[19:06] =Sim Briefing!= Please type "ack" after you've read it... [19:06] Stardate 240401.19: "Renegotiator", Part 2, by Aggie. [19:06] SUMMARY: There's only one way to escape this loop... [19:06] Coronado is currently some 100 light-years "northeast" of Reorsan space; among other things, we began investigating a spatial anomaly near one of the Pfhor controlled systems that matches the energy signature of a similar anomaly in J043 -- that anomaly was also associated with a time loop. [19:06] During the investigation, a small ship emerged from the anomaly. This ship appears to have used the anomaly to initiate another of the time loops somewhat common to M64. During the first loop of which we were aware, Coro pursued the ship to a system even further "northeast" of Reorsan space. [19:06] This is the Saris system, or at least the government of the system's one class M planet refers to itself as the Sarisian government. As far as we can tell, the system is the center of a raging civil war between the Sarisians and someone named General Thosis. How the small ship fits in, we don't yet know... [19:35] 7H> ::walks into the lounge a short time later and sits down at a table:: [19:35] 7> ::jogs over to the turbolift and enters TL:: Deck 9. [19:35] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:35] SB>::scoffs:: I'm sure you were. [19:35] CIC> ::rubs his eyes and then leans back:: [19:35] it seems that there's a small rebel faction, perhaps the previous government and its remains, or perhaps a rebel faction that was mostly crushed, in the system. [19:35] ::follows the senior crew into the conferance room:: [19:35] *> ::steps out and heads for his quarters, looking forward to getting into a new uniform asap:: [19:35] E> Ensign this is LC Skylooker. Sky this is ensign Gannsen. [19:36] ::quietly:: Kennedy to sickbay. Medical transport, now. [19:36] ::looks about a bit more and gasps:: My God... [19:36] ::nods:: Indeed. Captain. Right this way... ::heads out toward the corridor between the Bridge and CIC... [19:36] E> ::nods:: A pleasure Sir [19:36] 8> ::shifts impatiently as the turbolift halts and takes on passengers:: [19:36] ::glances at Stewart on her way into the WR, and after a bit, frowns, but keeps going, taking her usual spot halfway down the side of the table closest to the bridge's door:: [19:36] E> ::nods back:: Yeah. [19:36] ::takes a step towards Tal and Kennedy, an odd expression upon his face:: [19:36] ::looks at the "Captain" Stewart for a moment at his exclaimation:: [19:36] ::turns to Stewart:: Is there a problem? [19:36] Q> ::enters his code and steps inside, then quickly heads for the bathroom, removing his uniform on the way:: [19:36] E> ::looks around:: [19:37] ::stops just outside the conferance room and looks back at Stewart:: [19:37] * LCDR_Kennedy (breathless@C9-dhcp-22-48.resnet.ucsc.edu) Quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [19:37] E> Well ensign I'm going to give you my post on the power systems. [19:37] * LCDR_Kennedy (breathless@C9-dhcp-22-48.resnet.ucsc.edu) has joined #uss-coronado [19:37] * CoroLCARS sets mode: +v LCDR_Kennedy [19:37] ::blinks:: No, nothing wrong, Captain... yeah, the meeting. Let's go. [19:37] ::notices everyone leaving, then follows suit after a moment, realizing she should proabbly go along:: [19:37] E> Sorry.. I don't mean to be mean... but being trap in a dam time loop isin't my favorite stuff.. [19:37] 9> ::squeezes through the group of people from the turbolift and jogs out towards the bridge:: [19:37] CIC> ::reads over the information and nods:: And Captain Daren's visitor? What's he up to? [19:37] ::shakes his head slightly and proceeds into the room:: [19:37] ::enters the larger Conference room:: [19:37] E> No problem Sky. [19:38] CIC> Do you think one of us should peek in on the meeting between the Captain and Mr Stewart? [19:38] SB>Dex>::climbs back down the ladder:: [19:38] E>A timeloop [19:38] Q> ::steps into the sonic shower and cleans off quickly:: [19:38] CF> ::steps inside:: If you'll please have a seat...while the rest of my staff comes along... [19:38] E> You can get the help you need from either SKylooker, Tlaloco, who is not here at the moment or myself. [19:38] CIC> ::frowns:: No, I suppose not. ::exhales:: Looks like we're out of action for this one, then, gentlemen. [19:38] CF> Can I get you something from the replicator? [19:38] CF> ::takes a seat at the far end of the table:: [19:38] ::glances quickly at Stewart on her way towards the conference room, noting with surprise that his ears were slightly pointed:: [19:38] CIC> ::reclaims an ironic amused look:: I'd call in for assistance, but there's no telling if they'd arrive here in time, is there? [19:38] E> ::nods:: [19:39] CIC> ::Savant shrugged and sat back in her chair a bit more, frowning slightly as it gave a disconcerting creak:: [19:39] ::follows Daren and his people:: If you're here, Captain Daren. And if - if that was Commander Tal I saw in there, then can I trust that Admiral Kor and the General are present as well? [19:39] CIC> We could probably call in a little support if we liked. [19:39] CF> ::checks the helm status briefly through the table linkup in front of her to make sure the bumpercars program is still going:: [19:39] ::nods once:: They are. [19:39] E> Sky can you help the ensign get set up. [19:39] ::walks onto the bridge, looking around:: [19:39] CIC> Support for what, exactly? [19:39] Q> ::steps out and walks to the bedroom, pulls out a new uniform and starts dressing:: [19:39] CIC> ::looks up at the holographic tank and nods slowly:: Let's see if it's necessary... ::trails off, and indicates the energy field with his chin:: It's bigger again, isn't it? [19:39] CF> ::sits near the middle of the table, ship side:: [19:39] ::Stays silent as he moves into the room sitting down:: [19:40] ::looks to the replicator:: Get them, please. And water would be nice. [19:40] CIC> ::glances at the holotank, then back at the Admiral, then at Savant, wondering if he told him about the increasing size of the energy field:: [19:40] M> Doctor Harman, I need a neurocellular scan on the fetii. We may have to open her up, nurse Lo'aa, please prep OR1. Get me a full rack of seratonin reuptake inhibitors and ten ccs of miopreptamine. [19:40] E> ::nods:: Do he get the office with that post? ::grin..:: Just kidding.. ::walk away toward a console:: Ens, this way please. [19:40] CIC> ::looks over his shoulder at Ironside:: We're going to have to collapse that thing sooner or later, General. [19:40] CIC> ::she nodded:: yes, it's gotten bigger with every iteration. [19:40] CIC> Unless by some coincidence, that's what Captain Daren's visitor is going to talk to him about. [19:40] SB>::frowns, sliding the toolbag out from under the Spectre and laying down next to it:: [19:40] E> ::follows the Lieutenant Commander:: [19:41] ::blinks twice, noting no command staff anywhere in sight, and reflexively relieves the officer at tactical:: [19:41] CIC> ::purses his lips slightly:: Given that our visitor seems to be the one causing the iterations, and therefore the one increasing the size of the anomaly, I would hope he would plan on closing it once his mission is complete. [19:41] CF> ::rubs his chin as he looks about the room, flashing an erily familiar smile at Brooks:: [19:41] E> ::hears the consol in the office going off:: I've got to answer that. Sky work with the ensign. [19:41] CF> We're just missing my Chief of Engineering at the moment, who willbe along shortly...I think we can begin. [19:42] E> ::nods to farley:: This console is the one you will most likely be on. It gives you the entire access you need for the power system. [19:42] M> ::moves a higher-powered scanner into place and brings it online:: [19:42] E> ::gets the message for the meeting and heads out:: Sky you have engineering! ::gathers all his PADD's:: [19:42] Q> ::stands in front of the mirror, straightening his uniform and putting his commbadge in place:: [19:42] CIC> ::nods slowly:: Assuming he can... or even that he has any interest in it. [19:42] CIC> I'm confident that we can get this thing closed. [19:42] CF> ::runs his hand through his dark, wavy hair grinning nervously:: [19:42] E> ::enters TL:: conference room [19:42] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:42] SB> ::yawns and sets down the PADD, leaning back in the chair and going to sleep:: [19:42] E> ::nods yet again:: any questions? [19:42] ::steals a few glances at Stewart, confirming her earlier observation:: [19:43] CIC> Oh? What did you have in mind, Commander? The last one took a rather sizable warp core breach, as you'll recall. [19:43] M> These hormone levels are way too high. What do we have that can counteract these? [19:43] CF> ::quickly looks away, out the large windows, as Stewart looks her way; suddenly feeling as if that smile were very familiar:: [19:43] CF> ::finally takes his seat at the head of the large table, looking to his crew:: As most of you are aware, Captain Stewart here has asked us for our assistance with a small problem he's having. He's come here to make his plea in person.... ::turns to Stwart:: [19:43] E>::nods and taps the consol:: [19:43] CIC> I haven't anything in mind, I'm just confident. [19:43] ::takes a vial from one of the nurses:: Yeah, that'd do it. ::loads it up and injects Tal by the neck:: [19:43] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:43] ::experiments with the LCARS layout set up by Banks and smiles:: Phew, an understandable interface. Those Andorians don't know the first thing about making a UI. [19:43] 7H> ::downs a glass of tea and dropping the glass in the recycler, walks out and into a turbolift:: [19:43] *> ::enters the CF:: sorry I'm late new engineer to break in! ::takes a seat:: [19:43] TL> Sickbay [19:43] CIC> ::She grinned:: better than the alternative, really. [19:44] CF> ::nods and grins at Farley's entrance:: [19:44] CIC> Indeed... [19:44] M> ::reading the outputs on the scanner:: Okay, good. [19:44] Q> ::nods and turns, heading out of his quarters:: [19:44] ::rolls her eyes:: Captain, with all due respect, it seems to me we have plenty of small problems on our plate already. [19:44] CIC> ::simply stares ahead, at... or through the holotank:: [19:44] M> ::walks back into sickbay and picks up a PADD on her way over to a console:: [19:44] SB>::can't sleep, to stands up and walks over to the locker room:: [19:44] CF> ::nods, wringing his hands:: Yes, thank you Captain Daren. I'm from what on your calendar is about... oh... 76 years in the future. I've been sent back on a bit of an exploratory mission, but I can't really make any progress thanks to the Sarisians. [19:44] CIC> Well, you feel confident, I'd just as soon feel prepared. Let's get to work on a way to close the anomalies more or less at will. [19:45] CF> [19:45] E> As you can see here..::points on the console:: Those are probably some systems that you rarely not to say never saw on a starship... Yet, those are the False matter shield and weapons power line. Plus to that line is connected the Ansible device. A faster then light communication device.. can be quite handfull sometimes. [19:45] CF> ::blinks and wonders at any temporal violations:: [19:45] SB> ::sleeps peacefully in the chair with feet propped up on a crate:: [19:45] CIC> It's becoming increasingly obvious that these are reasonably common phenomenon through M64 space. [19:45] CIC> We need a plan to deal with them when they come up. [19:45] CF> ::narrows her brow:: Sent back by whom? [19:45] CF> ::quietly lets the man continue:: [19:45] M> Doctor Dyson, I need you over here now. [19:45] CIC> Perhaps Alicia could shed some light on the situation, given Xanadu's penchant for containing anomalies such as this. [19:45] M> ::turns and walks over, without saying a word:: [19:45] ::raises an eyebrow at the date:: [19:45] E> ::nods:: [19:45] *> ::heads for the lift, hoping the rest of the day will go better:: [19:45] CIC> Alicia isn't sure about this one. It's not in her order queue, apparently. [19:45] SB>::goes and takes a seat in the simulator that's set up in the small 'lounge' area of the lockeroom:: [19:46] E> Can I get that in simple terms now [19:46] M> Help Dr. Harman get hormone readings on the fetii. Make sure they're not above 4 milligrams. [19:46] CF> ::listens to that!:: [19:46] CIC> ::nods:: Still, the General's theory is sound. I seem to remember her telling us that Xanadu could contain an anomaly, but not collapse it, however. [19:46] E> Wich part? [19:46] CF> Look, I'm going to get into some trouble as it is telling you this much. But I need your trust. I won't reveal more than I have to in order to complete my mission. [19:46] CIC> ::frowns:: So why the others, and not this one? [19:46] M> ::picks up a tricorder and quietly walks over to Dr Harmon:: [19:46] CIC> ::nods:: Or is there a threshold size? [19:46] E> That long range thinga ma jig [19:47] M> ::glances at the wordless replies:: [19:47] CIC> From my observations, there seems to be a certain threshold, but that could also be based on the breed of anomaly [19:47] TL> ::steps inside and leans against the wall:: Bridge. [19:47] CIC> ::arches an eyebrow:: Breed? Have you been cataloguing different types of these, Savant? [19:47] M> ::takes tricorder readings, standing next to Harman, only glancing at Kennedy once or twice:: [19:47] CF> Anyway, I have to collect some cultural data on the Sarisians, but they don't seem to be taking kindly to being observed by outsiders at this time in their development. [19:47] CIC> Cataloguing is what I do best, General. [19:47] M> Well? [19:47] CF> Exactly what do you need us to do? Should we decide to accept your proposal for assistance? And right now, it looks pretty thin... [19:48] M> (vq) Well what? [19:48] Your ship does not have the capability to remain unseen from their sensors? [19:48] E> Basicly, you just need to know that that line of power cannot at all cost be down. The other line that need to stay up is that other one ::points it:: as it power normal shields, weapons and the Holodefences. [19:48] CIC> And? Where does this one fit in? [19:48] M> ::finishes with the other scanner and disengages it:: Are the hormone levels in the fetus over four milligrams? [19:48] CF> ::nods:: Yes, we noticed that before. [19:48] CF> Twice, in fact. [19:48] M> (q) No........ma'am [19:48] ::exits the lift and glances around the bridge:: ((Hmmm...are we having a party and I wasn't invited?)) [19:49] CIC> I'd call this one a series-two stable blackbody anomaly. [19:49] E> Got ya ::scratches head:: what do i do if they go down [19:49] M> Thank you. You're relieved. [19:49] M> ::sighs heavily and walks into the other room:: [19:49] Nurse Lo'aa, take Doctor Dyson's place. [19:49] SB>::props the helmet on, and sets the mission up:: [19:49] CIC> ::gives Savant a blank stare for a couple of moments, then looks at the Admiral:: [19:49] E> Though, the holodefences are currently unavailable since they kind of were nicely blew up and need to be rebuilt... well you do what you can to transfert power to those system to keep them up and it's a high priority repair to do. [19:49] M> ::hears the tricorder's alarm chime, moves to Harman's scanner:: What is it? [19:50] E> ::nods:: Got it [19:50] CF> It does - uh - Colonel? Prescot, right? ::frowns:: But the Sarisians are a people of great suspicions right now. I need to interact with their people, and they're - look, it's important that I speak with their people. Every time I try to handle the matter on my own, they think I'm some kind of spy. [19:50] CF> ::wrings his hands nervously:: [19:50] CIC> Series two, as it's got a rotational element. Stable, as it's rotation seems to be fairly constant and the anomaly itself seems to be of a predictable growth pattern. And a blackbody, as we can't scan the interior with any accuracy. [19:50] E> ::look at the ens..:: Ok, sorry for all the technical stuff.. you probably haven't had the chance to take a look at our current system schematics wich would really helps you out to understand what I'm saying. [19:50] ::glances at the different people on the bridge, all looking at him with mixed expressions and seemingly waiting for something:: Uh... carry on. [19:50] CF> ::shakes his head:: What makes you think they won't think us spies as well then Captain Stewart? [19:50] CF> Oh, and they're going to listen to US any more than they would listen to YOU? [19:50] M> Yeah, that's too high. ... Here comes the interesting part. Anyone here ever done an interuterine injection before? [19:50] SB> ::Begins to snore softly:: [19:51] M> ::glances at Kennedy and raises her hand:: (q) Does HAVING one count? [19:51] E> ::nods:: If its a picture diagram I think i can understand [19:51] ::nods once at the confirmation of his names and rank, wondering how hes fared recently:: [19:51] ::moves over to his console and logs in, then starts wading through the reports and messages waiting:: ((At least it's peaceful.)) ::smiles:: [19:51] CIC> ::sighs:: Is the classification of this anomaly useful for anything other than cataloguing? [19:51] CF> ::nods:: We've heard alot about this General Thosis, I believe his name was. He seems to be some kind of dissident to the main government on Saris? [19:51] CIC> Xanadu has seventy such series-two anomalies in its catalogue. they're below the threshold required for activation. [19:51] E> after all I have replaced bits and pieces of alien bodies at one time or another [19:51] CIC> If it's stable and has a predictable growth pattern, it's likely Xanadu wouldn't feel the need to interfere until a time it finds more appropriate - unlike the random anomalies that appear to be more dangerous. [19:51] SB>::starts up the simulation:: [19:51] CF> ::nods slowly:: Yes,... Well, the last time you approached them, you tore in there at slipstream. They suspected you of being a weapon of their religious fanatic rebels. We need to make a less - visible - approach. [19:51] CF> ::punches a few tabs and a holoimage on the Sarisian system appears:: [19:51] M> I have just as much a uterus as you do, Doctor. I'm asking if you've ever performed an injection to a fetus in one before. [19:51] CIC> ::nods slowly:: Were we to collapse this one, could a Wraith be modified to generate sufficient power to do the job? [19:52] CF> ::nods:: Apparently. [19:52] M> I wouldnt be a doctor if I hadnt performed one... [19:52] E> ::looks at the console... :: and anyway I did a mistake.. the holodefences are that line there, it's seperated from the system I said they were connected to.. Please apologize me.. ::shakes head:: [19:52] CF> And if two ships come in it wont look like a set of spies? [19:52] CF> Not to mention if we can remember the previous iterations, I can only assume they would too. [19:52] CIC> It's possible. I'd have to do some tests [19:52] CF> The Sarisians are very big on appearances, Colonel. [19:53] E> ::looks up:: Im already confused and now your telling me the holodefence line is a different line that what you told me it was before [19:53] M> You've been relieved, Doctor. So technically you aren't one. [19:53] M> Tell me something...why dont you want me in here? Im a doctor. I want to do my job [19:53] Mister Harman, prep the containment field. [19:53] CF> ::glances at D'Rall with a hint of scorn in his eyes:: Surely, Adm - Ms. D'Rall, you cannot think me so short sighted. [19:53] CF> I suppose that leads to an obvious question. Why do you need to talk to them so badly? [19:53] * Regan (Regan@ACC9394D.ipt.aol.com) has joined #uss-coronado [19:54] E> Yeah.. I'll get a padd to list the information in a less complicated picture ready for you as soon as I can get my head to follow up... [19:54] M> I want to do my job. ::looks at kennedy:: [19:54] M> Because you don't seem *able* to do your job without giving me too much stuff I don't need. [19:54] CIC> I imagine we coudl do it if we wanted to... we'd have to shut down all the suystems of.. oh, perhaps a Liberator class Wraith. It'd end in the destruction of the Wraith,c ertainly,b ut we could probably close it. [19:54] M> You wanna perform, that's fine with me. ::hands Dyson the modified hypospray:: Go to work, Doctor. [19:54] CIC> ::nods slowly:: General, any Liberators in the vicinity? [19:54] CF> They accused us of being a part of this religous fanaticism in the past "iteration." Do you have a way to make two ships appear non-threatening to them? [19:54] CF> It might look liek an invasion too. [19:54] CF> Funny, a comment on short-sightedness coming from a man from the future who seems to not have enough manpower or firepower to get his mission done without our help. ::leans back, smug look on her face:: [19:54] M> Im not... ::walks over, and looks her in the eyes:: I want to know why you have a problem with me. ::takes the hypospray:: [19:55] CF> Captain, I can see you're in a bit of a bind...and we do seem to be playing on the same team here. I'm inclinded to grant your proposal for assistance...but I can imagine you would have some valuable information that I would like. This anomaly that my crew and I have been observing for some time now...perhaps you can tell us more about it. [19:55] E> Ok ::taps the consol:: [19:55] CF> To be honest - ::smiles at Banks nervously:: - to be honest, I am a sort of spy. The Sarisians will destroy themselves in the next fifty years, and I'm trying to find a way to stop it. Either by negotiation or by locating the key data that will help us change things further down the Thread. [19:55] M> ::goes to work:: [19:55] M> ::takes a step back and watches:: [19:55] CIC> There should be a flight within the sector. If we can divert Swiftsure to pick them up we could have them here within the hour.. [19:55] E> Has the console was setup by Farley, you sure would like to ask him a few question about it when he gets back. ::smile:: [19:55] ::stares at the new Captain at the mention of the Thread:: [19:55] CF> ::nods:: So you are trying to change the future.... [19:55] CIC> ::smirks:: As to how willing they'll be to give up one of their ships, well... [19:56] CIC> Perhaps we should ask our Reorsan friend if he'd like to have his way home closed? [19:56] CIC> ::nods and turns to Drexler:: Commodore, set it up, please. And should I forget, let's make this a standing order for all future iterations. [19:56] E> ::nods:: that wouldnt be a bad idea [19:56] CF> ::stops in his tracks:: You are attempting to...repair this thread? [19:56] ::flags the high priority ones and organizes them for the Captain, then sends them to his console:: [19:56] CIC> ::glances at Savant:: This is just theory, remember? I'm curious to see if it's do-able. And it wouldn't hurt to have a half-dozen of these ships on stand-by. [19:57] CF> ::nods at Daren:: This... anomaly... as you put it... is the mechanism that allows me to keep trying again, no matter how often I fail. ::nods to Brooks:: I work for an organization that specializes in... "renegotiations", yes. [19:57] M> ::looks at the display and then back to the hypospray:: [19:57] CF> ::sits back and shakes his head, not sure if he likes it:: [19:57] CIC> ::turns back to Ironside:: Put replacements at the top of the queue at the Penthia Yards. In the meantime, I'd like at least two of theirs. [19:57] CIC> Standing order of what, sir? [19:57] E> Now, you can go on and take a look around engineering if you want, we aren't really doing important thing so people will be able to awnser questions. Well, I guess that's it. Welcome in Ens. ::come to smile but then fell dizzy for a few and return to his console so he could sit down a bit..:: [19:57] CIC> Oh, quite. It may be wise to develop a small automated drone for closing these things, as there are so many of them. [19:58] CIC> ::turns back to Drexler:: If we don't escape during this loop, see to it that Swiftsure delivers a pair of Wraith Liberators to our location on all future loops. [19:58] ::files the routine reports and then starts answering messages:: [19:58] CIC> ::nods and turns to the ansible:: [19:58] CIC> How long to modify them, Savant? Could we get Coronado's pilots and engineers involved? [19:58] E> ::looks at the Engineer:: Are you alright Sir [19:58] M> ::coughs and rolls over on the biobed:: [19:58] CIC> ::nods and turns to the communications panel, linking up by ansible to the Penthia Yards and requesting a comm with Jim Owens:: [19:59] M> ::looks at tal a moment and continues what shes doing:: [19:59] E> Bah don't worry ens. It just those time loops... ::return to reading nothing basicly..:: [19:59] CF> ::takes a large breath, leaning forward across the conference table:: Species die out, it's the natural order of things. I don't see anything import enough to warrant changing nearly 80 years of established future history. [19:59] CF> ::listens to the conversation:: [19:59] CF> Are you keenly aware of the effect the anomaly seems to have on the distortion fields in this area of space...and that these distortion fields negate our ansible and flase matter technology? [19:59] E> Aye sir ::walks around:: [19:59] CIC> To modify a Liberator? oh, not so long. It only involves shutting own all systems other than the drive system. [19:59] SB>::ends the simulator and steps out:: [19:59] CF> ::nods in agreement with Brooks:: [20:00] CF> ::looks to the strangers response of that:: [20:00] CF> How many times can you truely expect to fail and try again without causing a great deal of other problems? [20:00] CIC> When Captain Daren's meeting is complete, ask if we can borrow his people. ::turns:: General, same question for Prescot and his fliers. [20:00] CIC> We need to work out a flight protocol for this. [20:00] CF> ::frowns:: The anomaly and the Sarisians are linked. That much we know. We've - we've seen how the River flows if the Sarisians survive. It is for the good of all peoples in M64 that I am struggling. [20:00] E> ::walks around and examins the propulsion systems:: [20:00] CIC> ::nods to the Admiral as he speaks with Owens about the situation and the request to move two Liberators to the top of the build queue:: [20:00] M> ::grunts:: How... [20:00] ::smiles as he works away, enjoying himself:: [20:01] M> How long? [20:01] CIC> ::Savant nodded:: I'll see what I can do. [20:01] CF> IS that all you have or all that you can tell us? [20:01] SB>::smiles in approval as his rating stays the same, and at the top of the board:: [20:01] M> ::looks at kennedy a moment and back to Tal:: Not long [20:01] CF> ::frowns, not liking the sound of that given what happened the last time they got stuck in loops:: [20:01] CF> Just by talking to us about it though you could be altering the "river" as you put it into some unforseen problems. [20:01] M> Probably not long enough. ::gives Tal a mild sedative:: [20:02] M> ::smiles....but juuust barely, continuing doing the injection:: [20:02] CF> I wish I could tell you more, but I just - ::bites his lip:: - look, knowing something of the future is dangerous. But we've seen it all. We know the pitfalls, the possibilities. And I wish I could tell you more. But without full knowledge of what is to be, you cannot be told. Please. A little trust is all I'm asking for, [20:03] M> ::nods at Dyson's work:: That's good. Should be enough. [20:03] M> ::sags against the biobed:: [20:03] M> ::steps back and sets the hypospray aside:: [20:03] ::snorts:: Trust of a person we don't know? Captain, I recommend against assisting this man. [20:03] CIC> Mr. Drexler, you're awfully quiet. Cosmic thoughts? [20:03] E> ::plays with his new tools:: {{First thing Im gonna do is learn what these tools do}} [20:03] CF> How do we know you aren't changing it for the worse and not the better? [20:03] Hmm. ::runs a couple scans on the other ship, trying to get a look at its internals and technology:: [20:04] CIC> ::gets off the ansible and glances over at the admiral:: Sir? [20:04] E> ::stops at the nearest consol and looks at the power readings:: [20:04] CF> It's that, or I keep trying again and again until this anomaly fills the entire sector, and eventually the entire quadrant. Reor'sa. Boratis. Taer. They could all be wiped out. But I have to keep trying. THAT is how desperate this is. [20:04] CF> How did this happen in the past then? Did we help you? Or is this the first time this species is going to be saved [20:04] CF> ::nods at Bank:: Your opinion is noted. ::looks back to Stewart:: Tell me Captain, what's to happen after we have completed working with you and have saved the Sarisians from extinction...what happens to the anomaly and the distortion fields out here? [20:04] ::strokes his chin a moment and continues, shuffling files around almost like cards:: [20:05] CF> ::sits back and takes himself out of the conversation now that his opinion has been stated, just listens:: [20:05] M> ::turns and walks to a nearby console:: [20:05] CIC> You. Quiet. Share your thoughts, Commodore. [20:05] CF> ::frowns and licks his lips:: That's... an unknown. [20:05] CF> ::wonders why no one answered his question:: [20:05] CIC> I just finished communicating with the Swiftsure, sir. ::looks confused:: [20:06] CIC> ::has a slight argument with Owens regarding 'manipulation' without any proof to back up his claims, but manages to get the vehicles moved to the front of the queue before shutting down the communication:: Penthia reports two Liberators at the top of the queue, Admiral. Also that they have no knowledge of these iterations - it must be a local phenome....::pauses:: [20:06] CF> In theory, it'll all collapse as if it's never been. But our scientists have been worried about a bigger problem than a few stray Pfhor here and there. [20:06] CIC> ::suddenly wonders whether the fact the phenomenon is local only has anything to do with the Admiral's non-memory of events:: [20:06] CIC> Yes, it's entirely local. [20:06] E> ::hmms to himself:: [20:06] CIC> ::nods:: Before that. You haven't said a word about the situation. [20:06] CIC> ::Savant looks at Ironside, and then over at the Admiral, as if struck by the same thought:: [20:06] CIC> I don't have much to say, sir. I know very little about anomalies. [20:07] CF> Perhaps to them it wont be a big problem. But to us it could be a very dangerous problem.. [20:07] M> ::taps into the console a few times before picking up the PADD off of the edge:: [20:07] CF> ::extends a hand to his Chief Engineer:: Comander Farley brings up an interesting point. Over our time here in M64 we've learned of knowledge of a thread-war...Aeon and Aentropy...battling over control of threads on the spindle. How am I to know you are not acting against us here? [20:07] ::frowns disappointedly as none of the scans penetrate the outer hull:: [20:07] CIC> ::doesn't look like he quite believes it, but lets the comment pass:: [20:08] M> ::continues scanning the fetus:: Hormone levels are normalizing. Good. [20:08] CF> ::thinks to himself thank you sir:: [20:08] CIC> And even less about temporal mechanics. [20:08] CF> ::sighs and sits in a chair and rubs his face:: So, you know about all that, huh? [20:08] M> Good work, Doctor Dyson. [20:08] CF> ::nods in agreement:: You're asking us to trust that everything will go right if we look the other way and help you. Frankly, all the shi'z in the world isn't enough to make me want to take on THAT task. [20:08] E> ::memorizes normal readings and walks around some more:: [20:08] CIC> ::frowns, unable to put a solid theory behind the thought:: [20:08] M> (q) Thank you [20:08] CF> ::nods:: 'fraid so. [20:08] CIC> ::sighs:: My suggestion is to see if our friend from the future has anymore information. [20:08] ::looks over at a flashing light on his console and taps a button, answering the message, corresponds back and forth with them a while and then closes the channel:: [20:08] CF> ::nods slowly, pondering his next move:: Very well,... [20:08] CIC> ::nods and turns to Savant:: Meeting still going on in there? [20:08] SB> ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz [20:09] E> ::his mind get lost in some ... though.. that yet doesn't make any sens and that he probably wont even remember once over...:: [20:09] CF> Captain, I would like to speak with you alone. [20:09] CIC> ::She nodded:: Mister Stewart has a penchant for diatribe. [20:09] CF> ::raises en eyebrow:: [20:09] CF> I would advise against the Captain. [20:09] CF> As would I sir. [20:10] CF> Same here. [20:10] CF> ::holds up his hands:: You can have your first officer present, if need be. I'll trust her. [20:10] CF> Captain, she's in no condition to be out of sickbay at the moment. [20:10] CIC> I see. ::turns, drumming his fingers on the holotank:: Commander Savant, I need a holodeck. Clear one for me. [20:10] CF> ::holds his tounge at the idea of trusting the first officer:: I believe she is in sickbay. [20:10] CF> ::grins slyly at his crew:: We've all become a bit untrustworty towards mysterious visitors, as you can see. [20:10] CIC> ::slight pause:: cleared. Holodeck two. [20:11] CIC> ::arches an eyebrow at the Admiral:: [20:11] CF> ::glances at Banks:: Sickbay? She's in sickbay? [20:11] E> ::looks at his tools:: [20:11] SB>::exits the locker room and walks back over to his flight, who just happen to be all congregating:: [20:11] CIC> ::indicates the tank with the anomaly in it:: Then transfer this down there, along with your simulations for the Wraith modifications needed to date. [20:11] CF> ::nods:: All this looping is making her ill apparently. [20:11] CF> ::reaches into his black jacket and pulls out what appears to be a padd:: Dammit... [20:11] M> ::walks over to the replicator and sets the padd down:: Lemon tea. ::looks down as its replicated and picks it up, taking a sip and looking at the padd again:: [20:11] CIC> Would you like me to come with you there to give you the information I've got in better detail? [20:12] CF> ::thinks:: How exactly do you know her anyways? [20:12] CF> ::stands nevertheless:: I'm going to grant your request to speak with me alone...::looks to everyone:: Please clear the room. Captain Stewart, if you would, please stand on the port side of the room. ::moves to the starboard:: [20:12] CF> Captain I again strongly recommend against this [20:12] CF> ::rises:: Captain I'd like it on the record that I am against this. [20:12] CF> ::Stands up:: [20:12] CF> +taps+ Computer, erect a level three security field at the bisect of this room...port and starboard on my mark. [20:12] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:12] CF> ::nods absently, tapping on his padd as he moves away:: [20:12] E> ::sits at a consol and taps it opening a manual:: [20:13] CF> ::raises leaving a PADD on recording just incase:: [20:13] CIC> If you wish, certainly. And as soon as you can free a pilot and an engineer, send them down to join me. Mister Drexler, take charge here. In particular, inform me when the real Wraiths arrive, or if you can get some information about what our visitor has had to say. [20:13] CF> ::shakes his head angrily and stomps out into the main bridge, muttering under his breath:: Idiot.... [20:13] ::grunts and shakes his head, wondering if Daren has a death wish and exits the room before the Captain can respond:: [20:13] CF> Colonel Prescot...the ship is yours. [20:13] CF> ::shrugs:: Standing and moving quickly back towards the bridge. [20:13] CF> ::gets up:: Captain, just a word for a second ::holds up hands:: Something I noticed. [20:13] CIC> Aye, sir. [20:13] CIC> ::Savant stood up and pushed her chair in politely:: I've gotten the simulations set up in the holodeck. [20:13] ::walks over to Tactical and glaces at Canterbury:: What are you doing up here? [20:14] CF> ::exits the CF into the hallway and leans against the wall with another PADD:: [20:14] CF> +taps+ Computer, transfer all Captain level command codes to Colonel Jacob Prescot...authorization Daren-Seven-Four... [20:14] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:14] ::glances up at Banks:: Me, sir? [20:14] CF> Go ahead, D'rall... [20:14] =.\ction= Stewart's ship suddenly springs to life, turning away from Coronado and falling towards the anomaly on an entry course. [20:14] I don't see anyone else at Tactical do you? Of course you! [20:14] ::moves out into the bridge and sits down in the Captains Chair:: [20:15] SB>::takes a seat with his flight and joins in on the conversation:: [20:15] ::spies the strangers ship:: Tactical... Whats that thing doing [20:15] CIC> Thank you. I'll be in holodeck 2. ::turns and heads for the TL:: [20:15] ::locks down his console and steps out, walks slowly around the bridge, picking up a few empty cups he finds and taking them to the replicator to dispose of them:: [20:15] CIC> ::watches the captain turn and head into the turbolift, then looks back at the holotank and harrumphs:: [20:15] ::looks up and away from Canterbury:: It appears to be leaving us Colonel. [20:15] TL> Holodeck 2. [20:15] E> ::finaly gets out of those thoughts and back to reality.. though not yet able to work..:: [20:15] ::hears the announcement that he has command codes of the ship and raises an eyebrow:: [20:15] CF> ::quietly, hoping Stewart won't overhear, but knowing Tal's hearing...:: Captain, I'm not sure if it's occured to you, but there are only a few dozen Vulcans on Reor, and very few purebreds. Judging by our guest's ears, I'd guess he's from... recent addition to the breeding stock. ::gives him a tight smile then heads out:: [20:16] CIC> ::She nodded and replied smoothly:: I'll let engineering know you'd like someone there, and i'll get a pilot there as well. [20:16] Brooks, did you get any more information on the ship while you could? [20:16] =.\ction= The small craft hurtles towards the anomaly at greater and greater speeds, suddenly vanishing in a flash of light. Strangely enough, nothing seems to reset itself this time. [20:16] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:16] ::steps back:: You told me to come up here. [20:16] ::turns to Prescot on her way towards the science console:: The scans were running, let me see if it got anything... [20:16] CF> ::nods:: +Taps+ Computer, initiate security field... [20:16] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:16] ::leaves the conference room and heads back onto the bridge for her post:: [20:17] TL> ::leans against the back wall of the turbolift, rubbing his temples:: [20:17] CIC> ::Savant sighed and rested her hands on the edge of the holotank, looking down at the rim of it:: [20:17] ::nods at Brooks:: Good [20:17] E> +taps+ Engineering, this is the Flag. [20:17] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:17] M> ::sets the cup down on a small table, taps into the PADD before setting it down to finish her tea:: [20:17] CF> ::watches everyone leave, his eyes lingering on D'Rall the longest:: [20:17] ::smiles to people as they return and steps back to his console, unlocks it again and quietly sets to work once more:: [20:17] =.\ction= The level three security field splits the room in two... [20:17] E> ::kind of wakes up in a rush...:: ok.. +taps+ engineering here... [20:17] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:18] E> ::manages to identify several of the tools and their uses:: [20:18] CF> ::glances to Daren and the sparkling force field:: This works. [20:18] E> +taps+ Admiral Kor would like the assistance of an engineer in Holodeck Two. [20:18] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:18] CF> Alright Captain, you wanted to speak with me alone...here I am. I apologize for the seeming over-the-top precautions...but if you knew our history...well, you probably do kow our history... [20:18] ::looks back to Canterbury:: Right I did... Effective immediately you are re-instated to rank of Ensign. Commander Shar's last orders before he transfered over to Cerberus. Watch your tongue and manners in future and you won't be demoted again. Next time though it will be premanent. You can spend a few minutes restoring your belongings to your quarters and then head for the security officer and start going o [20:18] ::Scratches his chin thoughtfully:: [20:18] 12> ::straightens up as the doors open and steps out of the TL:: [20:19] E> ::gues that this mean him...but is not sure on what to do yet.:: +taps+ Let me inform the CEO and there will be someone down there soon. [20:19] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:19] CF> Anyway, I'm all ears...as are you, apparently... ::motioning to the mans pointed ears sticking out ever so slightly from his hair:: [20:19] E> +taps+ thank you. [20:19] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:19] E> +taps+ Skylooker to Farley...::waits:: [20:19] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:19] *> +taps+ Go ahead Sky. [20:19] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:20] +taps+ Lieutenant D'rall, this is Savant. The admiral would like a pilot in Holodeck Two. [20:20] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:20] CF> ::nods:: I know more about this ship than you probably could guess. ::Frowns:: But, Captain, I'm afraid that I have been lying to you and your crew thus far. [20:20] ::had pressed his palms against his hips in an effort to prevent them from clenching, but they drift out towards the sides as a stunned expression covers his face:: ...Shar said that? [20:20] ::settles back in at the helm, worried - screw the Prime Directive and all, yes, but events surrounding the last loop had been quite... memorable... and not in a good way:: [20:20] Savant are you busy at the moment? [20:20] CIC> ::The android sat again, silent and pensive:: [20:20] E> Computer Activate the EEO [20:20] ::blinks once, then twice:: [20:20] CF> oh...really? ::sits on the edge of the conference table, looking through the security field:: [20:20] E> +taps+ The admiral is in need of a engineers to help out in holodeck 2.. do you have anyone in mind for that ... mission? [20:20] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:20] +taps+ A pilot...? [20:20] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:20] ::frowns:: Do you need your hearing checked Ensign. That's what I said. ::pauses:: One more thing, if we loop again come see me and I'll re-enter the reinstatement. Anything else? [20:21] E> +Taps+ How is our new engineer doing? [20:21] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:21] * p1tc_Canterbury is now known as ENtc_Canterbury [20:21] +taps+ Not entirely, Mr Prescot. [20:21] ::shakes his head:: No sir. [20:21] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:21] H2> ::arrives at Holodeck 2:: Computer, begin simulation. [20:21] CF> ::grins mischeviously, again in a manner that manyon Coronado would find vaguely familiar:: [20:21] +taps+ Yes, Maiko. Are any of your staff availiable? [20:21] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] E> +taps+ I owuld say either you or him go. You have worked with him so far and know his ability's. [20:22] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] ::glances over at Maiko, wondering what that's all about, then shrugs and goes back to his console:: [20:22] E> ::give a quick look at the ens...:: +taps+ Well he's trying to figure out some of what his new job is about. ::smile:: and how you ever setup the console to fit your need. [20:22] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] *> [20:22] Hmm, Colonel...the field got bigger again, looks like the energy field by be adjusting itself slightly, as well [20:22] CIC> ::taps a finger against the holotable edge:: [20:22] H2> ::loads progarm and variables from Savant into Holodeck's computer core:: [20:22] CF> ::leans back, looking far more confident now than before:: Yes, Captain. I had to test you. Make sure you're really who you appear to be, who the books say you were. [20:22] +taps+ Could you please monitor Captain Daren and our guest in the Confrence Room. He locked himself in there with a force field up inplace with only him and our guest. I lost a Captain once in one of these acursed loops, Id prefer not to lose another. [20:22] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] ::remains standing where he is, fairly dumbfounded:: [20:22] ::gets up anyways, motioning G'laro to take over again:: What does the most experienced pilot on this ship need with another pilot? +taps+ I'll take care of it myself Savant. Ensign G'laro could use the active duty. ::heads for the turbolift:: [20:22] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] E> +taps+ I copy that. [20:22] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:22] ::nods:: Good. Get out of here. You can have a hour break but then I want you in the office. Dismissed Ensign. [20:22] Ohh, and the shp isn't heading into the past again...from it's trajectory and chroniton emitions, looks like it went towards the future [20:23] CF> Alright...I'm who I am. Now, who are you? [20:23] Savant, is the guest still aboard? [20:23] CIC> [20:23] ::looks back at Brooks:: Is it affecting Ansible and Falsematter Defenses at the moment? [20:23] H2> ::Savant had most of the settings already prepared, only a few tweaks were neccesary:: [20:23] =.\ction= The holodeck doors open, and Lora Kor steps inside, for the moment appearing to walk through empty space... [20:23] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:23] ::nods -- slowly -- then turns around, bumping into a console on the way off the bridge as he heads out:: [20:23] TL> ::enters TL:: Deck 12 [20:23] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:23] CIC> ::she glanced upwards towards Drexler, quiet for a moment longer before replying simply, "Yes, he is." [20:23] ::takes up his former position at Tac:: [20:23] M> ::continues to monitor the hormone uptake levels in his patient, who is still sleeping soundly:: [20:24] E> ::goes to the Ens.:: Well.. seems like your already going to find yourself at command down here. I have to leave to help out the Admiral. Report to Farley if there's anything. Copy that Ens? [20:24] +taps+ I'm one step ahead of you, Mr Prescot. [20:24] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:24] ::nods at Maiko as she passes and glances around the bridge:: [20:24] ::nods:: Negative, sir, we're outside the field right now. Ansible's and related technology are online. [20:24] CF> You have a woman in sickbay who is probably not feeling to terribly well right now. She's been connected to the temporal anomaly because of a rather... life altering experience she had a few months previous, if I'm guessing correctly. [20:24] +taps+ As always Commander, Thank you. Prescot Out [20:24] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:24] H2> ::approaches a Wraith hovering "in space", amused by the effect despite himself:: [20:24] *> ::exits the turbolift, and turning left, heads down the hall, pausing outside the doors to Holodeck 2:: [20:25] E> ::plays makes notes of all the stuff streaming by:: [20:25] 9> ::walks towards the turbolift, his expression completely blank. He stops momentarily, then leans against a wall and takes a deep breath:: [20:25] CF> Are you saying, my Executive Officer's subversion has something to do with the way she is reacting around this anomlay? [20:25] ::nods:: Track the anomolys movement and expansion. See if theres some kind of pattern to its expansion or what not. If we havent already discovered it. [20:25] CIC> ::She sat back in her chair and rested her chin in her hand, looking down at a blank spot of the holotank emitter:: [20:25] ::looks down:: Uh Colonel... I appear to have a message waiting. It looks like it came from the other ship just before it left. [20:25] SB>::as the the conversation breaks up, he walks back into the locker room:: [20:25] H2> Computer, cut-away. Three quarters sections along the emitter batteries, one half sections along the main hull. Additionally, include all elements of the dilithium sequencing chamber and antimatter storage facilities. [20:26] CIC> ...much less excitement in this iteration. [20:26] E> ::walk outside anyway toward a TL:: [20:26] ::frowns as a number begins counting down from 500:: It looks like some sort of countdown sir! [20:26] CF> ::nods:: We've seen lots of it, when I'm from. And I can't tell you the truth about that, either. [20:26] H2> ::glances at the holodeck controls outside, then walks in:: [20:26] 9> ::pulls out the PADD and looks down at it, a grin creeping onto his expression:: (q) I'll be damned. Looks like I'm definitely going to change the tone of my letter. ::spins on his feet and walks briskly towards the turbolift, suddenly full of energy:: [20:26] ::gets up from his chair:: put it through on the Holotank [20:27] ::looks over at Brooks:: (m) That doesn't sound good... [20:27] TL> ::enter in the TL:: Holodeck two. [20:27] CIC> ::She didn't turn to look at the general, but her eyes did:: Mm? [20:27] ::turns to Zach:: MM? Ohh, no, it doesn't. [20:27] ::throws the counting down number up on the main screen:: That's all it is Colonel. Just numbers counting down. I have a bad feeling about this. [20:27] H2> ::starts poking around the simulated interior of the Wraith, tweaking settings here and there:: [20:27] SB>::eyes himself in a mirror there in the locker room, notes the bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep:: [20:27] H2> ::halts mid-step, her mind taking in the apparent lack of floor and shivers, feeling as if she were about to step out of a shuttle hatch in orbit without a spacesuit on:: Admiral? [20:27] CF> What I can tell you is that I'm not the bad guy here. Your executive officer carries within her two children, a male and a female. They're also connected to the anomaly. If this thing is killing her - killing them - then I have less time than I thought. [20:27] CIC> ::shakes his head to dismiss Savant's interest and goes back to watching the anomaly:: [20:27] CF> ::nods, feeling a bit more connected to this man now:: You asked me alone here for a reason...what do you wish to add, if anything, to your plea for assistance? [20:27] H2> ::looks up as D'rall speaks:: Hello, Lieutenant. What can I do for-- wait. [20:27] SB> ::continues to sleep:: [20:28] H2> You're the pilot Captain Daren selected? [20:28] E> {{Hmm at least i know what a tricorder and a hypspanner do:: [20:28] ::looks at the holotank and frowns:: [20:28] TL> ::the TL halts..and he walk out toward the HD2>:: [20:28] What the hell... +Taps+ Prescot to Captain Daren [20:28] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:28] 9> ::enters TL:: Crew quarters, deck 8. [20:28] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:28] CF> ::brushes his hair back to really reveal his slightly pointed ears:: [20:28] CF> +taps+ Go ahead Colonel... [20:28] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:28] Shall I warn the CIC Colonel? [20:28] Helm plot us a course away from this anomoly maximum warp but only go on my mark [20:28] CF> I - ::glances up as Prescot calls:: [20:28] H2> ::shrugs:: The Captain's still talking to our guest. Savant asked me to send a pilot down, and Ensign G'laro hasn't had much on-deck experience. Now seems a good time to get it. [20:28] H2> ::enter in:: LtCmdr Skylooker, reporting as asked sir. [20:29] ::nods at Banks:: Yes inform them [20:29] SB>::grabs the stash of stimulants and gives himself one:: [20:29] ::nods:: +taps+ CIC from Lieutenant Banks [20:29] * Darkoven (~david@mail.blur.com) has joined #uss-coronado [20:29] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:29] * ObsKahlia (~never@218-101-96-80.dialup.clear.net.nz) has left #uss- coronado [20:29] Yessir, maximum warp... ::plots course:: Heading 012 mark 56, standing by on maximum warp on your command sir. [20:29] +taps+ Captain our visitors ship left us a few moments ago and sent us a message, one of counting down numbers only. I dont suppose he could tell us what exactly that means? [20:29] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:29] * Darkoven (~david@mail.blur.com) has left #uss-coronado [20:29] H2> ::nods at Skylooker:: 'morning, Commander. Hope you're ready for a little work. We need to increase output of a Wraith's engines by... oh, at least 25%, I'd say. You're elected to determine a means. Pull in whomever you like. [20:29] * ObsKahlia (~never@218-101-96-80.dialup.clear.net.nz) has joined #uss- coronado [20:30] H2> ::points at the simulation nearby, still "floating in space", then turns to D'rall and nods:: I'm sorry. I was just expecting her to send me a Marine pilot. [20:30] ::calculates the time interval as it counts down:: Each tick of that number appears to be about 20 seconds as well Colonel. [20:30] CIC> ::She turned her eyes back to the blankspot and replied in a somewhat subdued tone,:: Yes, a lot quieter. Not sure I entirely like it. [20:30] H2> What's your small craft experience? [20:30] CF> ::looks to Stewart and abruptly closes the channel to the bridge:: Tal and the children she is carrying are dying? [20:30] CIC> +taps+ Flag. Go ahead, Bridge. [20:30] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:30] How much longer till the timer runs out? [20:30] CIC> ::checks on the status of the inbound wraiths:: [20:30] H2> ok. Only by 25%. That should be easy. ::gins:: Well first I have a idea, though it have some requirements. [20:30] CF> You heard that...what's this ticking clock? [20:31] +taps+ Flag, just thought you should know that we have somesort of a countdown occuring here. It was sent to us by the other ship. Shall I route it into you General? [20:31] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:31] H2> ::nods at Skylooker:: Whatever you need. We'll be remote piloting the ship, so you can strip out weapons and life support, though leave shields in if you can. [20:31] CF> ::nods:: I need to get to Saris, Captain, because my family is dying. I need to make right what someone else made wrong. There was interference in the timeline, and now I'm trying to fix it. But something is working against my success, and each time I travel, that anomaly grows bigger. [20:31] 8> ::steps off the turbolift and runs full out towards his quarters, nearly running into the door as it doesn't open. He pauses, then presses the opening sequence and walks in, looking at his roommate sleeping on the bed:: Yo. Gonna be a bit of noise in here. [20:31] H2> ::shrugs:: I can always head back to the bridge if you really prefer a marine pilot sir. ::looking a little wounded:: [20:31] H2> We have no idea what kind of conditions will persist inside the anomaly. [20:31] +taps+ ::frowns:: Affirmative. We have no data as to what this countdown is indicating? [20:31] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:31] H2> ::turns back to D'rall:: Not what I asked, Lieutenant. [20:31] crtc Roommate> Q> ::grumbles and rolls over:: [20:31] CF> ::looks deeper at the man, pausing a moment:: [20:32] +taps+ Negative General aside from the fact that each tick of the number appears to be 20 seconds. The Captain has been informed we're standing by for his orders. [20:32] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:32] CF> ::for a moment, thinks he see's familiarity:: Captain...you have my pledge of assistance. [20:32] +taps+ ...very well. CIC out. [20:32] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:32] H2> ::thinks and find out that it wont really help:: Well, I though about the Ansible system.. but inside the anomaly.. that's a other thing. ::thinks:: [20:32] CF> ::nods:: Thank you. [20:32] CF> Now, I should warn you of something. [20:33] H2> ::takes the first tentative step into the holodeck, still feeling at odds 'walking' on nothing:: You probably couldn't ask for more small craft experience from anyone else onboard. Several years flying orbital shuttles on Reor. [20:33] Q> Yeah, well, you won't have to worry about me making noise any more. Last time I'll ever make noise. ::grins and grabs a duffel and begins stuffing his brass clock and personal effects into it:: [20:33] CF> +taps+ Computer, drop the Security field and unseal the doors... ::to Stewart:: Let's get started, tell me how I can help ::moves toward the corridor:: [20:33] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:33] ::looks up to Ironside:: General? [20:33] E> ::looks at the consol again:: [20:33] CIC> Yes Commodore? [20:33] CIC> What was that? [20:33] M> ::walks over to Kennedy and offers her a cup:: (q) Coffee? [20:34] M> ::glances quickly up from the scanner:: Hm? Oh, why thank you. [20:34] CIC> Apparently Mr. Stewart's vessel is transmitting a countdown to Coronado. ::indicates a ticking timer now hovering in the corner of one of the holotables, each click 20 seconds:: [20:34] H2> ::nods:: Fine, you're elected. Get over here and start working on a preliminary flight protocol for anomaly approach, and if needed, entry. [20:34] crtc Roommate> Q> ::groans and sits up:: What the hell? You finally gone off your gourd and got reassigned? [20:34] M> ::nods and returns to her seat by the console:: [20:34] CF> I placed a temporal countdown timer program in your ship's computer. When it hits zero, my ship will appear whereever Coronado is at. We need to be well into negotiations when that happens, because I'm going to have to send a report to my superiors. If I fail, this will be the 14th time, and I will be removed from this assignment, and we'll consider it a loss. [20:34] CIC> ::Savant nodded silently, thinking over what the timer could mean:: [20:35] CIC> ::stares, unsure how to interpret that:: [20:35] ::watches the numbers count down, wondering what they're for:: ((I'm sure that's not a cake baking, so what is it?)) [20:35] H2> ::nods at Skylooker:: We'll need the ansible. We'll be remote piloting it. That means a radio, and instantaneous communications for as long as possible. [20:35] Q> ::chuckles as he tosses his blanket into the duffel:: Better. ::points to the pip as he slings the duffel over his shoulder:: See you later, crewman. ::whistles as he walks out the door:: [20:35] M> ::looks up from the padd in her hand and glances at Kennedy, yawning:: [20:35] CF> ::follows Daren:: Our first step, I guess, should be to approach the Saris system. But we need to do it slowly. Say, Warp Factor 5 on the final quarter lightyear. [20:35] CF> Negotiations? for what? And how do you expect us to approach this system...last time we weren't exactly welcomed with open arms. [20:36] E> {{All power systems normal and all things look good}} [20:36] M> Doctor Dyson, have you been working more than eight hours a day again? [20:36] crtc Roommate> Q> ::waits until he leaves:: Good riddance. ::rolls over and buries his head under the pillow:: [20:36] H2> ::screws up her face:: Approach, no problem. Getting *into* that thing... well, I'll try... ::rather than step into the Wraith, heads over to the arch and calls up a replica of the Wraith's helm controls and gets to work:: [20:36] M> No ma'am. I just got here barely an hour ago [20:36] CF> ::grins:: Negotiations, Captain, with their radical religious fanatics. Didn't I mention that we'd be dealing with them? [20:36] M> ::nods:: Good. [20:36] SB> ::continues to sleep oblivious to what's going on:: [20:36] CF> ::nods:: Alright. This ship is equiped with a Holographic Defense System, but I'm afraid it's still quite burned out. [20:36] H2> Ok, in that case, we coulds use the Ansible, as we did with the Coro, though it just happened.. and give or take a few % into the computer system wide efficiency.. wich then we could point to the propulsion system.. [20:37] CIC> ::looks on with dark eyes:: I am going to reaffirm my suggestion to the admiral that we withdraw from this region and remotely monitor the Pfhor. [20:37] CIC> We shouldn't be here. [20:37] CF> ::smiles:: No we didn't get to that...I was too busy not trusting you. [20:37] 8> ::heads towards the junior officers' quarters, smiling and nodding to people as he passes by:: Afternoon. Good afternoon. Hi. [20:37] M> ::sips the tea in her cup and props her feet up:: (q) but still chasing after a 1 year old is just as hard [20:37] CF> No need, Captain. You are going to get to have a first contact with the Sarisians. They've never met an alien before. Hope you're better at this than your record suggests. [20:37] CIC> ::She sat back and shrugged:: It's just a timer to the next iteration. [20:38] CF> Still, desperate times, eh, Daren? ::grins:: [20:38] H2> ::calls up the known parameters - rotation speed, field geometry - and sets to work a program that will plot an steep angle insertion course in one of the clear zones:: [20:38] Colonel I'm detecting three ships. They appear to be military patrol, low warp armed with anti-matter missiles. They are on course at warp 4 around the Saris system. [20:38] CIC> ::glances at Savant, then at Drexler:: Without knowing what Mr. Stewart is requesting of us? [20:38] M> ::smiles:: I remember those days. [20:38] CIC> I don't want to be "iterated" again. [20:38] Are they moving towards us? Or just continuing standard patrol? [20:38] M> Im tempted to take a hypo myself... my back aches [20:38] CIC> Who is he to meddle in the past? If he is from the future. [20:38] CF> ::dips his head a bit:: Indeed. Let's inform my crew... [20:38] They'll be making their closest appraoch in about an hour Sir. They are about 5 light years out, unlikey to spot us though. [20:38] H2> ::nods:: I need all the power you can feed into those projectors. ::points at the large swept wings in front of the Wraith:: [20:38] H2> ::over her shoulder:: If you don't mind my asking Admiral, what's all this for anyways? [20:38] *> ::moves in the direction of the bridge:: [20:39] CIC> ::leans forward, slightly agitated:: [20:39] CIC> Ah, sorry. It's not until next iteration. It's until the Reorsan ship returns. [20:39] *> ::move to the bridge putting the PADD away:: [20:39] H2> ::turns to D'rall:: It's to close one of these anomalies, when and if we need to. Only a massive energy burst on the proper frequency has been able to do it. [20:39] Q> ::steps back into his quarters and takes a breath:: Ahhh... ::looks at the small quarters appreciatively:: Not much bigger than the shared quarters, but damn, it's good to be home. ::whistles and tosses his duffel onto the bare mattress:: [20:39] But I'll keep an eye on them just in case [20:39] H2> Well, other than using the warp cores of our few starships. I'd just as soon not have that as our only option. [20:40] H2> ::nods and call up for the console he will be needed to use to set all he can to give the 25% into the propulsion system:: Working on it.. ::will also have the need to find out how to work the Ansible to work near and even inside the anomaly..:: [20:40] M> ::opens her quick-case and pulls out the hypospray, loading it with a mild muscle relaxant:: This should help. [20:40] H2> The Liberator is our best platform for projecting large amounts of energy at close range, and is at least reasonably expendable. One way trip for the ships we send to do this. [20:40] CIC> +taps+ Bridge, from flag. Savant reports the timer is counting down until the return of the departed Reorsan vessel. [20:40] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:40] CF> We have about a week to do this. So take your time. Don't rush. But don't forget that we do have a deadline. [20:40] ::steps onto the bridge:: Colonel Prescot, if you don't mind...I'd very much like those Command Codes back ::smiles:: [20:40] H2> That's why we need a remote pilot protocol. [20:40] M> ::looks at her:: I would protest but thatd be futile.... [20:40] ::Looks up as Inronside's message is heard:: Well that's one less thing to worry about I hope. Unless their return ends up being bad. [20:41] CIC> ::Savant put her feet up and leaned back:: Given average relativistic adjustment, we have about a week. [20:41] E> ::wonders what else he sould do; decides to memorize the negineering schematics of the ship:: [20:41] ::glances at the empty XO seat and swallows:: Captain,... [20:41] M> ::nods:: [20:41] H2> ::frowns, about to say something but then decides not to, assuming the Admiral has been briefed to some extent or was monitoring the meeting in the conference room:: Right. [20:41] ::looks up:: Err, have you made a decision, Captain? [20:41] ::raises an eye brow at the Captain:: Aye sir. Computer. Transfer Command Codes to Captain Daren Authorization Prescot Alpha Seven Niner Omega [20:41] ::looks to Stewart:: Commander Tal is in Sickbay, Captain. [20:41] CIC> We should not be participants in this...temporal cat and mouse game. It isn't right. [20:41] M> Be like arguing with my mother. ::rolls her eyes mockingly:: [20:41] H2> You had something to add, Lieutenant? Something from the meeting, perhaps? [20:41] Right... you said that. [20:42] CIC> I guess you'll ahve to wait to tell the Admiral, he's a little occuied. [20:42] I'd like to see... ::glances up to Daren and recomposes himself:: Mind if I have a seat? [20:42] ::returns the mock gesture:: well. you know how hard that can be. [20:42] ::nods at Brooks:: We are going to aid Captain Stewart in his mission. The very fact that I am standing here unharmed should be every indication to you all that he is trustworthy. [20:42] ::plops down in Tal's seat without an answer:: [20:42] Its been a while...but yes. [20:42] Not at all...please. [20:43] HD2> Well, other than the fact our 'guest' is using that distortion somehow. But that said he has no idea what will happen to it after his "mission" is completed. [20:43] ::eyes Stewart for a moment, wondering about his lineaage might be before stepping away from the Captain's chair and moving back to his Console:: [20:43] H2> ::work on, to start, the power he can reroute to give some more power into the propulsion while trying not to compromise the systems...:: [20:43] CIC> +taps+ Lora Kor, from Drexler. [20:43] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:43] Captain, I'd also like to ask one other thing of you. [20:43] CIC> ::She paused and exhaled, sitting up to rest her elbows on the holotank again:: [20:43] Go ahead... [20:44] ::glances down at his console and taps a few buttons, acknowledging reports received:: [20:44] ::looks between Prescot, Daren, and Stewart curiously before shrugging, then turning back to her console:: (q) Aye,s ir. [20:44] Please, once we've started negotiations, don't interfere unless I ask you. This is what I'm trained to do. And as much as I respect you, sir, you are no diplomat. [20:44] ::withholds his opinion on Stewart's trustworthy nature:: [20:44] H2> ::nods:: Typical. Probably hasn't even thought that far ahead. +taps+ Go ahead, Commodore. [20:44] Q> ::walks over to the hamper and picks out some bedspread, then tosses it onto the bed:: Computer, some Celtic music. Cliffs of Moher. [20:44] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:44] CIC> +taps+ The Liberators' ETA is ten minutes, sir. [20:44] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:44] HD2> ::tries a test run of her autopilot insertion program, using live variables from the navigational sensors to test it from multiple approaches:: [20:44] CIC> ::crosses his arms again and remains standing relatively solidly at the edge of the holotank:: [20:44] Meanwhile, let's get going. We've sat around here for way too long already. [20:45] ::nods:: I will honor that agreement. ::pauses a moment:: I'll need to bring the Flag up to speed before we officially begin however... [20:45] Q> ::wrinkles his nose:: No lyrics. [20:45] H2> +taps+ Thank you, Mister Drexler. Any news of note come out of the meeting? Lieutenant D'rall has indicated to me that our visitor has no plans for the anomaly when his mission is complete. [20:45] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:45] ::heads out back for engineering:: [20:45] H2> +taps+ Does he think it will close on its own? Did anyone ask? [20:45] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:45] Colonel Prescot, the bridge is yours...again ::walks to the rear of the bridge:: [20:45] HD2> Actually, that's the confusing part. He says he's from seventy-something years in the future, yet he has no idea what happens to the anomoly? He didn't even know Daren was the Captain until the Captain introduced himself. [20:45] Right, Tebrun and Jeremy... yeah, let 'em know. They'll be fine with this. They always are. ::Glances at Prescot and flashes a devilish grin:: [20:45] H2> What kind of proof did he provide that he's actually from the future? [20:45] M> ::tugs on her uniform:: At least the uniform still fits... ::grimaces:: [20:46] E> ::nods to himself:: [20:46] HD2> Spooky enough that he could have been Commander Tal's son or grandson or something. ::adjusts the skew of the insertion angle on the YZ plane and tries the program again:: [20:46] M> They have looser fitting maternity models. why aren't you wearing one? [20:46] H2> Extraordinary claims, and all that. ::turns back to the simulated Wraith:: [20:46] CIC> +taps+ Unknown, admiral, but I believe we should withdraw from the area completely. I also object to consorting with people from the future who have decided to meddle in the timeline. [20:46] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:46] ::catches Stewarts grin and stares rather coldly at him for a moment:: Something I should know? [20:46] M> ::raises an eyebrow:: Im not far enough along yet [20:46] ::frowns at Prescott and shakes his head still not able to trust the man from the future:: [20:46] ::enters the CIC, looking around for the Admiral or Drexler:: [20:46] M> ::gasps and sits up on the biobed:: [20:46] *> ::enters TL:: engineering [20:46] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:47] ::looks over at the holotank again, noting the time left, and then shuffles some more files:: ((Hmmm...I wonder if one could find a way to play solitaire with these?)) [20:47] CIC> ::glances over as the Captain enters the facility:: [20:47] Q> ::tosses the bedsheet out over the mattress, scooping the duffel in one hand as the sheet comes to rest on its position seconds earlier:: [20:47] H2> +taps+ Commodore Drexler, you have a new mission: prove to me that the Captain's visitor is actually from the future. We may be being presented with some sort of ruse that we will accept. [20:47] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:47] H2> ::was able to give the propulsion system a nice 15.9%...:: (w)That's a start... [20:47] CIC> ::finds Savant hovering:: Commander, I trust you heard everything that went on in the Conference Room... [20:47] M> ::turns to Tal and moves over, looking at Kennedy:: Ma'am... [20:47] H2> ::shrugs, not caring if he can see it or not:: I don't trust him. Not after what Tal did the last time we got stuck in a loop. Who's to say this guy's not any different? [20:47] CIC> ::She kept quiet, for the most part, with her eyes still on the holotank:: that's correct, Captain. [20:47] H2> +taps+ If General Ironside is still up there, inform him that his job is to prove our visitor is not from the future. [20:47] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:47] You. You look just like - well - you. [20:48] M> ::looks at Tal:: You shouldn't be moving so much, Commander. That sedative's bound to make you pretty woozy. [20:48] Unh... [20:48] CIC> +taps+ ... I am not sure how to go about that, sir. ::pauses and looks at Daren:: But I shall try. ::sounds resigned:: Understood, admiral. [20:48] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:48] H2> ::smiles as the program now checks out fine:: Insertion code is good. So long as it's got valid navigation inputs and markers, it should work fine for getting the craft there. As for getting in... ::frowns:: it's hard to figure that out not knowing what the craft will encounter. [20:48] M> ::tugs at her uniform again, frowning:: [20:48] M> Lie back down, Commander. [20:48] ... And is there anyone else that I look like ::sincerly doubts this will work:: Did I at least die in honor from when you come from? [20:48] CIC> ::overhears the comm:: The visitor had specific knowledge of Commander Tal and the future of her....children, sir. [20:48] CIC> ::smirks bemusedly at Daren:: [20:49] H2> ::shrugs, almost unaware that Drexler cannot see it:: +taps+ I understand your concern, Commodore, but it appears that we're trapped in this loop until we either close the anomaly or do what this visitor says. Find me the best option. [20:49] CIC> And you can confirm the truth of what he's saying how, Captain? [20:49] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:49] I can't tell you that, sir. But I can tell you that even Romulans think of you very highly. [20:49] CIC> He claims that Tal's previous subversions have tied her directly to this anomaly and is the reason she is currently doubled over in Sickbay. The anomlay is killing her and her twins... [20:49] H2> +taps+ In the meantime, I'll be working option one down here. Lora Kor out. [20:49] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:49] ::starts scanning:: Strange. I'm showing re-heightened hormone levels. Only, different hormones ... [20:49] ::smirks:: That certainly is a change for the norm ::looks around for the Captain:: [20:50] CIC> ::nods:: And how does the knowledge of the current situation and Tal's connection to the anomaly link to the future? [20:50] CIC> I admit it's a feeling, but if we forward this information on to Sickbay, perhaps Doctor Kennedy can find the link he spoke of. [20:50] M> Whats that? ::raises an eyebrow:: [20:50] CIC> ::Savant rested her chin on her hand and her elbow on the table, waiting:: [20:50] TL> ::enters engineering heading for his office:: [20:50] H2> ::puts aside the approach code and begins working on the insertion:: +taps+ D'rall to Savant... [20:50] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:50] H2> ::turns to D'rall:: Would another mapping run help? [20:50] H2> ::works on the Ansible to get the last 9.1% missing...:: (w)hum... [20:50] CIC> ::nods as the admiral closes the comm and he continues watching Daren:: Captain. [20:50] H2> ::shakes head:: The last time we tried to map this thing it reacted rather badly... [20:50] Q> ::reaches into the duffel and pulls out his blanket, tossing it over the mattress:: There, much better. No more folding up to fit on a bunk. ::plucks his pillow out of the duffel and chucks it haphazardly at the head of the bed:: [20:50] M> ::shows the results of the scan:: These hormone levels, they shouldn't be caused by the drug. They look almost like ... [20:51] M> ::looks at the results, eyes widening:: [20:51] M> Is OR1 still prepped? [20:51] CIC> If Doctor Kennedy can locate the link, Captain, how would Mr. Stewart's knowledge of it prove him to be from the future? [20:51] CIC> The man is also of aparrent Romulan lineage. He is certainly no Vulcan I've ever seen. I suspect him to be one of Tal's future family...a grandson or great-grandson, perhaps [20:51] ::looks about the bridge:: I know why this looks so big. I'm used to the museum depictions of the classing 97901 bridge. Before the Pfhor.... wow... [20:51] ::keeps one eye on Stewart and another on his console, giving himself a headache in the process:: [20:51] CIC> If that be the case, a simple DNA scan can prove that. [20:51] M> hover-stretcher, now! [20:51] CIC> ::glances at Savant:: If you would do the honours? [20:52] ::rubs his chin and glances at his chrono:: ((If we keep this up this day may never end.)) [20:52] M> Um....Um... ::babbling, running over and geting the hover stretcher:: [20:52] CIC> Already on it, General. [20:52] E> ::keeps nodding and reading:: [20:52] CIC> I doubt the man will submit to such a scan...he claims that he's already told us too much. [20:52] E> ::sits in his office going over some items:: [20:52] ::nods:: I would not know. I never saw the original bridge too much. [20:52] CIC> ::nods slowly:: He will be required to submit to a scan. [20:52] CIC> Internal sensors are more than sufficient to read his DNA, Captain.... [20:53] ::moves Tal, with help, onto the stretcher and starts down the corridor to OR1:: [20:53] CIC> Seems to match. He's a Tal, all right. Funny. Hasn't the same disposition. [20:53] CIC> Then what are we waiting for? [20:53] H2> We mapped it with Spectres without ill effect. I don't know what you were trying to do, dropping probes into it. [20:53] CIC> Confirmation. [20:53] M> ::follows behind:: [20:53] CIC> ::hears Savant:: [20:53] * L2SL_Somansky (Somansky@66-215-155-9.riv-mres.charterpipeline.net) Quit (Ping timeout) [20:53] +taps+ yes, Maiko? [20:53] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:53] H2> ::thinks:: Admiral, I think I found out a way to do that commlink to be active for much longer that it normaly would and to give the last 9.1% the propulsion systems need.. even may be a few more %. [20:54] H2> ::nods at Skylooker:: What did you have in mind? [20:54] CIC> ::pauses:: Savant, compare his DNA to the DNA of Commander Tal's twins, if you would. [20:54] Q> ::drops the duffel at the end of his bed and looks at the bare walls and furnishings:: [20:54] H2> +taps+ Does Alicia have any information on the interior of disturbances like the one outside presently? I'm looking mostly for anything that will help handle navigation inside. [20:54] CIC> ::sighs:: The fact that he says he's from the future does not readily make this situation more appropriate to pursue, captain. In fact, I believe it makes it much more important that we avoid it entirely. [20:54] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:54] H2> ::turns to glance at the anomaly and the associated energy field, then tweaks the shield parameters a bit:: Unlikely to hit any physical objects in there. [20:54] CIC> +taps+ Lora Kor, from Drexler. [20:54] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:54] H2> It's kind of ... masking the Ansible to the ship system as being the main comm link of the ship and not a primary communition device tapping into the comm relays. [20:55] H2> +taps+ Lora Kor. ::reaches into the simulation and tweaks a setting:: Go. [20:55] ::looks over at Daren and then back to his console as another message comes through and he relays it:: [20:55] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:55] M> ::moves Tal onto the Operating Room Biobed and starts up the scanning suite:: [20:55] +taps+ this is a blackbody, Lieutenant. By definition, the interior is unscannable. [20:55] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:55] CIC> The man claims that the Sarisians are very important to the continued viability of the thread. With or without our assistance he will continue to loop it until he has completed his task. [20:55] CIC> That anomaly out there is what allows him to do this. [20:55] CIC> ::She nodded at the General:: One of those two children will be the parent of Mr Stewat. [20:55] Q> ::shrugs:: In time. ::walks out and +taps+ as he walks down the corridor:: Canterbury to Banks. [20:55] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:55] +taps+ Sure, but I was hoping maybe - just maybe - she had access to some data from someone who entered it and managed to come out alive. [20:55] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:55] M> ::grimaces as she watches:: (q) makes me wonder about the safety of my own doc [20:56] CIC> +taps+ Your wraiths are arriving. Also, a passive DNA scan has confirmed that the guest is directly related to Commander Tal, and is most likely a second or third generation descendant. [20:56] +taps+ Banks, Go. [20:56] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:56] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:56] 8> +taps+ Heading to the security office now. The rest of my decorating can wait. [20:56] M> You're fine. I've been checking your fetus's hormone levels. [20:56] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:56] CIC> ::nods at the Confirmation:: I know a Tal when I look one in the eye... [20:56] CIC> ::She smirked:: so do I. [20:57] M> ::looks at her and nods:: I dont think Olme would be happy if anything happened to mine. [20:57] +taps+ Understood Ensign, but I can do without the minute by minute play by play of your day just get on with it. [20:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:57] CIC> ::frowns slightly:: Has Mr. Stewart made any mention of who he represents? He could be conducting a renegade operation to further his own gains. [20:57] ::leans back in Tal's chair in a cocksure manner:: Can we get on with this? [20:57] H2> +taps+ Thank you, Mister Drexler. Have the Wraiths dock externally, then have their pilots report aboard. Pick me the better of the two, then give that information to Commander Skylooker and Lieutenant D'rall. [20:57] ::continues to idly scan the anomaly, going over the logs of how Stewart's ship was able to pass through it:: [20:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:57] M> I'll need prevamine, and benzoate-iodine solution. [20:57] H2> +taps+ They have some serious work to do. [20:57] 8> ::slants his mouth slightly:: +taps+ Aye. Out. [20:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:57] M> ::nods and picks up the appropriate vials, slipping them into hyposprays:: [20:58] +taps+ Prescot to Captain Daren. Our guest seems to be anxious to leave [20:58] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:58] H2> ::turns to D'rall and Skylooker:: Once the one Commodore Drexler chooses is modified, I'd like the other modified as well. [20:58] CIC> +taps+ Understood, admiral. [20:58] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:58] M> ::takes the prevamine, injecting Tal with it and watching the results on the big wall monitor:: [20:58] CIC> No, he hasn't General. But he will continue doing this over and over, each time making that anomlay larger and those distortions larger until he succeeds...I'd like to not see that happen. [20:58] H2> ::while waiting for any data if any exists, starts on a rough program, having to resort to dead reckoning assuming that if the interior can't be scanned, then sensors won't work inside at all:: [20:58] M> ::looks up at the monitor, hand quietly slipping across her own abdomen:: [20:58] H2> ::nods... still waiting about the admiral input on his thoughts:: [20:59] CIC> Then perhaps we should consider stopping him rather than assisting him? ::arches an eyebrow:: [20:59] CIC> +taps+ Drexler out. ::off-comm, levelling his gaze at Daren and Ironside:: This is wrong. [20:59] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:59] ::moves his hands over his console, like he's playing an instrument, and quickly moves more files around:: ((Maybe I should color code these? Make it a bit easier to figure out where they belong.)) [20:59] * Scotty (~scotty@w229.wp.isp.ca) has left #uss-coronado [20:59] CIC> He will not do this over again if he is kept from his equipment. ... well, theoretically. [20:59] CIC> As you've made note of, Commodore. However, as the Admiral has made note of, we must see it through or be stuck in these iterations until Mr. Stewart is either stopped or his mission is complete. [20:59] M> Theoretically that should end her labor for now. ... Theoretically. [20:59] H2> ::nods at Skylooker:: Should work. Test it out. ::indicates the simulation:: [20:59] CIC> His ship will return when that clock reaches zero, next to this ship. He has asked that we make first contact with the Sarisians and then stand back while he conducts his negotiations. [20:59] ::notices that the ship actually emits a multi-layered shield just before it passes through:: [20:59] CIC> ::Savant remained silent, content to simply serve as asked and let the others contribute their creative input for the time being:: [21:00] H2> ::nods and start working on it:: [21:00] ::calls up the standard navigation suite and opens the routine that handles the dead reckoning system, having had to work on minor alterations to this before to adjust for the slower engines on some of Reor's dated shuttles:: [21:00] E> ::hmms:: [21:00] M> ::nods:: Aye..
