[18:04] ::golf clap:: [18:04] ::wakes up:: [18:04] ::takes his bows:: Thank you, thank you. 12=Sim Briefing!= Please type "ack" after you've read it... 12Stardate 240002.07: "Grand Theft Starship" Part 2 , by Alffred. 12SUMMARY: The theft of a legendary starship starts an incredible mission of recovery. [18:04] ::looks into Aurel's deep blue eyes:: 12Someone has stolen the Starship Voyager. The legendary ship, that survived the lengthy trip crossing the Delta Quadrant, had been acting as a living history lesson to school aged children across the Alpha Quadrant. Though her technology is somewhat aged, she can still pack a punch and in the wrong hands can cause signifigant damage. 12Back on the Coronado the war games have come to an end. Phase one of the games were a disaster, while phase two was much more succesful. While spending a day of rest before shipping out, Commander Bentall was awoken by a transmission from Admiral Janeway, the legendary former Captain of the USS Voyager. She has ordred the Coronado to the Utopia Planitia. 12Upon arriving at the Planitia they were joined by Admiral Janeway who presented the senior crew with the problem and a few of the facts surrounding the case. Major Ironside began the investigation to the obvious security breach while Lieutenant's T'Prax and Dejat began tracing Voyager's trail through space. 12The Lieutenant's have been succesful and the Coronado now awaits the completion of the investigation before they begin the task of chasing Voyager and bringing her home. One at a time and serious questions only please. [18:05] ::raises hand:: [18:05] We pick up right from where we were, right? [18:05] Professor? [18:06] Yes Mr. Dejat. [18:06] For the benefit of those not here last time, is Admiral Janeway still on the Coro? [18:06] No. She left shortly after giving us our orders. (Thank god huh? :) ) [18:06] ::nods:: [18:06] ::nods:: [18:06] <> [18:06] Alrighty then... Anything else? [18:07] Good work Mr. Dejat. [18:07] ::leans back, looking down at the glowing warp trail on his console:: Thank you, sir [18:07] ::looks over at Lisbon:: Exec, can you get a status report from Ironside please. [18:07] 7> ::polishes down the bar:: [18:08] ::looks at Dejat:: That's the best I can do on the sensors. i'm going to Engineering to work on the shields and weapons. I could use some help if you are able to spare any. [18:08] +taps+ Bentall to T'Prax and Ragarok [18:08] Science Lab> Hmm, time for me to go on duty... my experiment with the subspace gerbils will have to wait [18:08] ::smiles, looking over at his panel at the trail, seeing where it has gone:: [18:08] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::in in the turbolift to the Station Masters Office:: [18:08] SL> +taps+ Here, captain [18:08] ::turns to Bentall:: I am right here sir. [18:08] ::nods and lokos to Bentall for confirmation that he can leave the bridge:: [18:09] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::looks around at the view:: [18:09] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::rings the chime to Commander's Office:: [18:09] ::turns to face T'Prax:: Sorry Lieutenant I must have missed you. Mr. Dejat I need you here for the time being. +taps+ Professor could you please report to the bridge. [18:09] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::follows closely behind Daren and Ian:: [18:09] ::nods:: Very well sir. [18:10] <[CDtc_Daren]> Station Master> Enter! [18:10] SL> ::nods, even though it would be impossible for Bentall to see it before heading out:: [18:10] ::nods to Bentall and then turns to Dejat:: Maybe next friend. [18:10] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::purses his lips and frowns as he continues his search through the logs of the officers onboard the Voyager:: [18:10] ::exits onto the bridge:: [18:10] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::walks in:: Good Day Commander, I'm Cadet William Daren from the Coronado. Id like to ask you a few questions about the incident here. [18:10] ::glances around, making observations of the crew:: [18:10] ::turns back around and begins to calculate possible trajectories and course destinations, based on the warp trail:: [18:11] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::sighs and rubs his neck, contemplating being back in his Spectre instead of helping cadets track down some would-be criminals:: [18:11] Ahh. Professor. Exec you have hte bridge. ::heads to the conference lounge with a head shake indicating Dejat, T'Prax and the Professor should follow him.:: [18:11] <[CDtc_Daren]> Excuse me just a minute sir [18:11] ::follows Dejat and Bentall:: [18:11] ::secures his stations and follows the CO:: [18:11] ::follows into the conference lounge after taking a glance at the science console:: [18:11] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::opens up a rather lengthy log and proceeds to watch the entire thing:: [18:11] <[CDtc_Daren]> +Tap+ Daren to Ian, See what you can do about investgating the are where the Voyager was docked. I'll join y ou shortly. [18:12] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::opens her mind:: [18:12] ::nods to Bentall as he leaves, yawning:: [18:12] CR> ::sits down and indicates they should do likewise:: [18:12] CR>::sits in his usual place:: [18:12] CR> ::flops down into a random spot:: [18:12] <[CDtc_Ian]> +tap+ Right. ::heads back to where the Voyager was docked:: [18:12] *> ::leaves the bar to one of his waiters, heading for a turbolift:: [18:12] <[L1CC_Lane]> <> [18:13] CR> Mr. Dejat. How long will we be able to follow Voyager's trail? ::getting right down to business:: [18:13] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::idlely punches stuff into her terminal:: [18:13] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::spins about and follows after Cadet Ian, a sour look upon his face:: [18:13] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::turns to the Commander:: Now Sir, when Voyager docked here on Stardate 240001.26 was there anything unusual taking place on the station? [18:13] CR> ::turns the seat towards Bentall:: Normally, after this much decay, I'd give you another twelve hours, maybe thirteen. But with the boost from our modifications and my programs, I'd double that. [18:13] ::stands and walks around the bridge, looking obnoxiously over everyone's shoulder as they work:: [18:13] CR>::nods his agreement to Dejat's statement:: [18:14] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::shakes his head upon finishing the log and placing it in the 'not relavent' directory before looking over towards Oswald:: Problems, Cadet? [18:14] ::steps onto the Bridge and looks around, not dressed in uniform:: [18:14] <[CDtc_Daren]> StationMaster> ::thinks:: Not that I can recall. I'll furnish you with Security Logs if you'd like. [18:14] <[CDtc_Daren]> I would like that sir. [18:14] * Savant` appears as a small supernova of light to one side of the bridge [18:14] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glances at Ian:: So, Cadet, what is it that you're looking for, specifically? [18:14] CR> ::looks lost in thought:: [18:15] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::looks at Ironside:: nope... I could probably be tell you every tiny thing that went through this hallway for the last month.. [18:15] <[CDtc_Daren]> I think the only other think you can help me with sir are the names of the crewmen that were responsible for the ship while it was docked here. [18:15] <[LMMC_Ironside]> What about the day Voyager was stolen. What went through this hallway that day? [18:15] ::looks around absently, checking out a couple of consoles:: [18:15] <[Cdten_Oswald]> few odd crewmen... [18:16] CR> ::nods:: Good. Good work Lieutenant's. Mr. Dejat, I'd like you to report to Major Ironside over at the Planitia. He will have your orders as I do not want to give them to you here. But before you go I'd like you to offer some input on my next suggestion. Lieutenant T'Prax and Professor I need you two to put aside your differences and work on ways that we can get Voyager shields and warp drive off line without causing permanent damage. [18:16] <[CDtc_Daren]> StationMaster> ::nods:: Lieutenants McHale and Hugh were running routine maintenace from the station. They were in closest contact with the ship. [18:16] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::looks back over his shoulder to realize that Cadet Ian has appearantly made a wrong turn. The cadet is nowhere to be seen:: [18:16] CR> ::smirks:: Hack, sir. [18:16] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::nods:: Thank you for your time, Sir. I will make sure you are kept up to date on the Investigation. [18:16] <[Cdten_Oswald]> also some school class was suppose to come, but they never showed... [18:16] CR> ::snaps into reality for a second:: Differences? What differences? Well, we are two different species, and he's a little taller... but nothing we can't work out [18:17] CR>::looks at Bentall:: That sir will be no problem. I will have to modify the phasers, but it can be done. [18:17] <[CDtc_Daren]> StationMaster> ::nods:: [18:17] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::shakes his head and continues on his way to the Voyager docking area:: [18:17] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::turns and exits the office, enters the lift:: Starship Level! [18:17] CR> need not bother the good professor. the EEH is equipped to help me if I need it. [18:17] CR> Deactivating the warp drive shouldn't be a problem... just need to come up with the right particle. [18:18] CR> ::ignoring Prax:: [18:18] Mmhmm. ::gets a momentary agitated look from the junior officer he's looking over, but the officer turns back to his work:: [18:18] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::shrugs and goes back to punching in stuff at the terminal:: [18:18] <[CDtc_Daren]> +Tap+ Daren to Ian, I'm on my way to the Level 7, Secton B where the Voyager was docked. (Yes I know she's not here, hehe) [18:18] ::chuckles a moment at the Professors comment:: Sorry Lieutenant. The Professor will be leading this team. I want you both to work out every angle and have plans ready for anything. Any thoughts on this Mr. Dejat? [18:18] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::arrives at the Voyager Docking area and meets Lane and Ian there:: [18:18] CR> ::looks at the other two:: Oh, but there's no real fun in firing phasers. It's far more entertaining to hack our way in and remotely take control of their vessel. [18:18] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::frowns:: Well....that's interesting. See what happened to them. [18:18] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::steps up to the giant viewport on Level 7, Section B, awaiting Ian to arrive:: [18:19] ::goes up to Lisbon:: You're quite the micromanager, aren't you? [18:19] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::mutters something under her breath:: [18:19] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::finally makes it:: [18:19] CR> ::grins at Dejat:: Oh, you've done it too? [18:19] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::to Lane::Good to see you Sir [18:19] CR> ::smirks at Ragarok:: I've...been called upon to do it on occasion, yes. [18:19] ::rolls his eyes at the comments being flung around at his expense:: [18:19] <[LMMC_Ironside]> What was that, Cadet? [18:19] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glances back as Daren and Ian walk in:: What have you got, Cadets? [18:19] <[L1CC_Lane]> Anything new? [18:20] ::nods to Dalton:: I try my best. [18:20] ::continues his rounds, his hands behind his back:: [18:20] <[Cdten_Oswald]> I just said that the school group probably got eatten by the giant octapus that lives the next sector over [18:20] <[CDtc_Daren]> We'ew looking for Lieutenants Hugh and McHale, They worked in this section [18:20] CR> That may be a better idea, sir... no fuss, no muss [18:20] ::follows Lisbon rather closely:: [18:20] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::smirks slightly and looks back at his own screen, continuing to read the logs:: That's hardly constructive. [18:20] CR> ::glances at T'Prax and the professor determined to get them working as a team:: Ok then. Dismissed. Mr. Dejat, a moment before you go. [18:20] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::hears something:: ouch. [18:21] <[CDtc_Daren]> According to the Station Master they had direct responsibilty for the Voyagers docking and overlooked maintenace schedules [18:21] CR> ::nods and stays:: [18:21] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods to Daren:: Well, that's something... what is it, Ian? [18:21] CR> ::cracks his knuckles:: It's been a long time since I've hacked into a Federation vessel... ::walks out calmly:: [18:21] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::walks to a nearby panel:: Computer, Locate Lieutenants Hugh and McHale [18:21] CR>::stands and walks out the back way, which is the quickest way to Engineering:: [18:21] * Savant` flickers somewhat [18:22] ::looks at Savant:: Bless you [18:22] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::puts hand to hear:: Someone dropped something. [18:22] <[CDtc_Daren]> Computer> Lieutenants McHale and Hugh are on Deck 7 Section C. [18:22] CR> ::waits for the two other men to leave:: Lieutenant. How familiar are you with the Planitia's computer systems? [18:22] *> :: enters turbolift :: Engineering. [18:22] ::takes the long way to engineering:: [18:22] ::spins around, the scabbard at his side hitting Dalton in the leg as he turns:: Aesir Lisbon. ::offers his hand:: [18:22] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::turns:: Thats down the hall... [18:22] CR> Ah...::seems to hesitate a bit, a jumble of emotions flickering across his face::...I know how they operate. [18:22] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::raises an eyebrow:: Who dropped what where? [18:22] pardon me, sir... it appears my projectors are having problems [18:22] E> ::enters Engineering, and heads straight to his office, locking the door so that he can think to himself:: [18:22] ::looks at the hand oddly, then remembers:: Ohh ... right. [18:22] <[CDtc_Ian]> sounded liek a tool in that direction::points down the hall:: [18:23] ::shakes the hand loosely:: Dalton. [18:23] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::looks over to Ironside:: do you want the long version of their story or the short? [18:23] EO> Computer: Activate the EEH. [18:23] EEH> ::appreas in a ball of light:: [18:23] <[LMMC_Ironside]> Short, if you would. [18:23] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods to the Cadets:: Section C... let's go check it out. [18:23] <[CDtc_Daren]> That's got to be them. Lets stay calm and try to get some answers from them [18:23] <[Cdten_Oswald]> they got delayed... [18:23] ::frowns at the hologram:: Do you mind? We're being introduced here. [18:23] CR> ::smiles:: A little more details please. Anything you say to me here stays between you and me. I have suspected for some time you have abilities beyond those you use daily. [18:23] E>::arrives in Engineering finally, looking around for Prax:: [18:23] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::nods her head:: [18:23] ::nods to Savant, dropping Dalton's hand almost immediately:: :: You're quite the program, you know that? :;watches her disappear:: [18:24] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::moves forward with purpose and determination, finally feeling like things might be looking up in this investigation:: [18:24] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::bites his lower lip, then nods:: Makes sense....no matter who took this ship, they doubtless did not want children onboard when they hijacked her. [18:24] EO> Savant: I want you to begin running some simulations on how we can adjust the phasers to punch through shields and deactivate warp and weapons on Voayger. [18:24] CR> With all due respect, sir, I believe that...it would be inappropriate to explain. [18:24] ::rolls his eyes:: Really, Mr. Lisbon ... can't you get the programmers to come over here and fix Savvy? [18:24] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glances at the Cadets:: You wanna handle the interview? Or should I? [18:24] <[Cdten_Oswald]> yea... kids always mess those good plots up... [18:24] eeh> ::Stands there nervously:: Uh, then you want the General Purpose program, sir. [18:25] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh and McHale> ::working diligently in the nearby corridor:: [18:25] ::turns to Dalton:: Hrm. [18:25] CR> ::nods:: Understood. I would like you to do me a favour. If somthing comes up that you can help us out with I want you to do it and let me know afterwards. Any problems with that? [18:25] EEH> I'll go fetch it. . . ::disappears:: [18:25] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::smirks at Oswald, then looks back at his own console:: It's a worthy lead, Cadet. If we can find out who caused the delay, we can find another conspirator. [18:25] E> ::wanders out, heading back for the science lab:: Maybe he didn't come in here... [18:25] * Savant` reappears with a bang, in Engineering [18:25] CR> ::inclines his head a bit:: What, exactly, did you have in mind? [18:25] Well, at least the EMH isn't going to make an appearance. [18:25] EO>::sees Ragnarok looking for him, but knows that his office is locked:: [18:25] <[CDtc_Ian]> You can do it. I'll signal if they act suspicious. [18:25] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods and lays a hand on his phaser as they approach the two lieutenants:: Excuse me, lieutenants.... [18:26] ::smiles:: beginning simulations, Sir. [18:26] ::looks at Lisbon:: Yes ... the hologram's programming has been off-kilter for quite a while. Surely its programmers can come here and repair it? We are near Utopia Planetia. [18:26] EO> Thank you Mr. Savant. [18:26] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hale> ::turns surprised:: Yes...uh Sir? [18:26] * Savant` nods serenely [18:26] CR> Nothing specific really. Just more for future problems per se. As for the current situation, well, as I indicated earlier Major Ironside has your orders. I suggest you go meet up with him. [18:26] I don't think we're going to be for long, but I don't see why they can't make a visit. [18:26] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::looks on curiously, stops workingLL [18:26] SL> ::enters the science lab:: Lemme see... how did I do this back on the Kalen... [18:26] <[Cdten_Oswald]> you'd have to send all the way back to... ::checks her counsel::.. Earth for that info... [18:26] ::nods:: I'm sure Savant ... and all the rest of us ... would appreciate it. [18:27] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods:: Yeah, Forest Lane, U.S.S. Coronado; can I ask you boys a few questions? [18:27] <[Cdten_Oswald]> even just to find out what exactly the problem was... [18:27] SL> The command codes... Erie'Riov Raith had the SSS command codes... [18:27] <[LMMC_Ironside]> Allright....::logs the possible lead and finishes separating the logs of the crew into relavent and non-relavent folders based upon date, topic, and tone:: [18:27] CR> ::nods:: I'll...make my services available when they are required. [18:27] SL> +taps+ Ragarok to Bentall, any chance we have the Voyager's command codes? [18:28] ::blinks:: Lieutenant T'Prax, phasers are performing at maximum efficiency. [18:28] EO> ::begins looking over his notes he made of Kirk's 2286 mission, where the original Enterprise was lost:: This should help give me an idea. [18:28] <[Cdten_Oswald]> you want me to send back to Earth for it? [18:28] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glances over at Ian:: [18:28] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> Sure you can [18:28] CR> ::smiles:: Dismissed Lieutenant. Good Luck. +taps+ Not as yet Professor. I've got people working on it. [18:28] EO> ::turns to Savant:: Take this PADD, and use it to set up the phasers to do the exact same job. [18:28] ::walks over to his console and types out a quick letter:: [18:29] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::Turns back to the lieutenants:: Well, word has it that you two were responsible for Voyager. You know anything at all about her theft? [18:29] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::puts some tools away:: [18:29] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::tips her head in Hale's direction:: [18:29] SL> +taps+ Tell me when you do, I can use simple carrier waves to access the ship from here, meanwhile, I'll work on a backup plan. [18:29] * Savant` looks at the padd, and blinks, and replies:: the changes are complete, Sir ^_^ [18:29] <[L1CC_Lane]> Specifically, who might have had access to the ship... [18:29] +taps+ Will do Professor. ::rises and returns to the bridge:: Status Exec? [18:29] ::exits the CR and enters into a waiting TL:: Transporter room. [18:29] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::looks in McHale's direction:: Anyone at all? [18:29] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::raises an eyebrow:: [18:30] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::taken aback:: Yeah...we were taking care of some tune ups here on the station and well, the next thing we know the Atmospheric Alarm is going off [18:30] EO> +taps+ TPrax to Bentall. [18:30] ::looks at Bentall with a rather displeased mien:: [18:30] I just sent a letter to Utopia requesting a technician for Savant. [18:30] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::frowns slightly, noting that all the logs which seem to have relavent information to the hijacking of the Voyager are from a single half of the crew:: [18:30] ::stands:: No word from the investigation as of yet. [18:30] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> Yeah someone must have gotten past us and disengaged the docking protocols [18:30] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::folds his arms:: Atmospheric alarms? [18:30] ::glances at Dalton with a questionning look:: +taps+ Go ahead Lieutenant [18:30] ::nods at Lisbon:: Good call Exec. [18:31] <[L1CC_Lane]> Who could have gotten past you? Any ideas, any at all? [18:31] SL> Hrm... I could bombard Voyager with Hyperon particles, that would knock at transporters but could interact dangerously with a warp field... [18:31] EO> +taps+ Sir, The chances of us using the Command prefix codes is out of the question. There is a good probablity that wohever took Voyager changed that too. [18:31] TR> ::arrives and steps into one of the discs:: Energize. ::demat/remat:: [18:31] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> ::nods:: Whoever took the Voyager out of the station didn't close the airlock on this side and Hugh and I almost got sucked out into space... [18:31] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> Luckily we got to the override in time... [18:31] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::frowns:: Hmm... [18:31] ::crosses his arms:: It WAS my suggestion. [18:31] :smiles and steeples her hands together:: if that's all, Sir. . . [18:32] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glances back at Ian and mouths the word "anything?":: [18:32] EO> ::nods to Savant:: Thank you. [18:32] +taps+ As I said Lieutenant I have people working on that. This is just a backup plan. WHat ever you and the Professor come up with is our main plan. [18:32] <[CDtc_Ian]> :;shakes her head:: [18:32] I'll go welcome the technician. ::nods and turns to the turbolift:: [18:32] ::looks at Dalton:: Sorry? What was? [18:32] EO> ::reluctantly:: Aye sir, TPrax out. [18:32] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::materializes within Planitia:: +taps+ Dejat to Ironside. Captain Bentall instructed me to rendezvous with you. It might help if I knew where, exactly, you were. [18:32] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::turns back towards the two:: You're avoiding the question, though. WHO could have gained access to Voyager without you boys knowing? [18:33] * Savant` disappears with a flash and a bang, and re-appears on the Bridge with the same effects [18:33] Savant. ::calls the floating form over to the turbolift:: [18:33] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::calls out around the corner of a corridor, hearing Dejat both over the communications system, and by his own ears:: Over here, Lieutenant. [18:33] * Savant` floats over to the lift:: sir? [18:33] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> Well we heard uhm things about some Federation imposters on the station but uhm we paid it no mind [18:33] EO> ::taps the remaining notes, and runs an additional 3 simulations, getting the same result each time:: This is satisfactory work. +taps+ TPrax to Ragarok: Meet me on the bridge please, TPrax out. [18:33] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> I am sure it was just stories...yeah [18:33] ::frowns at Bentall:: Asking for a technician for Savant. I never get credit for anything around here. [18:33] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::steps over to the corridor:: Ah, hello Major. [18:33] We have a maintenance official coming from Utopia to fix whatever... ::watches her flicker:: That is. [18:34] ::sighs:: It's a good thing I've asked to be put on my extended leave of absence once again. [18:34] SL> ::looks surprised:: +taps+ Acknowledged... ::exits quickly:: [18:34] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::nods:: Mr. Dejat, good...::transfers his findings to the Coronado for further review, then glances at Oswald over his shoulder:: Lightbody, keep an eye on Cadet Oswald here. Mr. Dejat, let's take a walk. [18:34] <[Cdten_Oswald]> :;waves to Dejat:: [18:34] certainly, Sir, i look forward to the maintenance ^_^ [18:34] ::grins:: My apologies Mr. Dalton. Had I known I would have said the same to you. [18:34] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::nods, clasping his hands behind his back after waving back to Oswald:: [18:34] TL> ::enters turbolift:: Bridge [18:34] Main Computer. [18:34] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::heaves a sigh:: So, you're telling me that there were rumors of some sort of infiltrators aboard the station, and you did not report it? And that these same people might have been connected with the theft of that piece of junk that we're all looking for now? [18:34] <[L1CC_Lane]> Is that what you're telling me? [18:35] ::exits onto the bridge:: Captain? [18:35] ::shrugs at Bentall, clearly not appreciating his apology:: [18:35] So... who is your creator? [18:35] ::exits onto the bridge shortly after Prax:: What is it, Lieutenant? [18:35] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::drops something on the corridor and quickly picks it up:: [18:35] TL> [18:35] ::motions for Ragarok to wait:: [18:35] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> ::tries to cover the drop:: Well we hear that all the time [18:35] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::glares at Hugh:: [18:35] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::moves away from the main gangway and begins the trek towards some of the more central spaces of Planitia:: Lieutenant, when we do catch Voyager, we are going to need to seize control of her systems with the least possible trouble, and the least possible threat to the hostages... [18:35] ::looks at Ragarok and gives him a half-smile:: [18:35] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::scowls:: ALL the time? [18:35] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::begins chatting with the marine as soon as Ironside and Dejat are out of sight and hearing range:: [18:35] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::smiles, then cringes:: [18:36] Mr. Dalton, please keep in mind that I'm not used to commanding a starship, let alone one with a civillian component aboard. [18:36] <[L1CC_Lane]> What was that you dropped there, Mr. Hugh? [18:36] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> :nods:: Yeah you know...crazy aliens [18:36] ::looks at Bentall and nods:: Yes, I know. [18:36] ::waits for Prax to say something, obviously itching to ask something:: [18:36] ::waits for Bentall to finish with Dalton:: [18:36] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::looks across at Ironside as the two walk:: I suggested to the Captain hacking into the systems to do this and remotely taking control of the ship. [18:36] ::motions at Bentall to T'Prax:: By all means, go ahead. [18:36] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::looks up:: Just this damn calibrating hydrometer [18:36] ::steps out of the turbolift and begins walking to the main computer lab/maintenance bay:: [18:36] <[L1CC_Lane]> Crazy aliens? ::scoffs:: Please don't insult my intelligence. ::moves with lightening reflexes and siezes Hugh's wrist:: [18:37] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::quickly closes his tool box:: [18:37] So I will apologize when I make a mistake and I would appreciate an acknowledgment of my apology. ::turns to face T'Prax:: Yes Lieutenant? [18:37] * Savant` floats serenely.. a holographic padd flashes to life in front of her, which she ponders. [18:37] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> Hey, whats going on? [18:37] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::nods:: Hacking is a viable option, but it allows the hijackers the chance to counterattack. Especially if any of them, and pardon me for even suggesting this, are of your infiltration calibre. [18:37] Captain: I believe I have found the solution you seek. ::points to his Bentall's ready room:: [18:37] ::begins to roll his eyes, but stops, then just turns around to look at a console behind him:: [18:37] <[L1CC_Lane]> As for THIS... ::pries Hugh's fingers apart:: ... I don't take kindly to being lied to. [18:37] ::taps his foot, already having judged Prax's plan:: [18:37] <[L1CC_Lane]> What is this? Some sort of weapon? A communicator? [18:37] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> H-Hey... [18:38] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::smirks:: No need to pardon, Major. But, and I don't mean to sound arrogant, I don't think we'll have that problem. Only another former Obsidian Order agent can stop another. [18:38] Lab> ::walks into the bay, seeing the technician with the Utopia collar badge:: Lieutenant... ::gestures to Savant:: Savant. [18:38] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> Those are... [18:38] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::flexes his hard, muscular frame:: I may be a grunt, but I'm nt stupid. [18:38] * Savant` nods serenely with a smile [18:38] What have you got Lieutenant ::sits down in his command chair deciding the bridge is fine for this:: [18:38] Lab> Tech> ::nods:: Version? [18:38] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::Glances at Daren and Ian:: Find out what this device is. [18:38] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::touches her phaser:: [18:39] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::forces Hugh to drop the device:: [18:39] ::sighs and continues:: Do you remeber the mission where the original Enterprise was lost? [18:39] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::takes the device:: [18:39] The latest, of course, Sir ^_^ [18:39] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::scans it with his tricorder:: I'm guessing its a communicator [18:39] Tech> ::makes a couple notes:: Diagnostic efficiency? [18:39] ::frowns, butting into the conversation:: No, I don't [18:39] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::stops at a larger console in a low-traffic corridor:: Regardless, the Captain would rather it be done using the command codes. Now it stands to reason that the hijackers have allready changed Voyager's command codes, which is why I need you to gain access Starfleet's registry database and locate Voyager's original, hard coded command codes which are locked into the physical components of the ship. [18:39] ::walks over to the large monitor displaying the computer innards on a diagram:: [18:40] one hundred per-cent, with a standard deviation of zero point five [18:40] <[CDtc_Daren]> Wait a minute...but the transmission matrix has collapsed. He must have sabotaged it so we can't use it to trace the Voyager's location, [18:40] ::stares at T'Prax:: Not very much, no. It's been a long time since the academy. Refresh my memory. [18:40] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh and McHale> ::take off running down the corridor:: [18:40] ::taps on a console, looking for someone's location, then steps into the 'lift:: Lab. [18:40] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::stops as well:: I see...::seems to be considering something:: [18:40] Tech> ::nods:: Seems to me your holographic projection coding has some small imperfections. Were you damaged? [18:40] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::shouts:: DAMMIT! GET BACK HERE! [18:41] <[CDtc_Daren]> They're getting away... ::pulls his phaser:: [18:41] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::takes off at a dead sprint:: [18:41] Computer> Please specify: Geology Lab. Computer Lab. Science Lab 1. Science Lab 2. Marine Biology Lab. [18:41] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::follows:: [18:41] Stupid computer, just take me to Savant's current location. [18:41] i'm unsure, Sir ^_^ i believe that there may have been some data corruption. [18:41] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::pulls her phaser and follows after them:: [18:41] <[CDtc_Daren]> Mchale and Hugh> ::take refuge in a nearby equipment bay:: [18:41] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::looks over his shoulder:: Needless to say, the registry database with this sort of information is possibly the most heavily guarded file in Starfleet. [18:41] <[L1CC_Lane]> To hell with phasers! ::speeds up, beginning to overtake the slower of the two:: [18:41] ::nods:: In 2286, Adm. Kirk wen to the Genesis planet, which was forbidden at the time. While in orbit, a Klingon brid-of-prey made it's presence known, and fired a single disruptor shot at an engine on the Enterprise. This shot effectively cut all power on the ship, except for emergency power. [18:41] Tech> ::nods:: That's what it looks like here, too. Can you locate it? [18:41] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::scans with his tricorder:: [18:41] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::stops and glances around:: Where'd they go? [18:42] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::to Lane:: They're over this direction, somewhere... [18:42] You might try data bus 22719 of my main routines, Sir ^_^ [18:42] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::nods absently, still seeming lost:: [18:42] <[CDtc_Daren]> They dropped their combadges back in section C [18:42] ::recalls the event more clearly:: If my memory serves wasn't the Enterprise already severly damaged from the battle with Kahn? [18:42] ::stops Prax before he continues:: And this was the mission where this ship was lost, correct? Meaning the ship was damaged in the process? [18:42] ::glances at the monitor as it displays that routine:: Yeah, look at that. [18:42] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::whips out his phaser:: Life signs? [18:42] Now, using this as a template, I have modified the phaser, to punch through Voyager's shields, and effectively shut down power to warp and weapons, and any other system that may need to be shut down. [18:42] <[CDtc_Ian]> ::looks around, listening:: [18:42] Tech> ::turns to monitor and analyzes it:: Hmm. [18:42] ::exits and walks up to Savant and Lisbon:: [18:42] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh and McHale> ::pull out small pills:: [18:42] Are you finally fixing Savant? Good, I'm glad to hear it. [18:42] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::scans frantically:: [18:43] I may not like the hologram that much, but I must admit it works a lot better when ... well, it's working properly. [18:43] <[CDtc_Daren]> McHale> ::ingests the pills:: [18:43] As you can see, sir, I've efected repairs in all areas i'm able to. [18:43] <[CDtc_Ian]> Up ahead and to the right [18:43] ::sighs, used to having people around him of non- genius caliber:: [18:43] <[CDtc_Daren]> They're in the equipment Bay! [18:43] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::moves toward an equipment room nearby:: Here? [18:43] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::turns to Ironside, a determinedness returning to his features:: Back on the ship, the Captain asked me to help in any way I could should a situation arise where my...background may come in handy. Therefore, I believe that what I tell you will help. I already have that information. [18:43] Tech> ::nods to Dalton, then regards te monitor:: There are still some problems that I can see. [18:43] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::opens his mouth to take the pill....:: [18:43] <[CDtc_Daren]> Yes THERE! [18:43] ::ignores the Professor and waits for T'Prax to explain:: [18:43] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::blinks:: I'm sorry? [18:43] yes Sir, in my protected memory segments [18:43] ::nods to the technician:: Looks like the subroutines for projection vectors. [18:43] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::enters the room in time to see Hugh prepare the pill:: Oh, hell NO! [18:43] <[CDtc_Daren]> Mchale> ::collapses dead on the floor:: [18:43] ::to the Tech:: Well, can't you repair it? [18:44] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::fires his phaser at Hugh:: [18:44] <[CDtc_Daren]> Hugh> ::grumbles and falls to the floor stunned:: [18:44] ::waits for Bentall's acknowledgement:: <> [18:44] <[CDtc_Daren]> Looks like we've got our inside guys [18:44] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::rushes over to the man's side:: [18:44] Tech> ::nods:: It appears that way. It shouldn't take too long. [18:44] <[L1CC_Lane]> Scan him. Make sure he's still alive. [18:44] thank you Sir ^_^ [18:44] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::scans:: Life-signs are stable [18:45] Explain how that will work without damaging the ship Lieutenant? You must remeber the Enterprise was already severly damaged. [18:45] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::leans on the wall, knowing he could get in a very large amount of trouble for admitting this:: One of the first things I did when I came to Earth was assess the database weaknesses and strengths of the Starfleet computer systems. Some were very resilient. Some weren't. The registry database was one of the most difficult, but it didn't take more than five or six weeks to break in. [18:45] <[CDtc_Daren]> But the other is dead [18:45] <[LTHL_Dejat]> I recorded all of that information. I always record what I retrieve, on the chance it may be useful later. [18:45] Tech> ::sits down and goes over the data and runs an error scan, then overlays the original program to those errors and ascerns the repairability of each byte:: [18:45] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods:: Let's get this man back to the ship. He could prove useful. [18:45] <[CDtc_Daren]> The captain and station master are gonna want to know about these two [18:46] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::takes a deep breath in and crosses his arms:: You do realize that if Starfleet ever found out, you wouldn't even go to trial.... [18:46] ::looks at Savant:: I hope you appreciate what we're doing for you. [18:46] <[L1CC_Lane]> +taps+ Lane to Coronado - two to beam directly to sickbay. [18:46] Tech> I predict 99.45% repairability... there are a few spaces though. Perhaps a defragmentation is in order. [18:46] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::nods:: Take care of that other one and see that they get reported. [18:46] ::to the Tech:: Yes yes, just do it. [18:46] ::sighs:: As you already know, The Coronado's level of technology is superior to that of what exists on Voyager. So in that effect, our weapons are much more effective then Voyager's. So it will not pose a problem. [18:46] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::turns to Ian:: Care to accompnay me to the Station Master's Office? [18:46] How sure are you Lieutenant? 12=.\ction= Four hours go by and the investigation begins drawing to a close.. [18:46] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::leans over the stunned conspirator's body:: [18:46] ::Turns to the Professor:: If you remember professor, Kirk blew the ship up to keep it from falling into Klingon hands. [18:46] my next scheduled defrag is in order in one week two days thirteen hours, Sir. [18:47] Tech> After that, I'll give Savant a new subroutine that will assist in performing self-repairs. [18:47] <[CDtc_Ian]> sure. [18:47] ::nods:: Sir, I am Half-Vulcan, I do my best to assure my results. [18:47] <[CDtc_Daren]> ::takes the quickie route to Operations:: [18:47] Err, no I don't, I never attended Starfleet academy. Would you like to hear my suggestion? [18:47] <[L1CC_Lane]> ::walks out out of sickbay with no more information than he had four hours earlier:: [18:47] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::nods:: Which is why I'm telling you. ::looks up into Ironside's eyes:: Despite our difference, I've grown to trust you while we've been on the Coronado together, Major. Something I don't do easily or quickly. The last person I trusted died in front of me. So if I lay my life in your hands, it's because I've found the ability to trust again. ::seems to be extremely close to tears:: [18:47] +com+ Coronado to all Away teams. Prepare to beam back to the ship. All senior officers report to the bridge. [18:47] <[CDtc_Daren]> StationMaster> What did you find? [18:47] Tech> ::nods:: I think that's it. Savant just needed a boost in some areas. The data will have to integrate, but otherwise, she should fully functional in minutes. [18:48] ::thinks: You're suggestion probably deals with some Romulan particle beam that we have to install:: [18:48] ::sighs as he shakes his head and carries a padd down the hall:: [18:48] *beams* thank you Lieutenant ^_^ [18:48] ::nods and heads back to the bridge:: [18:48] Let's take this to to the conference lounge gentlemen. [18:48] <[CDtc_Daren]> Well sir, those two men have direct conncections to whomever stole the Voyager. One is dead and the other is in our Sickbay [18:48] ::sighs:: So I guess we're stuck with Savvy. [18:48] ::rises and heads to the lounge:: [18:48] ::continues to talk to Prax while walking to the CR:: Your phasers can punch a hole in Voyager's shields, correct? [18:48] <[CDtc_Daren]> I'm sorry to notify you of the breach in Security [18:48] Stuck with her? [18:48] +taps+ Major Ironside, I have a full report for you at your earliest convenience. [18:48] ::heads to the turbolift:: [18:48] ::points at the hologram:: You'd better keep your photonic fingers out from behind my bar, that's all I ahve to say. [18:48] ::turns and exits the room:: [18:48] ::enters a turbolift:: [18:49] ::hops in behind Lane:: [18:49] Lieutenant. [18:49] ::walks behind Lisbon:: Well, can't have the hologram thinking we want it around, can we? [18:49] ::nods:: Sir. [18:49] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::lets out the breath through his nose and checks back down the hall again, then back at Dejat:: I don't think you have to worry about me dying in front of you, Lieuteanant. After all, I'm immortal. ::pats Dejat on the shoulder:: We won't tell the captain... [18:49] <[CDtc_Daren]> We've got to be getting back to the Ship [18:49] +taps+ Mr. Dalton could you prepare some light refreshments and bring them to the Lounge? [18:49] It's harmless. [18:49] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::scowls, then taps his communicator badge:: +taps+ Thank you, Lieutenant, I'll be reading it shortly. [18:49] ::walks to the CR with his PADD in hand, ready to defend himself again if necessary:: [18:49] Bridge. [18:49] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::nods, seeming to compose himself:: Then, let us say that...the defenses were easily broken. [18:49] ::not having a badge, taps Lisbon's:: +tap+ Yes, all right. Sandwiches fine? [18:49] ::stands stiffly in silence as he rides with the XO:: [18:50] <[CDtc_Daren]> +Taps+ Daren to Transporter Room...ready to transport [18:50] ::to Lisbo:: Harmless! Hmph. [18:50] +taps+ Sounds good. Thankyou Mr. Dalton. [18:50] ::to the computer:: Deck 7, please. [18:50] <[LMMC_Ironside]> Agreed. Shall we return, then? [18:50] ::wonders how Dalton activated his commbadge, which is set to respond only to his use:: [18:50] ::materializes in TR1:: [18:50] ::shakes it off:: [18:50] ::steps out onto the Bridge:: [18:50] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::nods:: Yes, let's. And Major, stop by my quarters some time. I'll...tell you more. [18:50] ::materializes:: [18:50] ::enters the CR, still talking to Prax:: If you can punch a hole in Voyager's shields, I can send out a probe to bombard it with Meson particles. [18:50] ::enters the hallway and a turbolift:: Bridge! [18:50] ::takes the 'lift down to Deck 7 once Lane has stepped off:: [18:50] ::follows the XO onto the bridge but quickly crosses to the Conference Room:: [18:50] <[LMMC_Ironside]> I'll be glad to listen....+taps+ Ironside to Coronado, two to beam back. [18:51] Deck 7> :;walks towards his bar:: [18:51] ::sits and waits for the others to arrive:: [18:51] <[LMMC_Ironside]> ::demat/remat:: [18:51] <[LTHL_Dejat]> ::smiles and allows the energies to wash over him:: [18:51] 7> ::enters the bar:: Yoo hoo, Savant [18:51] ::enters the CR and glamces around:: [18:51] ::follows Lane, instinctively recognizing a conference is going to take place:: [18:51] 7> ::begins to throw things together:: Hologram, where are youuuu ... ? [18:51] ::looks at the Professor:: I'm using the phasers to punch a hole already, so I am using the phasers to deactivate the necessary systems. Do I make my self clear, professor, sir? [18:51] ::enters the bridge and takes the station on the bridge:: [18:51] <[Cdten_Oswald]> ::wonders vaguely if she really has to go back to the ship before calling to be transported:: [18:51] ::enters and takes a seat next to Bentall:: Savant has been repaired. [18:51] ::remats and steps down from the pad, solid as ever as he begins to make his way towards the conference lounge with Dejat:: [18:52] ::nods:: Captain, I have a report on the man we captured on the station. ::hands the padd to the CO:: [18:52] ::sighs:: Never rely on a hologram. I'm sure that's a rule of acquisition I've forgotten. [18:52] ::follows along, his demeanor noticably different:: [18:52] CR> Yes, you do, Lieutenant Junior Grade. However, that may unduely damage it. [18:52] A copy has been sent to Major Ironside, the XO, and the Station Master. [18:52] ::takes the PADD and places it infront of him along with a few others:: Thankyou Lieutenant. [18:52] TR> ::remats and steps down from the pad:: [18:52] ::nods:: Permission to be dismissed, sir? [18:52] ::nods at his XO:: Thank you Exec. [18:52] ::enters the lounge and takes a seat:: [18:53] Granted Lieutenant. [18:53] 7> ::puts a plate together, arranging some meats, lettuce, tomato, a Bajoran vegetable, and breads, grabs some water and some juice, and walks towards the 'lift:: [18:53] CR> How would you know Romulan? I have studied both Klingon and Starfleet sides of that combat. I have made my living on understanding the Engieers aspect of things. I do not need a Romulan to tell me my job, sir. [18:53] ::nods and spins on his heel, heading for the CR door:: [18:53] CR> ::balks at Prax's tone:: [18:53] ::exits onto the bridge and sighs:: [18:53] TL> Bridge, computer. And find that hologram! 12=.\ction= The entire senior staff have assembled in the conferance lounge [18:53] ::eventually arrives at the Conference lounge, activating the door and stepping slightly aside to let Dejat through first:: [18:53] Computer> Please restate request. [18:53] Oh shut up. [18:54] ::glances at T'Prax and the Ragarok, waiting for one of them to notice his glare and shut up:: [18:54] ::sits down in a chair:; [18:54] ::enters the lounge a bit late, and drops the plate on the table:: Food's self-serve today. [18:54] ::enters a TL:: Deck 7, Crew Lounge [18:54] *> ::makes her way to the conference room and arrives, somehow, right after Dalton:: [18:54] ::takes a seat:: [18:54] ::nods in thanks to Ironside and seats himself at his usual seat:: [18:54] ::relaxes, reading his PADD, and ignoring the Professor:: [18:54] ::puts down the drinks and sits down:: [18:54] ::looks at the seated officers:: Before we get to the heart of the matter help yourselves to Mr. Daltons handywork. I'm sure your all hungry. [18:54] ::looks over at Bentall:: I'm sorry, sir, but Mr. Prax seems to have all the answers and does not need a Romulan to help. If I may be dismissed? [18:54] ::crosses his arms and eyes the food on the table, not trusting whatever it is:: [18:54] ::looks at Bentall:: Oh honestly ... are these two at it again? [18:55] 7> ::enters the Seventh Heaven, but sees only two crewmen:: [18:55] ::sits in a corner on the floor:: [18:55] ::frowns at Ironside:: I'll thank you not to disrespect my food, sir. [18:55] Please remain a moment longer Professor. I'll deal with that later. Mr. T'Prax please fill the crew in on our plans for retaking Voyager with little damage. [18:55] 7> ::decides to grab something from the replicator and sits down to enjoy his meal alone:: [18:55] Waiter> ::walks over to Lane:: Can I help you? [18:55] ::glances up to look at Dalton:: Perhaps after I've seen the effects on the crew, I'll try some. [18:56] ::remains seated, taking out a PADD and working:: [18:56] 7> ::nods:: Any synthehol around? [18:56] :nods:: As most of you may know, in 2286, the USS Enterprise was lost in orbit around the Genesis planet. [18:56] ::mumbles:: I'll show you effects, you good for nothing marine ... [18:56] 7> Something good? [18:56] Waiter> ::wrinkles his nose in disgust:: SYN-thehol ?? [18:56] ::listens to TPrax:: [18:56] ::grins ever so slightly as he picks up Dalton's remark, then turns his attention to Prax:: [18:56] Waiter> ::recovers:: Uhh ... yes, I'm sure we hvae something. [18:56] During the Enterprises stay in robit, A Klingo vessel appeared. They fired on an Engine on the Enterprise effectively shutting down power. [18:56] ::looks at Dalton and frowns at the interuption:: [18:57] 7> ::chuckles:: I thought that real alcohol was prohibited. If you DO have some of that... [18:57] ::attempts to look interested in the conversation:: [18:57] Waiter> ::indicates that Lane should come with him to the bar:: [18:57] Now, it is my intention to modify the phasers to punch a hole in Voyager's shields, and effectively shut down shiedls, warp, and weapons. ::looks at Bentall and sits down:: [18:57] 7> ::pulls out a latinum coin:: I can make it worht your while. [18:57] ::makes no attempt to look interested and works on a padd while listening:: [18:57] 7> ::moves to the bar:: [18:58] Waiter> ::raises an eyebrow, taking the coin and inspecting it before putting it in his pocket:: [18:58] Waiter> You'll be wanting the ... Romulan Ale? [18:58] ::nods:: Please explain how punching a hole through the shields will shut down all those systems with little damage to the ship? [18:58] ::nods in agreement at TPrax's plans:: [18:58] ::speaks up:: I don't think that will be necessary, Captain, in any case. [18:58] 7> ::raises an eyebrow:: If I had known that you had the good stuff, I would have brought an extra coin or three. [18:59] Waiter> You can afford a sip, at least. [18:59] Major? [18:59] The punching through the shileds will allow the phasers to target the systems directly wihtout damaging the ship. [18:59] Waiter> Rule of Acquisition 42 ... Always leave them wanting more. [18:59] ::glances to Ironside:: [18:59] ::turns to look at Ironside:; [18:59] ::nods at T'Prax while waiting for Ironside to continue:: [18:59] 7> ::chuckles:: Yes,... well... [18:59] ::mumbles under his breath but continues to work:: [18:59] Waiter> ::pours Lane a very small glass of Ale:: [18:59] ::stares at the Professors mumbling:: [19:00] ::raises his chin slightly, and glances around the table, locking eyes with Dejat for a moment before continuing:: We have aquired the command codes for Voyager. I'm not speaking of the software codes which can be altered. I'm speaking of the codes which are hard coded into Voyager's hardware. [19:00] ::to Ian:: {{Aisha, Why do must they test me? Am I such a bad person?}} [19:00] 7> ::sighs and takes the small glass in a rather depressed motion:: Here's to always wanting more... [19:01] ::raises an eyebrow and turns to face the professor:: Think you can do somthing with those Professor? With Mr. Dejats help? [19:01] {{They don't know you. Give them a chance, Imzadi.}} [19:01] ::shakes his head at Ironside:: Sir, with all due respect, those codes can be changed, but only by the crew of the Voyager. It is possible that those Command codes have been altered as the warp signature was. [19:01] 7> ::sips easily at the powerful alcohol:: [19:01] 7> ::whispers:: Damn... [19:01] {{Aurel: I have been on this ship for a month, how much time does a crew need?}} [19:01] ::looks to T'Prax:: Regular codes, yes. But not the hardware codes. [19:01] That requires going in and completely redesigning the computer core. [19:01] ::stops himself for a second, waiting for Prax to finish:: Yes, with the hard-wired command codes, I'm sure it can be done. There are precedents. [19:02] ::looks back at Prax:: I repeat, Lieutenant. These are the hard coded commands which are in the hardware. In order to change the codes, you'd need an entirely redisigned computer core. [19:02] ::looks at T'Prax:: Lieutenant even you should know that the hardware codes cannot be changed. [19:02] ::looks at Dejat:: But those hardware codes are protected by several security screens. [19:02] ::glances at Ironside and smirks at the use of the same words:: [19:02] Well, obviously the Cardassian has trained in commandeering Federation starships, Captain Bentall. I say you let him try. [19:02] Of course they are. ::holds up an isolinear rod:: Which can all be defeated by this. [19:02] It is my belief, given the proper commands and access... that EMH could alter the hardware codes. [19:02] 7> ::looks up at the waiter:: Said she can't handle a "long-distance relationship"... hell, in this day and age, it seems that's all that there's time for.... [19:03] ::looks at Dejat:: I believe we are up to the challenge... of course, we are a mere Cardassian and Romulan... [19:03] That's why the Professor and Mr. Dejat will be working together to get through them. ::glances at Dalton with a sly grin:: [19:03] {{Well then try being nice to them. Make friends with them.}} [19:03] He still remains after the crew left Voyager. [19:03] ::tries to ignore Dalton's remark, but almost smirks:: [19:03] ::nods at Lisbon:: That's a good point Commander. [19:03] 7> ::shakes his head:: Damn, this IS the real stuff, isn't it? [19:03] Ok. Anything else to report? [19:03] ::shakes his head:: The EMH wouldn't have the proper programming. Only qualified Starfleet Computer Technicians know how to alter the hard wired codes, and they are all closely monitored by Command. [19:03] Waiter> ::looks perplexed:: But of course ... why would I serve you something substandard? Mr. Dalton has a reputation to protect. [19:04] Stealing the Voyager wasn't easy. I wouldn't underestimate this, people. [19:04] {{How, when they challenge my suggestions at every turn. To them, I'm just a mere junior officer with nothing but cracked ideas. Just as cracked as that Romulan Professor}} [19:04] ::smirks:: After all, if any EMH could alter the hard codes, there wouldn't be any point to them. =) [19:04] 7> ::chuckles bitterly:: Of course... [19:04] EMH is a program like any other. [19:05] This EMH is not like most others people. Let's try and keep that in mind. [19:05] Waiter> When you want more, you know where to find it. ::The waiter begins to polish glasses:: [19:05] And how is the EHM going to enter the computer core, in any case? [19:05] ::pays attention to the interesting debate:: [19:05] Perhaps... ::goes into thinking, looking up some things on his PADD:: [19:05] ::frowns:: Did I miss something, captain? [19:05] Lieutenant Lisbon...I don't think we're being clear enough. Hardwired means that they cannot be changed. They are unalterable, unless you swap out the cores. They're hard-coded onto the computer-core circuitry. [19:05] {{Unlike Vulcans, Romulans have feelings. Excluding a certain half Vulcan I know.}} [19:05] You're saying ... that Voyager's Emergency Medical Holographic program is responsible for hijacking the ship? [19:05] 7> ::sighs:: Do I really have to pay for the good stufF? Or are you just playing upon my generous nature? [19:05] ::turns to Dejat:: May I ask what you have on that isolinear rod? [19:05] ::looks around:: That idea may have some merit... if we access Voyager's computer, we can activate the EMH who I'm sure would be happy to help. [19:06] Hardware can be replaced. Voyager's hardware was rather unique, as well. [19:06] Waiter> Things that good don't come cheap, Lieutenant. [19:06] {{Please, do not bring that up. I'm having a hard time as it is with this Romulan}} [19:06] ::looks to T'Prax:: Voyager's hard-wired codes and the way to access them. [19:06] And it's been... a while since they returned. Whoever stole the ship seemed thorough enough to anticipate quite abit. [19:06] ::shakes her head, sadly:: [19:06] No Mr. Dalton. People, If you recall the Voyager EMH has been declared a sentient and an individual. Let's try and remember that shall we. [19:07] 7> ::stretches:: Open me a tab, then. I have plenty of latinum in my quarters. [19:07] ::sighs, depressed:: (m) When did I become a champion of hologram rights? How disturbing ... [19:07] ::glances to Dejat, suspecting something, summoning up his intelligence training suddenly:: [19:07] ::raises his hand:: Perhaps the conspirator we have detained in sickbay can shed some light on the plans of the group that stole the Voyager. Unfortuantly he is still unconscious at last check. [19:07] Good suggestion Cadet. Why don't you see to that when he comes around. [19:07] ::nods absent mindedly, and then turns to Bentall with a serious expression:: Sir, with your permission, I would like to report to Engineering and begin setting up the computer to transfer the hardware codes. [19:08] ::realizes they want further explanation:: The Major here had me enter the registry computer. Wasn't exactly an easy thing to do, but...I managed. Once in, it was an easy thing to get the codes. [19:08] Time is of the essence people. Time to track Voyager down. Stations people. [19:08] And it was quite authorized, at least by Planitia personnel. [19:08] ::rises and heads out onto the bridge:: Mr. Dejat? [19:08] You hacked the registry? [19:08] ::scoffs at Dejat's comment:: [19:08] ::nods:: I'll have the Doctor forceable remove him from his coma...permission to be dismissed? [19:08] ::nods to Bentall, rises, then exits, taking his station, and then turning back to Bentall:: Sir? [19:09] ::walks quickly out of the CR and heads to the turbolift:: [19:09] ::pushes back from the table and stands slowly, a little surprised at the Captain's quick exit:: [19:09] ::stands, looking at Dejat:: 12=.\ction= 15 minutes later all is ready to begin [19:09] ::enters turbolift:: Deck 6 [19:09] ::is sitting on the bridge:: [19:09] Lay in a pursuit course Mr. Dejat as fast as we can go. [19:09] ::takes the Tactical Station on the bridge:: [19:09] ::nods, plotting the course:: Ready when you are, sir. [19:10] Exec, until we come in sensor range of Voyager we will go to yellow alert. [19:10] *>::enters his quarters, and heads to the punching bag he just set up:: [19:10] 7> ::re-enters his bar, looking around to see if he has any customers:: [19:10] Engage Mr. Dejat. [19:10] 7> ::continues to stare into his second glass of Romulan Ale:: [19:10] ::walks down to seventh heaven:: [19:10] ::nods and engages the slipstream drive:: 12=.\ction= The Coronado's slipstream drive activates; the frigate enters the conduit, and vanishes. [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:10] ::attn:: [19:11] ::attn:: [19:11] wonders if i have to ::attn::? [19:11] No Doc. :) [19:11] A little cluttered but all in all pretty good. :) [19:11] The end felt rushed. [19:11] Yes, quite enjoyable. [19:11] Yeah, that's true. [19:11] There were still a few things... [19:11] It was Lieuteant. :) [19:11] I had fun, my first three character SIM :) [19:11] Things better left for another time ;) [19:11] I have to be somewhere shortly. [19:12] Cadet Daren, front and centre. [19:12] ::stands and walks forward:: [19:12] Well, I just felt ignored there at the end because it was rushed. [19:12] ::clears his throat, hands Bentall a box and withdraws his sword:: [19:12] ::watches the cadet:: [19:13] ::circles around the cadet:: [19:13] Cadet after three succesful sims I am impressed with your simming abilities. I hereby promote you to Ensign, with the position of Chief Tactical Officer. This entitles you to all rights and privilleges of said rank and position. ::hands Daren the little box and nods at the XO to finsih of the traditional ceramony:: [19:14] ::takes the box:: Thank you Sir [19:14] This where I slice his throat? Oh! ::does a mock knighting:: [19:14] Off with his head! [19:14] ::applauds:: [19:14] ::points:: There Exec. [19:14] <> [19:14] ::claps:: [19:14] Congratulations Ensign. [19:14] ::claps loudly, not wanting to be the first to do it:: [19:14] ::stands with hands behind his back:: [19:14] ::claps her hands:: [19:14] ::cheers:: one down, only one more to go till I'm the only cadet again!! [19:14] As for the rest of you I apologize for the rushed ending. It could not be helped. [19:15] Daren, well done. ::offers his hand:: [19:15] ::shakes XO's hand:: [19:15] Thanks [19:15] LCARS, we're through. Get these landlubbers home before sunset.
