again. [19:10] In fact, Coronado has the distinction of attempting to shoot at more races that we've attempted to gain diplomatic access to than any other Defender starship in service in M64. A distressing tendency, wouldn't you agree? [19:11] ::folds his arms and just grins:: [19:11] ::nods:: M64 isn't exactly home, that's for sure. At least not in any definition of the word that I know... [19:11] ::nods sadly:: I'm afraid I have to accept some of the blame. For continuing to put Coronado into these sorts of situations. [19:12] However, your ability to extract Coronado from these situations -- and other, more straightforward combat situations -- has not gone unnoticed, I assure you. [19:12] ::looks as if to say something but realizes it's not her place and the Captain will just have to fight this battle himself:: [19:13] As a result, Reorsan Fleet command has elected to give you command of one of their interceptor squadrons for use as Coronado's escort when these situations turn south, and... I can't say I blame them. [19:13] ::nods:: Well, I do have an awful lot of help in that matter, Sir... ::looks around at the crew in line:: [19:13] ::nods:: Indeed. You're gonna need a reinforced collar, though. For your new rank. [19:49] 7H> I'm not interested in most women. ::smiles:: [19:49] ::sips his coffee as he sits at the primary tactical station:: [19:49] X4> ::Savant conjured a hologram of the interior of Xanadu out of thin air, several points lighting up in blue:: There are several reduntant netowrks of ansibles planned for Xanadu. You ought to be very well connected. [19:49] SB>::walks over and clears his throat as he reaches the group:: Okay guys, I've got a job offer. [19:50] +Taps+ Roger that. Get me another man. I'll get the other two from Dillion's Flight [19:50] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:50] SB>Dex> Job offer sir? Are we mercs now? [19:50] E> ::actualy thinks about it a few:: I don't.. really knows. I,ll guess it's my feeling from being far from home surfacing again. ::smile.. or at least trying too:: It's been soo many years indeed. [19:50] 7H> Well, that's a coincidence. I'm not after most men. ::playful smirk:: [19:50] X4> ::nods and turns to Bentall:: We're tying this into the data relays for the Tuberider? [19:50] E> I understand what you feel, about being so far from home. [19:50] E> Have a seat. [19:51] X4> Not so new, but definitely improved. Granted, there was quite a bit of preparatory work involved. They've been working on this for three days already. [19:51] SB>::half smiles:: I need one more Spectre to accompany me with this. [19:51] *> ::pops all the access panels and hmms to himself:: [19:51] X4> ::suddenly blinks and turns back to Savant, just now realizing what he's seeing:: Captain... how are you doing that? [19:51] Q> ::finishes breakfast and recycles her dishes:: [19:51] 7H> ::chuckles lightly:: Well, that could be either a good thing or a bad thing for me now, couldn't it? [19:51] E> ::sit, though only after giving him a report padd for the last month, showing what improved and what didn't. [19:51] X4> So far as I knew, the holographic tables won't be ready for service until this afternoon. [19:51] X4> ::looks at Kor blankly, with the image of Xanadu floating between them:: doing what? [19:51] ::looks down at the marshmallow, half-dissolved already, and mentions to no one in particular:: Maybe I should've gone for the whipped cream. [19:52] X4> ::points at the hologram of Xanadu:: [19:52] X4> ::nods:: That's the plan Admiral. No telling how well it'll work though. I suppose once the Tuberider goes on it's test run we'll have a better understanding. [19:52] E> ::takes PADD and sets it down on the desk:: Anything I can help with? [19:52] SB> Alpha 3 is out of it because you're still down a RIO. [19:52] 7H> That depends. What would you define as a 'good thing'? [19:52] X4> Ah... well, ::She closed her hand and the hologram disappeared:: seeing as I myself am in holographic form here, then it's relatively simple to extend that hologram to other tasks. How it happens exactly? I wish I knew. Technically, I shouldn't be here. [19:52] SB>Teams 1 and 2, which of you would like to go? [19:53] X4> ::She grinned:: I try to avoid thinking about it too hard on local networks. [19:53] E> The same question as usualy. ::smile:: When will the red alert will ring up this time? ::grins:: Isin't what always happen in those times. [19:53] SB>::chuckles as all four of them raise their hands:: [19:53] X4> ::nods at Drexler, then Bentall:: Check with Tuberider, and find out what time they're planning on departing. ::pauses, smirking slightly:: I still haven't decided if I'd like to go with them. [19:53] X4> ::turns back to Savant, expression wandering back and forth between troubled and amused:: You don't know? [19:53] X4> ::nods:: Aye sir. ::contacts the Tuberider and checks on her status and estimated time for departure:: [19:54] 7H> ::looks thoughtful for a moment before answering:: Well, in this case I would define that as my being one of those few you might actually be interested in. [19:54] CIC> ::shuts off the holographic portion of the holotank and sets it to 2D mode, tossing a PADD or two onto it and starting to work on some reports:: [19:54] ::lets out a bit of a sigh, then turns to Canterbury:: Open a channel to the planet please Lieutenant... [19:54] SB> Okay then. Rock, paper, scissors. [19:54] I know it's the same old question but I like to make sure you know that I'm here for you. [19:54] SB> Two out of three. [19:54] X4> Not in the slightest. I don't have any processing nodes or sensing equipment in here, and yet i can exist and sense you all just fine. I think that i'm using systems resident within the Nexus itself. [19:54] X4> ::glances at the Admiral:: You should sir. Even if only to get away from here for a while. ::waits for a response from Tuberider:: [19:55] ::looks up from his mug, then sets it down next to him and opens a channel:: Channel open, Captain. [19:55] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:55] *> ::looks at the mess of wiring:: Alright lets see what we can do [19:55] 7H> ::appears to think about that for a moment:: So you're saying I'm too choosy in who I'm close with? [19:55] SB>::the two pilots step up, Team 1 wins the first round with rock over scissors, and makes it a clean sweep with another rock of scissors win:: [19:55] << E> >> [19:55] CIC> ::Savant put her feet up on the table and laced her hands together over her stomach:: Nice and quiet. [19:55] SB>::smiles:: Okay then, the decision is made. [19:55] X4> ::nods and heads inside the prefab to inspect:: [19:55] X4> ::nods slowly:: That's possible, I suppose. We don't know what kind of capabilities the Jjaro established in this area. I suppose there could be holographic projectors all over the valle-- ::stops saying "valley" just as he gets it out, then changes it to:: area. [19:56] E> ::nods:: I didn't mean any disrespect though. And yes I know that you're always here, you've been more then a friend to me, even more then a brother at wich I never had any before. But sometimes, the awnser can only be found from our inside up. To wich I'd need to give it some...meditation that would say a vulcan. [19:56] X4> Admiral, Tuberider is running through her final systems check. She'll be ready to depart in an hour. [19:56] SB>+taps+ Somansky to Prescot. Alpha Lead and Alpha One are go for this mission. [19:56] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:56] Q> ::puts her hair into place, checks it in the mirror and brushes her uniform free of the few errant breakfast crumbs:: [19:56] *> ::traces several wires to their places ob the consol:: Err shouldnt be to hard [19:56] CIC> ::refrains from the cliche as he begins shuffling units around, moving a couple of marine vessels closer to Xanadu's location, but keeping them far enough away that they won't attract any undue attention:: [19:56] 7H> ::shakes his head slowly:: No, what I'm saying is...would you consider having dinner with me to be a good thing? [19:56] X4> ::nods at Bentall:: Thank you, Captain. That gives me a few more minutes to decide, at least. Contact General Ironside and ask him if he's confirmed some kind of Marine presence aboard. [19:56] E> ::smiles:: I understand. Sorry for asking the same old question all the time. [19:57] X4> I'm sure he's already considered it, but better safe than sorry. [19:57] 7H> ::shy smile:: That depends. Are you cooking? [19:57] ::moves to the Command chair and begins communicating through the open channel, but not over audio channels:: [19:57] X4> Yes sir. +taps+ Ironside from Bentall [19:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:57] 7H> Of course! [19:57] X4> ::amused:: Wouldn't do to have the ship captured out there. ::waves in the direction of the Fourth Chamber:: [19:57] X4> I'm not sure... that would.... hm. How to put it? That would feel different. I feel very.. localized.. in here. Like I actually have a body and am looking through eyes. [19:57] E> It's not as if it was offending me. Though, we should give us a day on the holodeck once. [19:57] CIC> +com+ Ironside, go. [19:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:57] CIC> you're about to be called, General. [19:57] SB>::goes back into the locker with Dex and Team 1 to dawn their flight suits:: [19:57] X4> So it's different from being projected? [19:57] +taps+ Thank you Alpha LEad. I will transmit the good news to the General now... ::Transmits the list of four pilots to the General:: [19:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:57] ::don them too:: [19:57] 7H> ::grin:: You name the time and place and I'll be there. [19:58] CIC> ::receives the list and looks over it as he waits for Bentall to speak:: [19:58] X4> +com+ General, the Admiral would like to know if you've put together a Marine team for the Tuberider as yet? They will be departing in a hour. [19:58] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:58] E> Yes a little holodeck R&R would be good. [19:58] ::appears to wait a moment for a response:: [19:58] X4> Well, the hologram seems normal, but i just don't know where the drivers are. I'm using a relative projection grid, not an absolute one. But... there aren't any sensors in here. I can't understand how i can s- oh, there it goes. Cant' see anything. [19:58] ::rotates the chair back towards his mug, giving it his full attention again as he takes another sip:: [19:58] X4> ::raises his eyebrows:: [19:59] 7H> Wonderful. Tonight at 7 at my secret kitchen? [19:59] X4> ::comes back out of the prefab:: I think we should have them install a magrail out here, too. Something that will allow us to cover the distance faster without using shuttle resources. [19:59] X4> ::Savant paused and blinked once:: There we are. I tend to lose contact with the driving devices if i look for them. [19:59] CIC> +com+ Four Spectre pilots have volunteered to bring their craft along, and the Wraith commanders have been chosen. Colonel Prescot will be bringing a platoon onboard when the vessel is ready to accomodate them. [19:59] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:59] X4> ::nods at Drexler, then points at the Tuberider:: Perhaps something like that on a smaller scale? [19:59] 7H> ::nods:: I'll be there with bells on. ::grins as she gets up and takes her plates over to the replicator to recyle them:: [20:00] X4> We have the greatest track in the universe a mere 45 kilometers over our heads. Seems a shame not to put it to use. [20:00] X4> +com+ Acknowledged General, I'd recommend moving them over now or as soon as possible so that they don't hold up the departure time. Bentall out. [20:00] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:00] X4> Relatively simple, as well, I imagine. [20:00] X4> Admiral, General Ironside reports the Marines are ready. I've suggested to him that they transfer over to the Tuberider as soon as possible. [20:00] ::looks over at the Commodore:: Comodore? I am leading a platoon of Marines personally on the Tuberider. my XO should be in contact with you soon [20:00] 7H> Bells? I thought you'd be wearing more then that. ::winks to show he's teasing and puts up his tray as well:: [20:00] ::appears amused for a moment, then types a response:: [20:00] E> ::nods:: And since I do not thing anyone up you have time to ask.. how are you doing ? ::smile:: [20:01] CIC> +taps+ Prescot, from Ironside. Grab your gear, Tuberider is departing in one hour. Have the pilot volunteers prep their craft for departure. [20:01] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:01] SB>::comes back out of the locker room with his team in tow:: [20:01] ::looks around the bridge, then stands up, places the mug in the replicator, cycles it, then walks back to his post:: (m) Next time I come up with the bright idea of taking a double-shift, I'm gonna hit myself. [20:01] >BRB> [20:01] X4> Perhaps, sir, but that would limit us to one vehicle operating at a time. ::glances up:: Have we determined the best, safest speed for vehicles on the singularity? [20:01] X4> ::nods at Bentall:: Very well. ::looks from Bentall to Drexler to Savant:: What's your impression, gentlemen? I have to admit to being sorely tempted to go on the first recon. [20:01] 7H> ::chuckles, with her usual Maiko grin:: Until then. ::heads out for the TL:: [20:01] Fast departure... ::sends out the messages to all involved in the tuberider project to prepare for the intial test:: [20:01] X4> ::smiles:: To be honest sir, I'd like to go along as well. [20:01] X4> But a million kilometers down the Chamber will increase our transmission delay to 6 seconds, and I probably won't be able to run the group from there. [20:01] ::nods firmly and closes the channel:: Colonel Prescot...are you prepared to take Command of this vessel? [20:01] E> I've been better and I've been far worse! ::smiles:: [20:01] X4> I'd feel remiss if I didn't go on it. We'll be the first ones through there [20:02] 7H> ::watches her leave, wipes off the table, and then heads out the door himself, whistling happily:: [20:02] E> I see. [20:02] Captain you are going on the Tuberider? [20:03] TL> Sickbay. [20:03] X4> In the pre-warp space age on Trill, strategic delays of several minutes weren't uncommon, and things worked well enough. [20:03] SB>::the two Alpha teams hop into their respective spectres and begin the startup sequence:: [20:03] E> So tell me, have you found a replacement for Tlaloco? [20:03] E> In some ways I've been trying to live up to Oswald's position and in others I have been trying to make my own. [20:03] ::looks down as he takes a seat:: Whoa-ho. That wasn't there before. ::starts running tactical scans:: [20:03] Uh oh. [20:04] X4> ::looks back to the admiral:: I can stay behind and manage things, sir. I would rather you lead the trip, anyhow, just in case we require diplomacy. [20:04] *> ::has rewired the majority of the system and prepares to return to Engineering:: [20:04] ::steps into the TL after it arrives:: [20:04] SB>+taps+ Alpha flight detail to Batallion command. We're ready to depart. [20:04] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:04] =.\ction= Four markers appear in the various holographic tanks. [20:04] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:04] CIC> Ooo, contacts. [20:04] Pfhor rifts are opening up, Captain. [20:04] +taps+ Roger that Alpha Flight. Permission to depart granted [20:04] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:04] =.\ction= The arms of Xur carrier ships begin emerging through them. [20:04] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:04] *> ::walks along towards the turbolift, straightening his uniform on the way, then steps into the lift with Maiko:: Bridge? [20:04] CIC> ::looks up from the holotable:: [20:04] X4> ::nods:: I think between Captain Drexler and General Ironside the group will be in good hands. [20:04] Negative. I've requested permission to conduct a field survey of the Ahnto moon [20:04] TL> ::nods:: [20:04] E> ::nods:: I know how that feel... I tried it before my assignement to coronado... though it didn't go well at all. [20:04] CIC> Xur, damnit. [20:04] E> Not yet. I think those will be very tough shoes to fill. [20:04] X4> Admiral, there are four Xur gateways opening in-system [20:04] TL> ::smiles and commands the computer:: Bridge! [20:05] Rifts? ::drops his train of thought and looks to the holtank:: [20:05] E> ::nods in agreement:: [20:05] CIC> ::rises:: +com+ This is Flag to all vessels, yellow alert. [20:05] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:05] ::looks down:: Looks like Xur carriers... ::rubs his eyes for a second:: Definitely Xur. [20:05] X4> ::looks at Savant:: Great.... Could they have any better timing? [20:05] X4> ::frowns:: Carriers? ::turns and heads into the prefab building:: [20:05] M> ::enters sickbay, looking around at the empty main ward and calling up a graphic of all medical wards with patient status on the main systems display:: [20:05] SB>::departs the Coro, with his team and the Bravo detail as well:: [20:05] X4> ::follows the Admiral into the prefab:: [20:05] X4> ::Savant held up her hands and displayed a system map, including the rifts:: They could have come while the Pfhor were trying to slice us open. [20:05] ::nods in agreement:: Bring the ship to Yellow Alert please! [20:05] << yellow alert! >> [20:05] =.\ction= The automatic alert warning sounds as Coronado's alert status changes to yellow . [20:05] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:05] X4> ::Savant followed, closing her hands:: [20:05] =.\ction= Even before the carriers have completely emerged, they have begun launching fighters. Meanwhile, several Pfhor transports swing around to address the arrivals. [20:05] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:05] +Taps+ Alpha and Bravo flight launch immediatly and bring to CAP positioning around the Coronado at once we have incoming Jur carriers [20:05] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] E> ::notices the yellow:: Damn here we go. [20:06] X4> They're carriers, and are launching fighters. [20:06] * L2SL_Somansky is now known as [L2SL_Somansky] [20:06] TL> ::perks up upon hearing the alert:: Sounds like we'll be just in time for some fun. ::steps off onto the bridge when the TL stops:: [20:06] E> +Taps+ Farley to Gannsen [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] CIC> I'm tallying local fleet resources. Fortunately, there's a lot nearby. [20:06] Just may have to postpone the field trip...::gets to the Command Chair::... [20:06] E> I knew it would get in the way. ::stand and get into main engineering, toward his position..:: [20:06] *> Oh nuts ::hears a beep:: +taps+ Gannsen here [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] CIC> +com+ Flag to all vessels, magnum launch. Prepare to intercept Xur fighters. Vanguard, contact your Pfhor liasons and warn them of subversion. [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] <[L2SL_Somansky]> TB>Damn. +com+ Alpha 2 and 3, launch immedeately! [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:07] X4> ::leans against the inactive table:: Probably tracking Xanadu. Let's get the facility some cover, but don't push the panic button yet. [20:07] CIC> ::reactivates the holotable, the system snapping into view in 3D:: [20:07] E> +taps+ Have you got your repairs done or at least back together? [20:07] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:07] ::charges the shield generators as he slides the chair back along its guide and stands up at the station:: [20:07] ::slides in behind the helm:: Alright, what are the Pfhor doing now... ::looks at the holotank:: ...the Xur? [20:07] X4> Take the group to yellow alert and let's call in Blackrazor... just in case. [20:07] X4> Please, allow me. ::Savant's avatar went pale and translucent, but in exchange, a magnificent display of the system appeared, adjoining smaller displays of local space and the fleet allocation:: [20:07] <[L2SL_Somansky]> TB>::brings himself around into CAP formation with Alpha 1, awaiting the arrival of 2 and 3:: [20:07] Let's not get in the way too much, I'm sure the Pfhor are more than capable of defending this system on their own... [20:07] ::follows Maiko onto the bridge, cutting off his whistling as he takes his seat behind his console and begins to work, a smile on his face:: [20:08] X4> It appears that the General has already issued yellow alert orders Admiral. [20:08] CIC> ::orders a picket line of Furious and Wraith class vessels set up between the approaching carriers, with the majority of capital ships set up behind it while Blackrazor and a Defiant squadron move out to the flanks:: [20:08] CIC> Well, General? We're the only ones out here. [20:08] X4> I wonder why the Xur seem so intent on following Xanadu around so much. The more I think about it the more I think us exploring into the 4th Chamber more is a good idea. [20:08] CIC> Of the flag at least. [20:09] ::informs his ment to continue and depart for the tuberider, and instructs them to take his gear with them, turning his attention back to the incoming Xur fighters:: [20:09] X4> ::has an unreadable expression -- maybe resignation? -- on his face for a fraction of a second, but clears it quickly:: Very well, that's fast work. Send the General my compliments and let him know that he has authorization to react to any particulars. Without the full command facility operational here, he's going to have better reaction times than I. [20:09] +Com+ Daren to Interceptor Squadron, hold in Gamma Formation... [20:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:09] X4> Xanadu is the gateway to the nexus, and it seems to me that the parasites want in. [20:09] +taps+ Its mostly back together [20:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:09] CIC> ::nods:: Set up as secure a communication as you can with the Fourth chamber. [20:09] E> +taps+ I want it all back together. [20:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:09] X4> Captain Savant, for the next half-hour at least, you are not allowed to think about how you're doing that. ::indicates the display:: Captain Drexler, let's have Blackrazor swing in from the Xur side of the system and do a full scan. [20:09] X4> ::nods, looking at the information on his PADD as it comes in slowly from the Second Chamber:: [20:09] X4> Yes sir. +com+ Ironside from Bentall [20:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] E>+taps+ Why I just rewired it all the extra wiring we dont need [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] CIC> Already doing so, General. The Admiral has given you tactical discretion, as you have the quickest reaction time. [20:10] ::finishes alert diagnostics:: Starship helm and operations answering ready on yellow alert and standing by for orders. [20:10] CIC> +com+ Ironside. Go. ::continues adjusting formation as the larger Defender ships race back from the gas giant:: [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] M> +com+ Medical division standing by. [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] X4> ::Savant winced as the display flickered somewhat upon mention of the display, as she instinctively reached forward to secure her holographic drivers:: Sorry. Instinct. [20:10] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Yellow Alert . [20:10] E> +taps+ Just as long as we can use it if nessary. [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] X4> ::nods, and turns aside to talk with Blackrazor:: [20:10] E> ::his system indicate full readyness:: +taps+ Skylooker to Farley, offensive report ready. [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:10] =.\ction= For the moment, the Xur seem content to set up their defensive perimiter, as before. [20:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:11] ::runs his fingers nimbly over his console, almost like he's playing a fine instrument, as he shuffles messages and files and sends them on their way, that happy tune still playing somewhere in the back of his mind as he thinks about dinner tonight:: [20:11] X4> +com+ Sorry to bother you General, but apparently you've already been informed by Savant of my orders. Bentall out. [20:11] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:11] ::twists and stretches his neck as he looks over the spreading fighters:: [20:11] <[L2SL_Somansky]> SB>+coms+ Alpha lead to Batallion Command, CAP set up, both Alpha and Bravo in place. [20:11] X4> Let me be the conduit to the outside world for verbal orders. I'll be faster until the relays here are established. By the order of milliseconds, perhaps, but still. [20:11] <[L2SL_Somansky]> +com+ [20:11] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:11] CIC> +taps+ Prescot, from flag. Give me a probing pass with the Thunderbirds. Lets see how itching they are to fight. [20:11] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:11] Both Alpha and Bravo flight set up in CAP formation Commodore. ::taps away at the console:: They are setting up a perimeter sir. [20:11] X4> ::nods, relaying his order to Blackrazor through Savant instead:: [20:11] E> +taps+ Bridge, engineering yellow ready. [20:11] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:12] ::looks out at the Holotank:: They're taking up nearly the same stance as before... [20:12] X4> Xanadu will be able to move should it be required, but Alicia will most likely make that decision on her own. [20:12] +taps+ Probing pass aye. You'll have it in a few moments sir [20:12] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:12] X4> ::nods, letting his group settle in around him:: Captain Bentall, tactical analysis. I want to know what they're up to. [20:12] +taps Gannsen to Farley [20:12] CIC> Savant, standard hails. ::grunts:: Not that it will likely do much. [20:12] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:12] ::nods:: But I don't see any anomalies. [20:12] <[L2SL_Somansky]> TB>Dex> Let's finish off these fools this time sir. [20:12] Helm, take us into synchronous orbit with Xanadu... [20:13] +com+ Batallion Command to Thunderbird Lead. Somansky? You and your men are to make a probing pass at the Xur formation. Your weapons are locked until further ordered or you are engaged by enemy fighters is that clear? [20:13] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:13] CIC> Standard hails, aye, General. ::Savant opened the communication array and sent a broad stream of transmissions towards the Xur:: [20:13] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:13] X4> ::nods, clearly annoyed:: Next time make sure you tell me your going to do that before I make a fool of myself Captain. ::nods at LoraKor:: Aye Admiral. ::pulls up the best information available and begins running his analysis:: [20:13] ::flags a few priority messages and send them to the Captain, then starts reading over some routine reports:: ((Lobster? No...Steak?)) [20:13] E> +taps+ Farley here [20:13] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:13] <[L2SL_Somansky]> TB>+com+ Alpha Lead aye. [20:13] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:13] X4> My apologies, Captain. He's sitting right beside me, I thought it more expidient. [20:13] CIC> If Alicia has a method of masking her translations, it would be wise for her to do so next time she moves...
