[19:05] Stardate 240311.03: "Effect and Cause", Part 1, by Jester. [19:05] SUMMARY: Jjaro: embodiment of good, protectors, defenders. Jart: embodiment of evil, corruptors, betrayers. [19:05] Coronado had reached the Frant homeworld, based on the infomration downloaded from the Great Library of Alexandria by Lieutenant Brooks. Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Lora Kor and a small group within Xanadu were in the midst of Tebrun's zhian'tara, a Trill ritual involving the symbiont's former hosts. [19:05] However, both missions were interrupted by disturbances within Xanadu. An oscillation appeared in the twin singularities on which the asteroid-starship is "strung." We've seen these sort of oscillations before: they are a result of using the "Catapult," a system inside the Jjaro artifact. [19:05] Using the Catapult apparently links Xanadu with an alternate universe or timeline. When we've encountered this before, several Coronado crew members found themselves in an alternate timeline similar to our own, but with just enough differences that existing there was a bit odd... Temporal Prime Directive of 2376 prohibits any Starfleet officer from interferring in past events. [19:34] A casual scan of our equipment ::indicates the tricorders about and their communicators:: should give you cause to believe us, however I ask you delete the readings as soon as you are....::frowns as Tal mentions a year:: [19:34] Clearly... ::looks the three over:: [19:34] ::Davies reaches into a pocket and extracts a small vial, scooping out a sample of algae from one of the sludge ponds. She muttrs to herself:: I can see some potential in this... [19:34] Captain I don't think he ::points at the blonde man:: appreciates any talk of his Captain dying sir. Can't say I blame him all that much. [19:34] ::winces to herself at her slip:: [19:34] I doubt we can start quoting rules from a rulebook written after these people clearly believe to be the present. [19:34] Storsa> ::turns to look at Tal:: Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. So far, all I see are a bunch of people in ridiculous costumes 70 light-years behind Klingon lines. [19:34] ::turns to D'rall:: I never had the chance to attend an exhibit there... [19:35] Storsa> It's a lot more likely that you're smugglers than from the future. [19:35] ::Savant takes a step back, flickering. She looks over at Sieven:: [19:35] Markov> ::nods at this conclusion:: [19:35] 2275... through 2300, I believe. ::watches Savant, speaking to Tebrun who is next to him:: [19:35] If we are smugglers, Captain, where is our contraband? [19:35] ::to Daren, sotto voce:: Almost exactly the same worn by my ancestors. [19:35] ::paqui continues to play in the simple computer above the planet:: [19:35] Or our ship for that matter.. Or are we such good smugglers that we need no ship to haul our goods [19:35] ::moves up to the line where they are talking:: [19:36] ::stares at Storsa, then spreads her arms, indicating that area around them:: Smuggling what, exactly? [19:36] ::adjusts her meditation robes:: Scan our chronometric signatures. [19:36] ::Savant returns her eyes to Davies, who thus far has been entirely clueless of the attention:: [19:36] ::wonder what's going on as he'S too far to hear anything:: [19:36] ::quietly, to Tal:: Commander, I highly doubt their equipment is designed to scan chronometric signatures. [19:36] Except mine. It'd just confuse you. [19:36] ::thinks:: Captain, by the looks of their uniforms they wouldn't be all that friendly with the Klingons. What are they doing 70 light years inside klingon space? [19:36] Markov> ::looks at Brooks and sniffs:: Artifacts that you've looted from Qo'nos, obviously. Or is it just a coincidence that you're less than 4 light-years from Qo'nos? ::sneers:: Now where is your ship? [19:36] ::tries to keep from thwapping Tlaloco:: [19:37] ::thinks back to everything she remembered learning of Starfleet history while growing up, the stories her grandparents told her:: [19:37] ::Davies scanned the vial with her boxy tricorder, frowning and hitting the device with the side of her hand:: damn thing... [19:37] ::follows Farley and stands slightly behind him, looking at the strangers curiously:: [19:37] ::shrugs at Shar:: [19:37] ::closes his mouth as everybody begins putting forth explanations and methods of verifying their story, and looks over his shoulder at the Admiral:: [19:37] ::shakes his head at Markov:: Even your primative sensors could detect our ships warp signature.. IF we even had a ship... did you sense one before? [19:37] ::tries to recall some of his history lessons from the Academy:: [19:38] ::Savant blinked a few times, returning to the present situation. She spoke up.:: I hardly think you'll find a person of my design in your current age, Captain Storsa. [19:38] Artifacts..from Qo'nos.. with controls written in English.. Interesting concept, Mr? [19:38] ::looks pained, but steps forward:: Captain, I believe I can settle this. [19:38] ::looks at the Admiral and takes one step back:: [19:38] Storsa> ::turns to Lora Kor:: Oh? Go ahead. I'd love to hear this. [19:38] ::stay behind as he's not suppose to be hearing too much of this...:: [19:38] ::sighs in relief as Tebrun steps forward:: [19:38] ::has clearly seen these uniforms before, and seems to be unphased by them:: [19:39] ::nods in deferrence to Tebrun:: [19:39] ::aside to Paqui:: {{keep your brain out of the nice people's ship}} [19:39] ::wonders what the Admiral could possibly say to explain everything:: [19:39] ::nods:: Of course, Sir [19:39] ::looks at the Admiral and watches to see what he has in mind:: [19:39] ::Looks up at Storsa and the current situation. She was aware of the tension there, but cold see that it was under control:: [19:39] If you check your records, you'll note that there is a Federation colony on Pa'Zhera 3. The security code for the colony is 3-7-alpha- charlie-delta-2-4. It's confidential emergency frequency is 104.22. Its colony deputy administrator is a man named Dosim Kor. [19:40] ::gets a PADD from his back pocket and starts going through it:: [19:40] ::turns to Tebrun, her eyes wide:: [19:40] ::nods to the admiral... checking it for himself:: [19:40] I know these things because 100 years ago, I was Dosim Kor. We're telling the truth. We're from the future. How we got here... we don't know. If your ship was close enough to pick us up, however, I doubt it's a coincidence. [19:40] ::raises an eyebrow:: [19:40] Especially since that ship is Coronado. [19:40] ::nods:: [19:41] ::smirks slightly as the Admiral transforms the chaotic scene into a silent one:: [19:41] ::Davies looked over at the group, her eyebrow cocked as her attention was suddenly quite piqued:: [19:41] =.\ction= Markov frowns and takes a step back, clearly communicating with his ship. [19:41] ::pulls a PADD from his pocket and taps some buttons, pulling up some pictures of uniforms from this time period and shows it to Farley:: (w) These are the same. I've seen them before. [19:41] ::blink:: [19:41] ::looks at the PADD and nods:: [19:41] ::ponders for a second, but remains standing back, disarmed save his hands and toolless save his brain:: [19:42] ::recalls the images and the horror of Pa'zhera and bows his head, grimacing:: [19:42] ::dredges up a memory of a field trip to the museum, talking quietly behind everything:: We're somewhere in the timeline after 2285 - that's when these uniforms went into service... [19:42] ::to D'rall:: So we've narrowed it down to 15 years. [19:43] Markov> ::returns, still frowning:: There was a colony on Pa'Zhera 3. It was destroyed two months ago. The other details he provided ::indicates Kor:: are correct. [19:43] ::Davies put the sample vial into its sleeve and turned her tricorder scans back on the group with renewed vigor:: [19:43] Occidental history is not one of my strong suites, can some one please explain what is going on? [19:43] ::looks back to Markov and frowns:: Narrowed it down to the month, now. [19:43] ::winces, then nods:: Then it's April 2302 by Earth reckoning, because the colony was destroyed in February. [19:43] ::nods:: I'm afraid my knowledge of history from this era isn't all that great. ::sighs:: Then again, I never was one to think we'd ever find a way back to the Milky Way... [19:43] March, maybe April 2302? [19:43] ::overhears D`rall and moves over to them:: My memory of history keeps bring up something about an incident on one of the Klingon moons near this time. Could explain why this ship and her crew are so far inside Klingon space in a time were the Federation and the Empire weren't on the best of terms. [19:43] Two months ago... ::glances to Daren and whispers:: I would put us at April 2302, then. [19:44] Storsa> ::looks from Markov to Kor and back:: And the Coronado that he's ::points at Daren:: talking about? [19:44] ::looks at Storsa:: I think they're actually telling the truth, Captain. I don't think we can manufacture some of their equipment [19:44] ::curls his lip, listening to Tal, eyes focused on Storsa and Markov:: [19:44] ::finishes the statement:: ...won't have her keel laid down for 90 years, more or less, yes. [19:44] ::frowns:: 2302... ::shrugs:: The only event I can think of was the disappearance of Captain Montgomery Scott in 2295. [19:44] ::glances warily at Tebrun:: [19:45] And... the Enterprise-B was in service at this time. [19:45] ::thinks back and chuckles slightly to himself:: (m) Oh the stories I could tell... [19:45] Markov> ::looks at Storsa and shrugs, maybe unconvinced:: [19:46] ::she points at Prescots' false matter sword:: I don't know what *that* is. What' that for, exactly? It looks like an emitter. [19:46] Storsa> ::nods to herself:: Very well. I'll take your story on faith -- for the moment -- but in any case, you can't stay here. You wouldn't live long, if nothing else. [19:46] ::finds what he's after:: Sir. [19:46] ::gnaws on her lip in contemplation as she continues to whisper to Daren:: I think that our best bet of staying out of history's way is to remain isolated on this planet until we can be returned to our own time - if ever. [19:46] This? ::pulls it out:: Yes it is an emitter... But Im afraid its not working now [19:46] ::She frowned:: can I see it? [19:46] Storsa> Get your people together, and we'll beam you to Coronado. We'll get this straightened out at Starbase 24. [19:47] ::nods and turns to Daren:: You heard the Captain. [19:47] ::nods, turning to Tal:: Obviously, but without a ship and stuck on a planet how the hell do we do that? [19:47] ::nods:: Perhaps when we get back to the ship? [19:47] Wait a minute.. I picked up Klingon comm frequncies just a minute ago.. During this point in history the Klingons and Federation were on bad terms. [19:47] ::decides it would be odd being the Chief Tactical Officer from Coronado on a version of Coronado where he wouldn't be the Chief Tactical Officer:: [19:47] ::see some movements... then decide : To hell with time directive : and walk ot farley's back:: [19:47] We need to minimize contact with everyone from this era. [19:47] ::ponders for a second:: (m) Why would these people care, even if we were artifact smugglers, if we were in Klingon space? [19:47] ::sighs:: Our lives are not worth that of the billions of beings we could wipe out if we interfere, sir. [19:47] ::Savant has remained mostly silent, just watching:: [19:48] Markov> ::turns to Marcy:: You're 70 light-years inside Klingon space, mister, on the main evacuation line from Qo'nos to the Tamaar system. [19:48] All right. [19:48] ::shakes head, almost unbelieving:: For years my people hoped to one day return home... now for one of us to actually make it there - even if it isn't Earth... ::sad smile:: [19:48] Well then, that would make getting out of here a very good idea, then. [19:48] Markov> We're here because we're part of the evacuation line. Now, if you have a problem with Klingons, you're not alone. But keep those problems to yourself. Clear? [19:48] ::looks over at Tal:: why werent you spouting this kind of rhetoric when we were interfering with the timeline during the loop? [19:48] Tamaar system... April 2302? ::whispers:: Oh, hell... [19:48] ::is still standing in the midst of the group, his solid frame unwavering in the winds:: [19:49] ::puts the PADD away:: [19:49] ::nods:: We can do that... ::back to Tal:: What is it Commander? [19:49] ::looks at the Admiral and the Captain and waits for orders:: [19:50] ::nods:: Im afraid I dont know much about it... [19:50] ::gives Tal a look that clearly translates to "shut up":: Later, Captain. [19:50] Let's get everyone together. [19:50] ::stands patiently waiting, drinking in all the details to turn into a good story some day:: [19:50] ::glances at Kor:: But, sir... [19:50] No buts, Commander. Move. Now. [19:50] ::arches an eyebrow at Tal:: [19:50] ::nods:: You heard that Admiral...begin rounding up everyone that is here... [19:50] ::Asks rhetorically::What's so bad about April 2302? [19:50] ::glances at Tal and shakes his head slightly:: [19:50] ::clenches her jaw:: [19:50] ::moves with the group, not really caring about the temporal prime directive:: [19:51] ::keep himself close to the group:: [19:51] ::walks where he's directed:: [19:51] That's twice, Commander. Perhaps we should just isolate you, hmmmm? ::smirks slightly:: [19:51] ::finishes is cycle on the mala and rewraps it on his wrist:: [19:51] Attention all Coronado and Fleet Staff personnel! Move into range for beam up. You are not to communicate anything about yourselves or your time period to these people unless so ordered by the Captain, myself, or a Flag Officer. [19:51] ::sticks with the group, still a little taken aback by all of this:: [19:52] ::walks up to Daren:: Sir? [19:52] ::Savant didn't have far to move to get into range, and she just sort of drifted, as she was sometimes prone to do. She was visibly distracted:: [19:52] ::moves into position:: [19:52] ::nods:: Go ahead Farley... [19:52] ::walks over beside Shar, having little choice to do anything else:: [19:52] ::hands him a PADD with his message on it:: [19:53] Captain, I'd like to take a sample of the planets' biosphere with us, with your permission. It's got some interesting biochemistry. [19:53] ::softly, to Kor:: Admiral, how long is it safe for you to be separated from your previous hosts? [19:53] ::corrects Tal:: Actually, I'm sure the admiral wil handle that authority. [19:53] Storsa> ::turns to Kor:: You're in charge, then? I don't recognize your rank insignia. [19:53] ::hushes as the Captain speaks up again:: [19:53] Storsa> ::to Ironside:: Yours is clear enough, General. And you don't have to whisper. ::indicates her antennae:: I have heard every word you've said. [19:54] ::moves over by Shar and glances around, looking for Savant and Maiko:: [19:54] ::glances at the Padd then to Farley and nods, turns to Davies:: Sounds fine to me Ensign... [19:54] Storsa> Clearly by your words and your actions, something bad is going to happen, and that something bad is imminent. [19:54] ::looks at Storsa, returning to his more distant demeanor, with added inescapable worry:: [19:54] ::raises his chin slightly:: [19:54] ::takes the PADD back and erases the message and puts in back in his pocket:: [19:54] ::looks at Captain Storsa again:: [19:55] ::wonders - not knowing anything of the Coronado of this era - if the ship's interior is going to be similar to the Churchill's in any way:: [19:55] ::scowls:: [19:55] ::exhales sharply:: I'm fine, General. A new balance will be established before too long. ::turns to Storsa:: And I'd remind you of the Temporal Prime Directive, Captain. I apologize for our shock, but you didn't give us much time to settle ourselves. In our time, Coronado is my flagship. [19:56] ::feels a little demophobic near the cluster of personnel:: [19:56] ::mutters:: It's good to hear that Coronado's still around [19:56] Storsa> And that time is... a century beyond ours? Perhaps 120 years? [19:56] ::hands Sky another PADD with a message on it:: [19:57] More or less, yes. [19:57] ::take the padd and read it..:: [19:57] ::twists her mouth into grimace as the old Coronado crew continues to push the envelope of acceptable questions:: [19:57] ::Davies frowned and turned to her tricorder again:: [19:57] ::grimaces at Storsa wondering about her own future:: [19:57] Markov> ::approaches Storsa:: The first group is ready, Captain. [19:58] ::brushes her long hair back to reveal her pointed ears as she moves throughout the crowd, taking stock of who is present and who is not:: [19:58] given Heltzing-Moore's law, the technology they have seems to follow that. I'd say a century or two of evolution. [19:58] ::nods and head back the padd:: [19:58] Storsa> ::turns to Markov and nods:: See to it, Lieutenant. I want to get us back on course for 24. [20:08] ::pulls out a pair of gleaming knives from her now-obviously modified "meditation robes":: [20:08] ::overhears Canterbury:: We'll be following orders Crewman. Just remember I can knock you down another rank if I have to. You'll never get back to Ensign. [20:09] ::Davies shoves her chunky tricorder at him (Big even for the present technology):: What does *that* mean? [20:09] ::gets to his feet and heads for Marcy and Davies, looking pained:: [20:09] ::carefully crawls her way to a seat and climbs in:: [20:09] ::observes Marcy and Davies, steps closer:: What is going on here? [20:09] That..is exactly the reason I don't want to be on this vessel. I'm sure the admiral will explain. [20:09] Listen up, people! Coronado is being boarded by Klingons. We will not take the offensive unless it becomes absolutely neccessary. We will only defend ourselves and this room. Just beacuse we're part of history doesn't mean we want to become a part of history. [20:09] ::Davies shows him a scan of his tricorder, in particular the screen. It was a screen capture of the text he showed Admiral Kor:: [20:10] ::sits rather calmly for the amount of rocking the ship seems to be going through, slowly clearing his mind through light meditation in anticipation of what is to come:: [20:10] ::glances at Shar and quietly responds:: Just considering possibilities. [20:10] oh no no no no no... you don't get away so easy, Mister. You had this here for a reason, you know what it is. [20:10] =.\ction= A group of security led by a young woman enters. Many of them are wounded. [20:10] ::looks over at Tal:: Do you realize that we maybe the reason why this ship surives? [20:10] ::closes his eyes, seeing what's on Davies's tricorder:: [20:11] ::nods at Prescot:: We will do what we must and no more, Colonel. For now, we fight defensively and hold this room. [20:11] Valentine> Davies! The Bridge is gone! Damn Klingons must have planted something up there! The starboard side transfer coduit's blasted to hell -- we can't separate, and the Klingons are taking Deck 5! [20:11] ::notes the wounded entering:: Alec! [20:11] ::Looks at Kor:: I bet you know what it means too. [20:11] I honestly didn't think I served with officers who were this insensitive to the directives they serve under. ::glares at Marcy, also uncharacteristically:: [20:11] They're that far already? [20:12] ::Scrubs her face, frustrated:: okay, okay. [20:12] ::shakes his head:: Your ignorance of what I just said astounds me Commander [20:12] Look, I don't know how you do it in the future, but back here we like not dying. I think we'd all appreciate it if you gave us a clue about what's going on? [20:12] ::nods:: There was no way you could have stopped it. Where's your armory? [20:12] ::calmly stands by and just waits:: [20:12] ::hears the talk and pulls up the decks on the PADD:: [20:13] =.\ction= Another rumbling below decks shakes Coronado. Apparently, the battle down there isn't going well. [20:13] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:13] ::Looks at Valentine, hesitant to give away the location of the armoury to strangers. She looks at Kor and Marcy critically, deciding:: [20:13] ::lets out a long sigh, remembering where he was at this time...another ship, with a different crew:: [20:13] ::glares at Prescot:: If we are the reason this ship survives, then we are the reason this ship survives. We will do what we must to ensure both the timeline and this ship survive. But until we know wnat we have to do, we - stay - her - ::grips a seat back:: [20:13] ::turns:: Farley! Where the hell's the armory on this ship?! Deck 2, or 3? [20:13] ::nods at LoraKor:: If we're going to assist in this fight...we should do so with period weaponry. [20:13] ::Savant steps a bit firward, still speechless. It's obvious that she wans to say something, but can't:: [20:13] nnnngh. Come with me. And hurry! [20:13] ::tucks the phaser away:: [20:14] ::grimaces as she feels her children kick within her:: [20:14] ::Davies grabs her tricorder back and heads for the door:: [20:14] Valentine> ::growls impatiently:: It's on deck 2! Who are you people?! [20:14] Deck 2 aft! [20:14] ::nods and looks for Ironside:: [20:14] ::stands up:: General. I believe we are going to be called into action now [20:14] ::looks at Valentine and makes a face, waving her hands around:: They're fromt he fuuuuture [20:14] ::still sitting, unlaces his fingers and places his arms on the armrests of the chair:: A moment, please. ::closes his eyes:: [20:14] ::sits up in her chair, observing the goings on with the experienced glance of someone used to watching:: [20:14] Oh, to hell with this. Colonel, form assault squads. Each will have a senior officer in charge. [20:14] ::Marcy had a type 2, circa 2403, but he wasn't sure of it's funtionality:: [20:14] ::while looking for Ironside, points at Valentine:: You, over here. Give me a status. [20:15] Aye sir ::nods and stands back:: You know it wont be quite fair with us against them... Should we give them a chance to surrender first? [20:15] Valentine> ::obviously tries to decide between following Kor's order and shooting him:: [20:15] ::finally catches up with the admiral:: [20:15] He's apparently an admiral, Valentine. Though I don't think you have to worry about court martial. [20:15] ::flips her daggers and grins malevolently:: Tonight we drink REAL Klingon blood wine. [20:15] ::smirks slightly and opens his eyes:: That wouldn't be quite in line with history, now, would it Colonel? [20:16] ::glances at Tal, disgusted:: [20:16] ::grins:: No I suppose not... [20:16] ::pushes himself up out of the chair and tugs down at his tunic:: [20:16] ::is somewhat shocked at Tal's outburst:: Commander...are you sure you should given your...condition? [20:16] ::walks behind Shar, feeling uncharacteristically helpless without his phaser:: [20:16] Valentine> ::turns to Davies and nods, still obviously reluctant:: Fine. We were transferring a group of Klingons along the deck 3 starboard corridor to the suttle there. The Klingons set off some kind of device below and aft of the bridge, and another in the corridor. [20:16] ::slips out of her chair and groups in with the various crew and officers NOT involved in counter-offensives at this time:: [20:17] Valentine> The big device on the bridge got the Captain, XO, Markov... all the officers except me an' Davies here. Then Klingons began boarding deck 5 through the aft lower airlock. They're using the shuttle to bring in more troops while we're dicking around up here! [20:17] If they set off a device aft and below the bridge big enough to take out the bridge then I doubt the armory will still be there! [20:17] Valentine> Davies, you're now acting XO. We need to lock down deck 5, not sit here and have a God-damn meeting! [20:17] ::murmurs:: (m) I'll be chuggered. [20:17] ::waits to be given orders, if any, his naturally calm demeanor showing as he watches with a slight touch of...amusement?:: [20:17] Ready to get your hands dirty Crewman? [20:17] ::Davies has moved to a wall computer console, and is hammering on it insistantly to try and get the security systems working properly:: [20:18] ::shakes her head, her long black hair flowing behind her:: We have to act NOW, Captain. I will worry about myself and my offspring after we have maintained the timeline. [20:18] That's a biiiig problem... [20:18] ::walks purposefully over towards the Admiral:: [20:18] Get them weapons, Valentine, we need every fighting hand we can get. [20:18] I can lock the decks down. I just need a consol! [20:18] ::follows behind the General, awaiting orders:: [20:18] Valentine> ::ignores Kor and the others and follows Davies to the console:: [20:19] ::shakes his head:: I'm ready, but I don't want to spill blood. [20:19] ::pulls a PADD out and pulls up the correct info when needed:: [20:19] ::sighs, closing her eyes and tries to remember what she learned about Klingons as a child:: [20:19] ::turns to Canterbury:: We don't seem to have much choice. Farley, help them. [20:19] ::stops beside the Admiral, and watches the 'old' Coronado crew walk off:: Admiral, how long did this 'insurrection' last? [20:19] ::she pulls up a schematic with one hand and points at it while she wrestles with the security systems, locking down bulkheads to slow the Klingons down:: I need a team to go external and disconnect the klingon pods from the ship. [20:19] The General's right. Somehow, we caused this. And I doubt it was a coincidence. [20:19] ::wonders what kind security officer Caterbury is if he doesnt want to spill blood......:: [20:19] Someone wanted us here. Someone put us here. ::turns to Ironside:: It's been a while since I read the records. A few days, maybe more. [20:20] ACK ::moves to the computer consol and inputs the info to lock all decks down completely:: [20:20] ::frowns slightly:: Then we will have to take our time. [20:20] ::doesn't like what she's remembering of this warrior race:: [20:20] ::Davies pauses only long enough to shoot Farley a glance - the computer refused his imput, as he hadn't the correct clearance, obviously:: [20:20] Take our time? There are over 3000 Klingons, and I'll remind you that all the lifeboats, all the workbees, and this ship's one shuttle are all on deck 5. [20:20] If the Klingons are already boarding on Deck 5, I would suggest we secure all entrances to deck four and wait until we the Klingons contained, and have become more organized before pushing them from the ship. [20:20] ::grimaces:: This is going to get really ugly, really quickly. I suggest we move to take the secondary control center on Deck 5. [20:20] You're good, General. But you're not that good. [20:20] Okay. I've bolted down every hatch and bulkhead we've got, that'll slow them down. Let's get to the armoury. [20:20] ::turns to the admiral:: Teh decks are shutting down! [20:21] ::speaks up:: could we vent deck 5 into space [20:21] ::turns to Farley and nods:: Good work, Commander. Find out how many auxillary airlocks there are where they can bring in that shuttle. I know there are two on decks 1 and 3. [20:21] Valentine, how's our security forces doing? [20:21] What kind of intruder deterrants does this ship have? [20:22] ::Pauses and looks over the chattering future-coronado crew:: [20:22] Deck 1 is not usable [20:22] ::blinks:: Engineering... ::turns to Ironside:: General, we need to secure main engineering. We can use counter-intruder protocols from there, flood all affected decks with anesthezine gas. [20:22] ::catches Maiko's eye and nods at her:: [20:22] I don't know who you people think you are, but *I'm* in charge of this boat, not you, and not you! ::looks at the Admiral and at Daren:: Armoury! Now! [20:22] Valentine> They're fighting a delaying action at the deck 4 ladders. The turbolifts are down -- we managed to disable them. But they can flank us through the airlocks, even the damn windows. [20:22] ::grimaces at Marcy:: Forcefields. ::pauses:: Maybe... ::looks to a nearby console:: [20:23] ::musters up a Maiko grin for Prentiss:: Don't suppose you can mix up some drink that'll knock these Klingons out [20:23] This isn't a large ship Commander Tal. Using gas like that is most likely going to get us as well. [20:23] But anesthezine wasn't invented until 2312, Commander. [20:23] oup..oh well.. [20:23] ::nods slowly:: And if memory serves, they've got the auxillary bridge down there. [20:23] Deck 3 is the only usable on for shuttle craft sir [20:23] ::Savant instinctively walked for the door and waited by it for the others:: [20:23] ::glances at Tal, then at Farley, then at Valentine, trying to take in all the information, but finding it rather difficult without a deck plan to organize things:: [20:23] ::smirks:: Actually, I might be able to do that if I can get to a replicator...sir. [20:23] ::hates all this talking and the no actions, peers out into the corridor to check to see if they have any company at the moment:: [20:23] ::turns to Farley and nods:: We have to take and hold that area first. ::gives Davies a small smile:: She's right. Ironside, Prescot, Shar. Pull together teams and get to the armory. [20:24] All personnel to be armed with phasers. [20:24] Get back here as fast as you can. [20:24] augh . . . Valentine, get these people armed. Do we have any of the senior security detail left alive? [20:24] ::flips her knives impatiently:: [20:24] Aye Admiral. ::moves over to where Ironside and Prescott are to see what they have in mind:: [20:24] ::smiles wryly at Davies then points to Tal and Shar:: Commander..Lieutenant...with me. ::turns to Lora Kor:: Admiral...permission to interfere? [20:24] ::lags a bit behind Shar, but practically mirrors his movements:: [20:24] ::turns to Daren:: What'd you have in mind? [20:25] ::licks her lips hungrily:: [20:25] ::nods, turns:: Colonel, take Captain Daren, Lieutenant D'rall and Canterbury. Mr. Shar, take Commanders Tal, Drexler, and Marcy. [20:25] Admiral, I... ::looks over at Ironside:: What? [20:25] =.\ction= A series of bangs sounds below decks, echoing throughout the ship. [20:25] If we can take and hold deck 3 we should be good engineering and the transporter room is there along with other rooms [20:25] Apparently the Captain has other ideas General..... [20:25] ::looks down:: well, hell. They're in the tubes. [20:25] We have to hurry. [20:26] ::nods and moves over to the Captain and the Leiutenant:: Shall we go arm ourselves? [20:26] ::nods to Lieutenant Shar:: Well, guess we get to work together..one more time.. ::smile:: [20:26] ::feels the shake:: Mr. Tlaloco, Ms. Brooks, Ms. Prentiss, you're with me. Commander Farley, remain with the Admiral, keep working with the ship's systems to keep the Klingons contained, as possible. [20:26] Valentine> ::shakes her head:: No, those are the emergency bulkheads closing on the damn Jeffries tubes, finally. I put Lawrence on that. [20:26] In an assault force like this one I am inclined to defer to the General and his tactics...I just think we need to begin quickly, Sir. [20:26] * Obs_Santiago (breathless@C9-dhcp-20-52.resnet.ucsc.edu) has joined #uss-coronado [20:26] ::looks at Ensign Davies, then to General Ironside, then at Lieutenant Shar, then at Captain Daren, in a fair amount of confusion:: [20:26] Valentine> We've got a little time to think now. We have to get a message to Churchill. Get her over here. [20:26] ::whips his eyes at Valentine:: [20:26] Valentine> If we can hold until she gets here, they can handle the damn Klingons. [20:26] ::Davies draws her phaser and shoots it at the ceiling in an attempt to herd the cattle:: Move it! o they not have basic training in whatever bloody century you're from? [20:26] ::pulls out another 2 PADD's and loads them:: Sir, I have deck plans for who needs them! [20:26] ::mutters a curse, grabs a PADD:: Alright, let's get to the armoury. [20:27] ::nods to Marcy, Drexler, and Shar knowing that it was no mistake that every Coronado tactical officer save Daren wound up in this group:: Let's go, gentlemen. [20:27] ::nudges Daren and Maiko, stealing one of the PADD's as he goes:: [20:27] ::reluctantly gets to her feet:: I just want to go on record that if I die here, someone take out the Klingon bastard who... ::overhears the word "Churchill":: Wait a minute... did she say something about the Churchill? [20:27] ::She nods at Valentine:: Good. I like that. that's very good. [20:27] ::stands and nods at Ironside:: [20:27] Where is Churchill? ::Already moving back to the console:: [20:27] ::follows Prescot:: [20:27] ::shoves Maiko out the door:: Move it Lt!! We can discuss your forefathers science ship when we are knee deep in Klingon bodies!! [20:27] ::begins to head out:: [20:27] ::runs up to the Admiral:: Sir, I've done everything I can from here. [20:27] ::stands to follow after Ironside, looking rather scared:: [20:27] ::mutters to Daren:: Did they just say Churchill? [20:28] Valentine> ::follows Davies:: IF she's covering the line the way she's supposed to, she shouldn't be more than 10 light-years off. [20:28] ::eyes the PADD and begins to move out the door at a quick pace:: This way crew [20:28] ::thrown off balance by the shove, falls foward in an ungainly heap on the floor:: Dammit! don't DO that without warning me! [20:28] ::stalks out of the theatre after Tal:: [20:28] =.\ction= The two Coronado officers head back to the console, involved in their conversation for the moment. [20:28] ::picks her up and carries her out into the corridor:: Fine. Dont gawk next time [20:28] ::quietly, to Tal:: She must have meant another. This is 2302. Churchill passed through the Hayashi gate in 228-- ::goes pale:: [20:28] That's almost doable. ::Davies types away, slaving the ships' communication system to her terminal to try and connect to the emitters:: [20:29] ::follows the PADD towards the access junctions leading to the tubes that will take them to the armoury:: [20:29] ::looks to the admiral, handing him one of the 2400-era phasers:: Be-- ::turns to Tal and looks between her and Kor:: [20:29] ::holds one knife in a back hand position and the other in a classic attack pose:: Admiral? [20:29] ::nods:: I believe they did Commander... [20:29] The Catapult. [20:29] We're in an alternate universe. [20:29] Oh..no.. The admiral is right.. [20:29] ::Is jostled from her catatonia:: ... Tebrun? [20:29] Remind me to mention your culture's history sometime in passing and then shove you out of hearing range. ::grumpily follows, clearly not happy at being dragooned into fighting - especially without her stave:: [20:29] Then we don't have to play by the rules, do we, sir? [20:29] ::turns to Savant:: Savant, do you have access to this ship's library computer? [20:29] well, yes... I know that. My mother never served on Coronado. [20:30] ::follows Ironsides, not real sure he likes the idea of having to shoot anyone, but will do his duty:: [20:30] ::Savant nodded:: [20:30] ::moves to the junction:: Alright people time to move ::begins to climb his way to the armory:: [20:30] ::finds the ladder and glances up it, listening for a second before climbing up to deck 2:: [20:30] ::waves one hand as if this is completely unimportant:: Starfleet records. Get me Churchill's status and CO. [20:30] ::looks up:: That voice is familiar. [20:30] ::Savant did just that, pulling the information up on a local screen:: [20:31] ::plants herself by the door in a lookout position while waiting for Kor to learn their fate:: [20:31] ::follows Ironside immedietly up the ladder, not eager to be last: [20:31] Oh great, a LADDER. ::forces herself to concentrate carefully on moving her legs, managing to get up the rungs without falling off:: [20:31] ::keeps his eyes flicking between sightlines while waiting at the exit to the next deck, checking occasionally to make sure people are making it up okay:: [20:31] I have a feeling when this is all over, Starfleet will come up with a directive for interfering with alternate realities. ::stands up and heads out with the others:: [20:31] Let's move... ::heads into the corridor, finding an accessway to the next deck:: [20:31] ::waits out in the corridor wondering what the hold up is:: [20:32] NCC 2713, Captain Warren Fisher. Last known location was on the Qonos evacuation line, 11 days ago when Coronado passed her. [20:32] ::scans the areas, looking around to make sure no one is nearby that resembles a Klingon, then helps haul Maiko up the last few rungs:: its on this deck... down this hall here [20:32] They didn't go through the hypergate.. [20:32] =.\ction= Coro's corridors are full of semi-panicked crew, many of them wearing the Starfleet Security armor common at the time. Marines have a sixth sense about where to find weapons... ::follows:: [20:34] <[1]-BGDC_Ironside> ::nods at Brooks:: They're less powerful, and will heat up quicker, so you'll need to ration your fire more than you would with a phaser of our era. [20:34] ::nods seeing it:: Alright...let's go Prescot...::begins moving for the armory:: [20:34] <[2]-CPS1_Drexler> We're going to take care of the Klingons and then find the Hayashi hypergate, I imagine.
