[19:03] =Sim Briefing!= Please type "ack" after you've read it... [19:03] Stardate 240405.03: "Mass Resignation", Part 2, by Jester. [19:03] SUMMARY: Hide and seek. [19:03] Coronado has entered an unnamed nebula about 80 light-years "northwest" of Reor'sa. Calculations and extrapolation on the part of Captain Savant has pinpointed this nebula as the site, in 80 days, of another of the space/time anomalies: the space-time "tears" that appear in M64. [19:03] These tears have been coming more and more often of late, and extrapolating their appearance into the future leads us to believe that they will soon reach a point of no return, where Xanadu will be unable to contain them as fast as new ones emerge. Once this begins, there will be no stopping it. [19:03] As a result, Coronado has been sent into this nebula to determine exactly where the next tear will appear, and to look for a way to prevent them in the future. The nebula interferes with virtually every subspace system aboard the frigate, and worse yet, the Xur are also here, most likely on a similar mission... [19:03] Briefing complete. [19:19] ::takes the drinks and quietly distributes them around the bridge, pausing for a short time at each console as he sets the glass in place:: [19:19] ::nods:: Captain, I suggest we go to Yellow Alert and have the patrols attempt to confirm this reading. This is exactly what we need right now. [19:20] E> No, we are still using slipstream in the nebula. [19:20] CIC> ::watches LoraKorl for a second and almost doesn't catch it, then narrows his eyes slightly:: Admiral... [19:21] X4> ::glances at Tebrun as he rubs his temples, but decides against bringing anything up:: [19:21] ::perks:: Nothing at all? [19:21] M> With this I've been able to tell for a while now. [19:21] E> Thank you. +taps+ Bridge, engineering yellow ready. [19:21] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:21] ::blinks a few times, before realizing:: Oh. I... I'm afraid I don't have time, Zach. Not now. ::goes back to making the manual adjustments:: [19:21] 9> ::walks toward the bridge, looking at the PADD disinterestedly:: [19:21] ::shrugs, and nods:: 2 days, thereabouts... and no, sir, nothing. It's stopped transmitting. [19:21] X4> ::without looking up from the PADD:: That seems like a good idea. Shall I summon her? [19:21] X4 CIC> Might be interesting to see their reaction to her. The Alexandria Library team managed to break through one of the Nexus blocks yesterday. That's what prompted my research. [19:22] ::frowns:: A Xur presence and then our probe stops transmitting. I don't like what this adds up to, Captain. [19:22] X4 CIC> ::Savant watched the cluster of officers planning and plotting, herself rather quiet as she brooded over the information she was collecting:: [19:22] X4 CIC> ::looks up, looking tiredly amused:: It appears that Doctor Lopez is quite the historical figure in the Alexandria library. A bit like how we regard Socrates, or Thomas Edison. An amateur, but gifted. They broke the locks on a number of her "later" papers. ::pauses and looks from Drexler to Savant:: Papers she hasn't written yet. [19:22] ::frowns slightly and shakes his head, then moves on to Brook and Prescot:: [19:22] M>::shakes her head:: I don't think I want to know... [19:22] CIC> Indeed... ::gets somewhat sidetracked from his notice of the admiral's behaviour:: ...anything useful? [19:22] X4 CIC> That must be a little unsettling for her. Everything looks fine, developmentally. Twenty fingers, twenty toes. [19:23] ::strolls onto the bridge, looking down at the PADD in his hands without looking up as he walks toward the tactical station:: [19:23] X4 CIC> She doesn't know yet. I've been instructed not to tell her. [19:23] ::so tired, she's not even listening to the bridge conversations in the background, as focused as she is:: [19:23] X4 CIC> Understandably. [19:23] * CPS3_Savant_X4 is now known as CPS3_Savant [19:24] ::side-steps Canterburry as he almost rund into him:: Careful, you could run into someone like that. [19:24] CIC> Hrm. ::nods and turns his attention to the display showing the latest update from the Coronado relay buoy:: [19:24] X4 CIC> ::nods, dropping into a chair:: As a result, I can't decide whether to invite Doctor Lopez or not. Surely, Olmy realizes that she's here. [19:24] ::grimaces:: So much for dropping breadcrumbs... [19:24] X4> Books she hasn't written yet... but how would they know of them? ::pauses:: Doesn't that mean she writes these books in the next several years and then somehow this literature makes its way back to the Milky Way prior to evacuation? [19:24] X4 CIC> But he's proving surprisingly bad at keeping information from us, and there's no telling what he'd say to her. [19:24] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Yellow Alert . [19:24] Could there some kind of interference? [19:24] X4 CIC> I think we ought to. Having them in the presence of a famous "historical figure" will tip the scales of the meetings. [19:24] ::looks up:: What? ::finally notices Zach:: Oh, sorry, Yeoman. Wasn't paying attention. [19:24] Where in this nebula, Captain, is there not interference? [19:25] M>::nods:: [19:25] CIC> The question is whether or not he's doing it on purpose, or because he really is that loose lipped. He seems to be much more free with information now than he was when we first met. [19:25] X4 CIC> ::gives Drexler that same amused/tired look:: Alternate universe, remember? We're having a damned hard time pinning down whether she's supposed to be here, or in the Milky Way. [19:25] X4 CIC> Bit like trying to determine where Socrates lived when he was 15. The records aren't that specific. [19:25] CIC> His asides to me outside of Ram Kikura's knowledge certainly indicate that. [19:25] X4> ::his eye twitches at the mention of "alternate reality":: [19:26] (m) Obviously. ::makes it back to his console and sips his own drink before tapping slowly at his console, not really having a lot to do at the moment:: [19:26] <> [19:26] X4 CIC> I think we should continue on the assumption that she's supposed to be here. [19:26] =.\ction= The probes final visual record plays out on the main holotank. From the swirling blue shadows a single Xur carrier emerges, fires a single weapons blast, and then nothing as before... [19:26] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:27] M> Only if you have something. This shows all clear. [19:27] ::mutters:: Damn... [19:27] X4 CIC> ::nods slowly:: I suppose, but the fact that her papers exist in the Alexandria Library when Xanadu was built in the Milky Way implies that either she's supposed to be there, or she writes the papers here and we transmit them back. [19:27] Cute... ::frowns at the display:: It seems that they have an interest in that certain area [19:27] ::taps the watch tactical officer on the shoulder:: All right, Derrikson, you can go. ::lifts an eyebrow towards Prentiss as he hears him mutter something, but not having heard what was said, turns to the console and takes the station:: [19:27] ::does manage to get distracted by the holotank playback:: Oh for crying out loud... [19:27] E> ::hamds fly over the consol:: [19:27] Have any of the other sensor bouys been targeted? ::looks over at Brooks:: [19:27] X4 CIC> Either way, given her later works, I don't think she encountered Xanadu when she wrote those papers. [19:27] X4> Which violates the directives we have in place about intelligence sharing between us and the Milky Way. [19:27] X4 CIC> She came here, so I think it's best to assume that this is where she's supposed to be, unless we have concrete proof otherwise. [19:27] ::sarcastic:: Splendid. Remind me next time to bring a cloaking device with me...or something! [19:28] CIC> ::crosses his arms, clearly not wanting to get involved in the paradox discussion:: [19:28] ::shrugs towards Prescot:: We're still receiving feeds, but there's a lag tag between between a few hours, and a few days. If they had been destroyed, we might very well not know about it for a while. [19:28] I'm just glad it wasn't us. [19:28] X4 CIC> I've read several of them, and given what we've found ::points to the holographic representation of the No Man's Land barrier:: they seem a little naive. [19:28] M>::gets up:: cool... [19:28] Wonderful... [19:29] Let's not let this stop us. That's just one, there's no way they could find them all. Keep deploying bouys along the route as planned... [19:29] M> Well, you know what they say. [19:29] ::Grunts:: wonderful... [19:34] <> [19:34] X4> She's a scientist, correct? I think she would be happy to meet our guests. [19:34] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:34] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Yellow Alert . [19:34] M> I would recommend the latter. If you're feeling tired, you're much better served sleeping than exhausting yourself. [19:34] X4 CIC> Given the circumstances, I think she could make that sacrifice. [19:35] M>::nods:: then I will do the later, it sure beats working at least... [19:35] Flying blind in a mine field wouldn't be my favorite activity either, but it's the hand we've been dealt. New bearing 045 mark 27 [19:35] M>::heads out of sickbay towards her quarters:: [19:35] ::sighs and turns back to the console, manually plotting the course change:: [19:35] X4 CIC> ::nods slowly and removes the teacup, full of that same acrid tea as before:: Very well. Let's get her here. Savant, you'll have to scare up an Arrow for her. [19:36] X4 CIC> Last I heard, she was on Reor'sa, pulling together a team for the next Tuberider expedition to the test gate. [19:36] X4 CIC> I'll have it en route right away, Admiral. Logistics command owes me a favour, and they have a spare. [19:36] ::looks to Brooks:: Any idea how they're finding our probes? ::seems a bit tense:: I can barely see the the nacelles from Seventh Heaven when we're at impulse...and yet they're two for two! [19:37] X2>::having spent the last few days reading and studying the Nightmare, decides to pack it up and take a few hours off:: [19:37] ::alters their slipstream trajectory after she manually calculates it:: Bearing 045 mark 27, confirmed. [19:37] E> ::looks over the readings from his consol:: [19:37] Either they have some way of picking up the probes themselves, or they're just following our wake... [19:38] X4 CIC> ::nods and heads back for his seat:: What word from Coronado? [19:38] ::drops the towel in the replicator and picks up the empty glasses, leaving Maiko's there as she hasn't touched it yet:: [19:38] *>::decides to go see whats going on in the bridge and changes course:: [19:38] ::thinks for a moment:: Lieutenant. [19:39] ::shrugs:: Not particularly. A few LY when we dropped them off, but they might have drifted. [19:40] X4> Nothing new to report from Coronado, sir. [19:40] ::looks up as Zunite enters and nods at her, the drops the empty glasses in the replicator:: [19:40] X4 CIC> Nothing, Admiral. I'm having a very hard time keeping them on the network. It' smaking me feel positively light-headed. [19:41] Hmmm. If they were following us that easily they should have caught up to us by now... [19:41] ::leans back in her chair, eying the drink:: [19:42] X4 CIC> ::frowns and nods:: Weren't we expecting a report of some kind from them by now? [19:42] X4 CIC> It's been more than a week. [19:42] X4 CIC> Their environment makes communications very difficult. [19:43] E> ::gets the ok from those systems then moves to other systems:: [19:43] They very well could be right behind us now.. not that'd we know it in this soup... [19:43] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:43] What do you suppose would happen if we tried a split- S? [19:43] ::eyes a blinking light on his consle before pulling it up:: Captain! Spectre 1 just took a weapons hit from its port side... Unknown exact location [19:43] ::moves back to his console and taps a button, looking for something to keep him occupied for a while:: [19:43] X4 CIC> No help for it, I suppose. [19:45] ::slides over in his chair as he primes the weapons systems:: ...Bloody hell! [19:45] ::does what she can for evasive maneuvers while at slipstream:: [19:45] X4 CIC> Wait, let me make sure I understand this. We have no ansible, nor any subspace communications with Coronado at present? [19:45] Incomming Xurian fighters! ::spits out a spray of ECM against them as they move int for attack, for what good it does in the nebula:: [19:45] X4 CIC> And it's because of their environment? ::sips at his tea, grimacing:: [19:45] E> ::taps consol:: Propulsion and Power reg teams report red alert ready [19:46] X4 CIC> That's correct, Sir. I hope that they were assuming it to be an abush. [19:46] (ambush, even. ambush.) [19:46] Mr. Canterbury, return fire! [19:46] Thank you. +taps+ Bridge, engineering red ready. [19:46] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:46] ::moves over to pick up the glass and gets slammed into the wall as the ship rocks:: [19:46] X4 CIC> ::frowns:: What else doesn't work in there? Do we know? [19:46] ::orders Spectre three to harrass incomming fighters and provide cover for Spectre 1 [19:46] ::mutters:: ...could have been out of here hours ago but NO.... ::hauls hard to starboard, trying to break from the attacking fighters:: [19:47] X4 CIC> Most cochrane-field based technology is rather limited within the scope of that area. [19:48] E> Did we lose another coil? [19:48] Canterbury, shield status? What the hell happened....I though our shields would be rather reliable in here. [19:48] X4 CIC> Yes, Sir. Rather grim. [19:48] CIC> ::looks over the rim of his mug as he sips from it, eyeing the admiral and his painful expressions:: [19:48] ::grunts as he launches his remaining fighters, with orders to defend the coronado and wait till Spectre 1 is in before forming up for an attack patern:: [19:49] ::however, dropping to impulse at least lets her use her normal playbook for evasives, which she happily slips into:: [19:49] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Red Alert . [19:49] X4 CIC> Without ansible and subspace communications, we're not going to be able to remote-pilot a Liberator, Captain Savant. [19:49] X4 CIC> We could easily program an autopilot for that job. [19:49] ::moves his hand over the torpedo controls and fires a quantum torpedo into the centre of a formation of inbound fighters:: Reliable against the background, Captain. I've optimised them a bit, but they're operating at less than 60% efficiency. [19:49] =.\ction= Coronado wastes no time standing still and gets moving once the fighters are away... [19:49] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:49] X4 CIC> Certainly, if we could rely on active sensors in the Liberator. Which you just told me we can't. [19:50] E> ::Runs some checks:: [19:50] ::gets rid of the glass and rubs his shoulder as he returns to his console, grabbing it with one hand as he taps away with the other:: [19:50] =.\ction= Canterbury fires a torpedo, which misses low and to the right. [19:51] E> Hello maam. [19:51] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:51] Spectre 1 has landed... your free to move thes ship as you feel fit Commander ::continues directing his ECM where the attacks come from, directing his fighters to stay in a pack and attack that way:: [19:51] E>it's the Xur, so you might want to check if they're using a slip stream dampening system of some sort.. [19:52] X4 CIC> ::nods slowly, frowning:: [19:52] ::watches the fighter tumble and aims at another, wasting little time before he fires phasers again:: [19:52] =.\ction= One of Coronado's phaser beams lashes out, which misses badly, not even in the neighborhood. [19:52] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:52] X4 CIC> We didn't anticipate this. [19:52] I think it might be worse maam. [19:52] ::mutters something about the Irish and fires phasers again:: [19:52] =.\ction= One of Coronado's phaser beams lashes out, just missing the target. [19:52] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:52] E>yes? [19:52] X4 CIC> Perhaps we need to adjust our timeline. [19:52] =.\ction= The fighters once again disappear, out of immediate sensor range. [19:52] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:53] Fighters moving away... ::recalls his bird back to close CAP formation:: [19:53] +taps+ Engineering, damage report! [19:53] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:53] ::double-checks the flight sensors but has nothing on them anymore:: Damnation! [19:53] X4> ::looks between Savant and Kor:: [19:53] ::cuts the immediate ECM:: [19:53] X4> ::arches an eyebrow:: [19:53] E> We did lose another coil sir [19:54] X4 CIC> Captain Drexler, I think we need to move a science asset into the nebula at first opportunity to fully determine conditions in there. [19:54] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Red Alert . [19:54] E>::takes a seat at an empty console and pulls up the slipstream data:: ah I see... that's not good... [19:54] E> +taps+ Engineering to Daren [19:54] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:54] X4 CIC> Savant, once we have them, we're going to have to look at alternatives to the remote-pilot plan that we initially banked on. [19:54] ::looks at Oswald:: I tried to tell them but would they listen? [19:55] X4 CIC> I'll see if we can get our next liberator equipped with an escape shuttle. That seems to be the most straightforward plan, and least problem prone. [19:55] E>::looks at Gannsen:: did I ever send that equation for the slipstream generators? [19:55] ::starts working on the messages the suddenly start filling his console, tapping away as quickly as possible, in a way happy to have something to do, it if weren't for the circumstances surrounding them:: [19:55] Canterbury...you need to get a bit better with those torpedoes. ::looks around:: Options, do we follow them? [19:55] ::slows back to a safe speed for now:: [19:55] I say we get the hell out of here, report that this nebula's infested, and get some more help. [19:56] X4 CIC> ::nods:: Very well. Without subspace sensors, transporters probably won't work, so we're going to need a ship nearby to recover the shuttle, and also some way to ensure the Liberator enters the anomaly properly, even pilotless. [19:56] E> Dont think so ma`am [19:56] E>::gets up and heads out of engineering:: I'll send to you, but it's in my quarters... it'll be a minute or so... [19:56] ::sets away all his gear and retires to a little cot in a small room inside the spaceport that has conviently become his quarters [19:56] We're too deep inside for that Maiko. [19:56] ::frowns:: With all due respect, sir, this is like trying to pin the tail on a donkey, except this time the donkey's trying to pin another tail on you, and moving around while it tries. [19:56] If we lose them we may not get another chance to inflict damage on their numbers [19:56] X4 CIC> ::Savant continued her discussion with Logistics about their liberator:: It may be that the pilot needs to stay in the Liberator through to the final sequence if that can't be assured, sir. [19:56] E> +taps+ We have lost a coil at the least, sir. [19:56] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:57] X4> ::nods, getting orders ready for the nearest science vessel:: [19:57] Which is why if we leave now, maybe we'll that much closer to getting out when they REALLY start hounding u [19:57] ((u/us)) [19:57] +taps+ at least? Commander Farley, get your ass moving and find out! Or I'll replace you with someone that can! Bridge, out! [19:57] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:57] * Zunite is now known as Sonya [19:58] E> +taps+ Working on it sir! [19:58] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:58] X4 CIC> ::exhales at Savant, then nods and turns to Ironside:: General, I believe the Liberators are piloted by your personnel? [19:58] ::looks over at Daren, noting the stress is getting to him too:: [19:58] CIC> ::lowers his mug, holding it in two hands:: That is correct. [19:58] We're not going to scout this nebula successfully without slipstream...so Maiko, set course for their last known trajectory. [19:59] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [19:59] We've gotta try and reach them before they report back to whatever Carrier they belong to. If they haven't done so already. [19:59] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Red Alert . [19:59] ::mutters something about suicide as she plots the course manually, then after a few seconds, engages:: [19:59] E> Bad news sir, we habe lost three coils [19:59] Assuming they cant communicate in this soup [19:59] X4 CIC> I assume you will be able to find some Marines motivated to find me some alternatives? I am not inclined to sacrifice one of your men if it is not absolutely required. ::takes another sip of tea, grimacing:: [19:59] E> Damn it!! I told them this would happen! [19:59] E> +Taps+ Daren, we have lost 3 coils total! [19:59] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:00] =.\ction= Coronado takes off chasing after the fighters... [20:00] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:00] E> ::glances over the readings:: [20:00] ::orders his men to stay on formation the coro:: [20:00] CIC> ::watches the Admiral's grimace again:: Colonel Wayne immediately springs to mind. The two pilots currently looking after the Nightmares here on Xanadu come highly recommended from Colonel Prescot as well. [20:01] +taps+ Get started on replacing them right away. Also, Mr. Farley...have someone work on boosting power to the shield projectors...I don't want the shields failing like that again. [20:01] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:01] X4 CIC> I'd recommend making this one a voluntary mission, given the situation. [20:01] ::keeps her eyes peeled for ANY sign of the fighters or their carrier(s)... [20:01] X4 CIC> ::nods:: Get them to work on this. In addition... ::turns to Drexler:: We're going to need a science team. Someone or someones qualified to go over the telemetry of our last two encounters with these tears. [20:01] E> +taps+ ACKL [20:01] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:01] X4 CIC> See if there's some common denominator that will allow us to detect them, even without subspace sensors. [20:02] E> Gannsen lets get to work. [20:02] X4 CIC> ::Savant frowned a little:: I'm getting a bad feeling about this. I think that something bad is happening in that nebula right now. [20:02] CIC> ::turns to the console on the holotable beside him and sets his mug down:: +com+ General Ironside to...::looks up the name on the information provided by Prescot:: Lieutenant Somansky, please respond. [20:02] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:02] X4 CIC> ::nods at Savant:: Precisely what I was thinking, but we have 11 weeks to look for alternatives. We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't. [20:03] ::looks at another blinking light of his:: Captain... my men have detected another group of Xur nearby and they have begun an engagement of them... I have coordinates [20:03] ::looks at the murky tank:: Let's just hope there aren't any brick walls out there... ::turns:: Tactical, are we ready? [20:03] +com+::blinks trying to recall the name Ironside. . .oh yes:: Somansky here. . .Go ahead sir. [20:03] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:03] * McC|Lab (mcc@155.33.231.234) has left #uss-coronado [20:04] Where there's fighters, there's Carriers. [20:04] ::makes it so, the manual calculations at impulse speed a bit quicker:: [20:04] ::breathes in, staring down at the gun scope on the display as he moves it around:: Weapons are all at a hundred percent, the aft torpedo tube is reloaded. Shields are up, at their reduced efficiency as before. [20:04] ::engages impulse engines, revving up to combat speed:: [20:04] =.\ction= With a chirping sound from the Helm console, Coronado's impulse engines engage... [20:04] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:04] X4 CIC> ::nods at Savant again, slowly:: Just separation anxiety, or do you have any firm evidence, Captain? [20:04] E> ::Looks at Farley:: Aye Sir; Teams 1 2 and three with me; Warrant Officer get me three slipstream coils and three toolkits ::turns to team leader one and two:: Each of you take one coil ill take the last with team three; make all possible speed [20:05] X4> We're spread a bit thin as far as science personnel goes, sir. [20:05] ::grunts as he watches the battle unfold, watching carefully and preparing ECM for when the Coronado engages them:: [20:05] ::glances around, hoping they make it out of this without too much trouble, but somehow doubting it... this is the Coronado after all:: [20:05] X4 CIC> ::leans against the holographic table, looking at Savant, then turns slowly to Drexler:: I know, Captain. If we have to cobble something together, we have to cobble something together. For a change, we have a little time. [20:06] X4 CIC> I got a brief connection . . . only long enough to do the barest of handshaking before I lost the signal, but ... I don't know. It's hard to explain. It felt. . . ::She grinned briefly:: It felt like the ship was on full power, like it is when it's on alert status. [20:06] =.\ction= The Spectre's are pitched in a heavy dogfight with a group of 7 Xur fighters. The fighters find it a bit easier to fight ships similar to their size, but need to be awfully close for any weapons to actually hit their target. [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] CIC> +com+ Lieutenant, I'm forwarding you all the information we have currently received regarding the nebula where the next tear has been identified to form. The make-up of this nebula will make impossible with the current set-up to pilot the modified Wraith or Wraiths into the anomaly once formed. We need options that do not involve a pilot remaining with the vessel until its destruction. [20:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:06] ::stares at the defunct sensors with loathing and contempt:: I'm half tempted to ask someone to go to the windows on each side of the ship and just look for contacts. [20:06] ::aims for the center of the dogfight:: Tell your boys to be ready to get out of the way. I'm taking us right into the middle of that furball.... ::sets her jaw:: [20:06] Estimated time to intercept Maiko? [20:07] ::chuckles at Canterbury and sends off another message:: [20:07] The men are giving them what for Captain. But they are having to get in close to score any kind of hits [20:07] X4> ::nods slowly:: I foresee a refit to one of our ships. That c ould be days at minimum. Several weeks at most. Scientific platforms haven't been in production. [20:07] E> How much time do you need? [20:07] X2>::sits up in his cot, blinking a few times::+com+ Aye sir. I'll get right on it. [20:07] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:07] X4 CIC> ::nods at Savant:: I'm sure they're fine. Commodore Daren can handle himself, and he's got a full squadron of support ships to back him up. [20:07] X4> Maybe we can get something as it comes out of Penthia. [20:07] X4 CIC> It's not like he'd leave them outside the nebula, particularly if he encountered hostiles. [20:07] X4 CIC> ::She nodded, but was entirely unconvinced:: [20:08] E> If things go as they are supposed to Four hours; but with three teams doing three operations I really dont know [20:08] ::looks down where it'd normally be on the board, but it, along with other higher computer functions, is out:: About as much time as it'll take for you to chug a beer and belch the Federation Anthem. ::tired Maiko grin:: A minute or two tops. [20:08] X4> +com+ Keep me informed of your progess on a daily basis, Lieutenant. If significant modifications are required to the Wraiths to fit one of your solutions, we need to have them undertaken as quickly as possible. Contact me if you have any questions. [20:08] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:08] X4 CIC> ::turns slowly to face Drexler:: Let's fit up something that's already built, rather than trying to scratch-build something. [20:08] X2>+com+ Aye sir. [20:08] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [20:08] E> do your best but as before I only want it donw once. [20:08] ::blinks and looks at Maiko oddly:: [20:09] X4 CIC> ::hooks a chin in Ironside's direction:: His people are going to need as much information as we can give them as fast as we can give it. What we need are some deep penetration scans of Xur space. We know they use the same fold drive as the Apori and the Pfhor. That means they wouldn't travel between systems. Though they could be outfitted with reserve fuel tanks. [20:44] CIC> Admiral, with the time available to us, I don't think any vessel limited to normal warp velocities will be able to provide us with timely reconnaissance data - and with the limited amount of time before the next tear forms, speed is of the essence.
