[19:01] We're again missing quite a few. Santi, Kari, CCC, Tripp. 4 minute hold, starting now. [19:01] * CoroLCARS sets mode: +v CCC [19:01] Computer recognizes CCC. Authorization codes enabled. [19:01] CCC = Commander Jack C. Farley, Chief Engineering Officer. [19:01] Make that a 3 minute hold. ;) [19:01] So that means limited amounts of reactant for our remaining torpedo launchers for normal warheads, the FM warheads are useless, and I'm not gonna have much for boosting the impulse propulsion power. [19:01] santi came in and said he'd be late [19:01] Just in time! lol [19:01] so did kari actually. [19:02] Good week for the entire engineering team to be here. ;) [19:02] * CCC is now known as CREN_Farley [19:02] ::nods:: She said she'd be late, so she gets a minute. ;) [19:02] ah ^_- [19:02] Sorry for missing last week [19:02] I think it's safe to say that Coronado is OUT of this battle unless the Dream Team manages to pull a miracle out of their collective asses ;) [19:02] np [19:02] Oh no look out engineering! [19:02] * kari is now known as LTSI_Brooks [19:02] you have *NO* idea Farley [19:02] whew [19:02] Ship got torn up pretty good last week, CCC. [19:07] Stardate 240407.12: "Lost Soul", Part 3, by Jester. [19:07] SUMMARY: Do what you came here to do. [19:07] Coronado is holding position near the location where a new "tear" will appear, in a large nebula "northwest" of Reor'sa. Unfortunately, the Xur had already reached the location and garrisoned it with at least six carriers and an unknown but very large number of strike craft. [19:07] Over the last few weeks, preliminary skirmishes have been taking place between Xur forces attempting to reinforce the enemy position and a large Defender fleet gathered to confront the Xur main body. However, the preliminaries are now over and it's time to move in on the Xur stronghold. [19:08] In Xanadu, Alicia has suggested that the asteroid-starship should be put through a Beckmann translation before the automatic programming can move the facility to the nebula. She says it takes some time for the Beckmann systems to recharge and this might safeguard Xanadu from Xur attack. [19:08] Briefing complete. [19:08] * CRXO_Tal acknowledges with a crisp salute. [19:08] ack [19:08] ack [19:08] ack [19:08] ack [19:08] ack [19:08] Acknowledged. [19:08] ack [19:08] ack [19:08] acką [19:09] ack [19:09] When we left off last week, Coro had taken a lucky shot from a tar na zee weapon? organism? which had penetrated from deck 15 to deck 18 aft, from the deuterium bottles almost to the antimatter bottles. There's also no aft torpedo launcher. Worst of all, the subversion took over both warp plasma transfer lines to the nacelles, which were physically broken to prevent further spread of the infection. [19:10] That renders Coro more or less dead in the water, other than impulse, unless her Engineering team can fabricate a miracle. [19:10] Might be academic if the infection spreads, though. Lots and LOTS of energy in that part of the ship. [19:11] Any questions about where we ended up? [19:11] ::raises:: [19:11] ::raises:: [19:11] ::raises:: [19:12] Lieutenant Wolf? [19:12] are fighters already launched? [19:12] Yep, very much so. [19:12] Though Coro herself is only capable of refueling fighters in a limited way right now. Fortunately, Renegade is close by. [19:12] General Ironside? [19:12] Has Xanadu translated as of yet? [19:13] Nope. We're gonna pick it up with the decision ready to be made, hopefully. ;) [19:13] Commander D'rall? [19:13] ::raises:: Have we used the time we have had to try to move away from Xur patrols to a safer part of the nebula (if such a place exists?) [19:14] Sure. You can get 1/2 of 24 light-hours away in one day. Is that helpful? ;) [19:14] I'd say we should have certainly changed our position slightly, because the Xur obviously know we're in that spot and we don't want to be there waiting for them to come finish us off. [19:15] Better than nothing, especially if it helps put us closer to support. [19:15] For the record, that's about the distance from the sun to Neptune. In space terms, it's a tiny distance. [19:15] hehe [19:15] ::raises:: [19:15] Or, in the immortal words of Airplane 2, "we're off course just a tad." ;) [19:15] Captain Drexler? [19:15] What did the recon packet to Longshot reveal? [19:16] System is clear and more or less how Xanadu left it. [19:16] OK. [19:16] Clear? Shouldn't that system be filled with derelict Phfor vessels that drifted into the radiation? ;-) [19:16] Excellent question. :) As a matter of fact, there's no sign of Pfhor vessels in the system. [19:17] * Natty (~trekkiemo@adsl-69-105-90-249.dsl.scrm01.pacbell.net) has left #uss-coronado [19:17] * Natty (~trekkiemo@adsl-69-105-90-249.dsl.scrm01.pacbell.net) has joined #uss-coronado [19:17] <> [19:17] :/ Alrighty, Wolf. [19:19] Two questions Sir; whats the status of our antimatter supply and are there any diabled ships nearby that we can use for parts [19:19] Coro was one of two ships that got spotted. One of the Camelynian ships was the other. Coro came out worse of the two. Antimatter supplies, ironically, are fine. Coro was refueled before she left for the nebula. [19:20] But you're thinking along very good lines. :) [19:20] Anyone else? [19:20] ::raises:: [19:20] "That's what makes us special." [19:20] Doctor Boswell? [19:20] Boswell or Kennedy? [19:21] Up to you. Kennedy would be useful to monitor an unjoined Trill's vitals and make sure he doesn't drop dead a few million kilometers from the anomaly. [19:21] righto. [19:21] But Coro still has her share of casualties. You can do both if you can manage it. [19:21] * LCDR_Kennedy (~breathles@adsl-68-123-37-128.dsl.sktn01.pacbell.net) has joined #uss-coronado [19:21] * CoroLCARS sets mode: +v LCDR_Kennedy [19:22] ::Raises:: [19:22] Needless to say, Tebrun will forcibly eject Kennedy from his ship, though. So consider her on a "nearby" ship. Blackrazor would be a good candidate if Alffred's connection stands up to it. [19:22] Commander D'rall, something else? [19:22] Do we have any help coming from any one else. Like, maybe, some Traxati needlers? [19:23] "Can you tell me how this episode ends? I'd really like to know." [19:23] Any other questions? [19:23] ::rolls eyes:: Any help that we know of obviously. [19:23] ::raises:: [19:23] Everything that the Defenders can spare is being rushed into the area. [19:24] ::rolls eyes:: [19:25] Use Razor> or something in front of your text. ;) [19:25] Thank you. [19:25] Anyone else? [19:25] ::raises:: [19:25] ::glances at the tactical console longingly:: [19:26] Commander Farley? Sheesh, lots of questions. ;) [19:26] How long do we have to make your miracles happen? [19:35] X2> ::turns back to the others and nods, waiting to hear Alicia's response:: [19:35] E> We should be able to run new lines around the infected areas. Get down to Kelaka! [21:06] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [21:07] ::doesn't hear Daren's comment, as focused as she is on the attack patterns:: Engaging tactical attack pattern Gamma Theta Three... [21:07] Pull away from the immediate chaos so we can release kelaka.... [21:07] Tech> Razor> ::pounds on his board in frustration:: I can't pin it down! I don't know what it is, but it isn't humanoid! [21:07] <[MG_Ironside]> ::rubs a hand over his scalp and lets out a long breath, wondering whether he should have left Xanadu and how long he can afford to be as far away from the action as he is:: [21:07] TL> Kelaka launch bay. [21:07] Captain, with all due respect, we can't pull away from this mess, and it'll waste even more time. The commander's the second best pilot you've got onboard. She can handle it. [21:07] =.\ction= Ship's condition is currently: Red Alert . [21:08] Razor> Let's get in close enough to stage an emergency beamout. We can get the Admiral and leave the nonhumanoid for further investigation. [21:08] =.\ction= Whatever is going on aboard the Wraith, it hasn't affected the ship's ability to fly or to fight. A half-dozen microtorpedoes blast a Xur light fighter out of its way, and the Banshees cover the bigger craft from a variety of evils as it weaves through the throng. [21:08] ::gazes at the display, practically stabbing at the fighters on the display with burning beams of phaser fire, the strikes causing damage to the formations but still having the seeming effect of passing through smoke:: [21:09] Tech> Razor> Doctor, that's impossible! We can't use transporters without sensors. And we sure as hell can't get in that close! [21:09] Very well, inform Kelaka we can't give them a clear sendoff...and...by-God...is that Pfhor?! [21:09] +Taps+ D'rall to Tal. I'm estimating the best envelope I can give you for departing is about 20 seconds. Anything beyond that and I'm going to be risking Coronado herself. [21:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [21:09] Razor> Well, then, what do *you* suggest? [21:09] ...They just keep coming... ::snaps back to attentiveness long enough to fire phasers at the lead fighter of a formation struggling to disengage from a pair of Banshees:: [21:09] =.\ction= The three Pfhor warships finish emerging from the rift. All three look torn up -- one looks all but smashed in half, in fact -- but all three are fighting, cutting into the Xur carriers. [21:09] Kel> ::steps into Kelaka and looks around at the flight crew assembled:: +taps+ Roger that, Commander. We're about to launch. [21:09] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [21:10] Kel> All hands, make ready to launch. [21:10] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [21:10] =.\ction= The Wraith reaches the tear. A moment later, it disappears inside. The Banshees scatter in every direction. [21:12] [CoroLCARS SOUND] [21:12] Tech> Razor> ::nods slowly:: I'm... sorry, Doctor. But it was the plan. [21:12] ::only lets up on the phasers long enough for Kelaka to leave on an escape course, the other arrays all having barely enough time to recharge before being fired again:: ...There is no f---ing God.
