[18:04] In particular, in the lower aft saucer, decks 5 through 9, there's an enormous open space which is still being rebuilt. [18:04] SUMMARY: Savant and the Captain face up to their past actions. [18:05] The new year has begun, and winter has settled firmly over Churchill Downs and Fisher's Landing. The periodic attacks of the Hunters and Hounds has slowed in recent weeks, thanks mainly to the increasing skill of the planetary militia and their continued training by Coro Marine personnel. The attacks are both less frequent and less successful now. [18:05] Allied starships, meanwhile, have been busy mining the jumping-in positions around the allied systems. Mining these jumping-in points seems to prevent Pfhor incursions. In unmined systems, the story is very different. Pfhor destroyers and troop transports are massing to the "northwest" of Reor, and all most allied ships can do is avoid them. [18:05] In the meantime, there are some hopeful signs. Coronado will soon be ready for action again, and Commander Drexler and the Captain have been working on weapons that should be more effective against the Pfhor than standard Starfleet munitions. However, there is also bad news: a Trill woman from the Captain's past has accused him of conspiracy and murder... [18:05] ack [18:05] <[LJtc_Marcy]> ack [18:05] ack [18:05] ack [18:05] ackety ack! [19:11] <[LJtc_Marcy]> ::nods:: [19:11] There was an investigation as to whether or not the joined Trill had been favoured when those who were chosen to flee in the Colony ship. The colonists never divulged how they chose. [19:11] <[LJHL_Wilk]-W1> ::turns to Serrold.:: Lovely ... At least this time I wont be floating around in nonpressurized space with nothing. ::smiles half heartedly.:: [19:11] ::nods:: Honestly, I have to agree. [19:11] <[1LWL_Serrold]-W1> ::Grimaces and sets the rest of his drink back in the replicator to dispose of it:: [19:11] <[LJDR_Thompson]> CB3>::approaches Commander TIaloco:: Sir, Lieutenant Hammond said something about a viral release into the environmental systems. Lets see what else we can come up with [19:12] <[LJtc_Marcy]> Not at all [19:12] ::finishes the brief summary and leans back into a chair, looking again at the Colonel and drawing the same consluions about the selection of the survivors:: [19:12] <[CROP_Tlaloco]> well, doctor,I am frankly more worried about her than the virus. [19:12] <[CROP_Tlaloco]> What type of danger does this virus pose? [19:12] When the rescue team reached Pa'Zhera, the remainder of the colonists had perished either due to starvation, or a natural toxin on the planet for which there was not enough serum. The 50 symbionts who had not left on the colony ship were found alive, removed from their hosts, and living in ultraprimitive conditions on one of the beaches on the planet. [19:12] perhaps we can simply widen the tube and use more powerful magnetic coils. That system would use more power, but would give the torpedoes a faster starting impulse. Making it bigger doesn't really alter anything... and it means we need more metal, more volume.. [19:13] <[LJDR_Thompson]> From the details I received from Kath, it seems like a strain of Darillian flu. Your immune system is sufficent to resist it. [19:14] Oddly enough, every single surviving host who left the planet died within the next six months, including two Trills named Dosim Kor, and Caitlin Zar. ::lets that sink in for a moment:: You may, or may not have heard, but Caitlin Zar is here, in M64, and she has very recently accused the Captain of some very serious charges.
