After receiving and acknowledging the message Bentall returned to the bridge and began giving orders. The ship is to proceed to Starbase 207 where they are to pick up a passenger. Then they are to proceed to the Badlands as per their previous orders to investigate some odd signals emmenating from the center. Since the receipt of the message, Bentall is in a snarly mood and the crew quickly settled in for the trip to Starbase 207. Upon their arrival, their passenger has boarded and been taken to temporary quarters under heavy guard. Bentall has called a senior crew meeting in the conference lounge so he can go over the orders. [18:52] TorpedoRoom> ::gets off and walks down to hall to find Ensign Ian working diligently:: Ensign? How is the work going? [18:52] Well, we could always give the old Cardassian Union a call. I'm sure they'd be perfectly willing to spare a few ships. ::draws an air of sarcasm:: Oh, that's right, they were idiots and backstabbed the Confederation, which resulted in the essential crippling of them. How forgetful of me [18:52] D10> ::rolls his eyes and moves closer to his double:: I take it they got the same level of cooperation? [18:53] TorpedoRoom> It was going fine so far but it looks like someone's been messing with this torpedo, probably messy finishing up work with it. [18:53] D10> ::laughs:: Less actually. At least I'm talking to you. Why don't you just resign your command and go back to fixing your engines? [18:53] TorpRoom> ::runs a tricorder over the torpedoes:: Excellent work! With the quantum torps at this variance we'll be able to hold more then our own in battle! [18:53] DC>::taps a few buttons:: In the meantime I'm going to make a ship wide announcement. These enhancements are going to temporarily shutdown sensors. I think everyone should know. [18:54] You're too hard on your people, Commander. After all, it was essentially Dukat's lust for redemption and power which brought about the alliance with the Dominion. [18:54] ::spits the name:: Dukat. The worst thing that happened to our race. [18:54] DC> ::shrugs:: Suit yourself... I'll continue working. [18:54] D10> ::anger grows with each word:: I wish I could but thanks to low lifes such as you I have no choice. ::moves within a couple of feet of his double and stares eye to eye:: [18:54] TorpRoom> ::looks over the torpedo:: Well I am sure the Starbase crew was under some tense time restraints to get us out of spacedock so quickly...you know? [18:55] ToprRoom> Yeah. ::closes the casing:: 12=.\ction= The mirror double suddenly strikes out and knocks the wind out of Bentall. He then clubs Bentall over the head and knocks him senseless. [18:55] DC> +allcall+ This is Chief Engineer TPrax to all decks. Due to our updating the deflector's systems at this time, your station may or may not announce a loss of sensors. This is only temporary. Once the new programs have been completed and set up, sensors will come back online. Hoever, this will not effect visual sensors. [18:55] TorpRoom> The guard has been changed on deck 10...I'll be on the bridge if you need anything else [18:55] Not beloved by the Federation, either. [18:55] D10> ::slumps onto the couch and makes no noise for the security to hear:: [18:56] D10> That was to easy. ::moves to change clothing with Bentall:: [18:56] Worst traitor to the Cardassian people if there ever was one. So damned obsessed with revenge against Sisko. You know, Prophets or no Prophets, I think we'd all have been better off it they'd both just offed each other. Then neither one would stir up trouble and Damar would be leader. [18:56] TorpRoom> Okay. [18:56] ME> ::wins all the engineers credits, starts another diagonsic, and then leaves engineering:; [18:56] TorpRoom> ::winces at the allcall and exits the Torp room:: [18:56] Then again, Damar wasn't really a good leader until he killed Ziyal, which made him change...::sighs:: so much wrong with my race. [18:57] TL> ::enters turbolift:: Bridge! [18:57] *> ::randomly walks around decks checking counsels and acting productive:: [18:57] So much I wish I could change. But now, here I am ::chuckles ruefully:: on a Confederation starship, trying to hunt down people from a mirror universe. [18:57] *** Parts: ObsMasters (wisher1126@Star5687.ipt.aol.com) [18:57] TorpRoom> :;shakes her head at the announcement:: [18:57] ::looks Ironside in the eye:: And am I really doing anything for them? [18:57] DC>::turns to the professor:: How are the programs coming? [18:58] ::walks to the tactical station and looks over the progress:: [18:58] ::pulls on Bentall's Uniform and places his on Bentall, puts Bentall on the couch to sleep off the hit:: [18:58] ::turns his head to look at Dejat:: But so much right as well. The war would not have ended so swiftly had the Cardassian fleet not turned again. I've fought alongside Cardsassians as well, and I have yet to meet one who ever shows any bit of fear. [18:58] ::enters the bridge:: good morning people... [18:58] DC> Almost online. Remind me to fix that Savant interface some time... it would be helpful for this sort of menial task. I'm hoping to add several new Emergency holograms. [18:59] ::allows a half-grin back onto his face:: Yes, I suppose that's true. We do have some redeeming qualities, once you get passed our arrogance, hard-headedness, and inherent deceptiveness. You know, Major, my people hold family as the most important thing. [18:59] Even Damar had a son. Hell, even Dukat had a son. In order to capture the true essence of a Science Officer, the program would be enormous! [19:02] ::smiles:: At ease Ensign. ::steps down to his chair and looks over the ship's status to clue himself into her current orders:: Time to destination? ::looks at Daren and nods:: Everything I needed and then some Ensign. [19:02] ::chuckles:: Like any Cardassian, Major. To have a family. [19:02] <> [19:03] ::looks across to his console, then back at Bentall:: Another two days or so, sir. [19:03] ::grins and returns his eyes to the data:: Perhaps we ought to have the Captain find an assignment for the vessel which happens by Cardassia prime.
