Welcome to my second sim as Commanding Officer. With any luck this'll go a little smoother then last week. [18:08] First of all some crew changes and one addition. [18:09] Introducing our newest member. Cadet BrenBog`l. He joins us as a Squadron Leader of the Marines. [18:09] ::nods to the new Cdt.:: [18:09] ::nods:: Welcome aboard, Cadet. [18:09] Welcome [18:09] thank you everyone [18:10] Also Ensign T'Prax is being transfered over to Engineering as the Chief Engineer. And Cadet Oswald will also be transferring to Engineering as well. [18:10] what's with these new cadets?!? don't you guys know that I'm the only cadet allowed on board... [18:10] all others get spaced... [18:10] You are at attention, Cadet....::wry grin:: [18:11] ::sticks her tongue out at Ironside and then goes back to attention muttering: ya know ya love me sir... [18:11] Lastly before I get the sim briefing going I just wanted to remind you all that there will not be an official sim On the 27th due to the holidays. You're welcome to have one if you wish but I won't be here. 12=Sim Briefing!= Please type "ack" after you've read it... 12Stardate 239912.06: "A New Beginning" , by Alffred. 12SUMMARY: A Change in Command, a mystery, and the challenge to return home in one piece. 12Following a disastrous slipstream propulsion test, U.S.S. Coronado had found herself 87 years in the future! The year was 2486, and in this timeline, the Federation has been all but decimated by the Borg Collective. With the Coronado's help the new Federation was able to jump through a hypergate, constructed around an artificial wormhole. 12The Coronado soon performed a slingshot and returned to their own time only to find themselves 40,000 light years from the alpha quadrant. To make matters worse Commander Lora was found in a heap outside his quarters, apparently poisoned using the same poison that had been found in Commander Reckoning's body. Now the former Chief Engineer finds himself in the position of commanding officer, the fate of the crew in his hands and a mystery of two poisoned senior officers. 12Now the mystery of the poisonings has being investigated and it was discovered that Ensign Titan was behind the evil deeds. The task of developing a fast way home had gone to the Romulan Science Officer who has come up with a risky solution. The crew has been assigned new tasks to arrest Ensign Titan and set up the new drive. As the crew sets out to begin these important tasks, a disturbing report came to Commnader Bentall's ears. The stasis pod that held Commander Reckoning body had been tampered with, killing the officer in the process. The crew now finds themselves in a race against time, the sabateur and the unknown. While they perform these tasks one question remains to be is Ensign Titan working alone or are more members of the crew apart of this conspiracy? As the Proffessor and Drexler are not here we will need to make a couple of changes in sim. :) [18:15] Any questions? [18:15] Will you want me to be working on the drive anyway? [18:15] Yes. If you and T'Prax and Oswald could work on it that would help. :) [18:15] Go ahead. [18:16] ::nods and resumes Dejattention:: [18:16] Nevermind, Dejat asked what I watned to know.. [18:16] ::turns to Dejat:: Oswald and I will meet you in Eng. [18:16] Anything else then? [18:16] will i be still working on the toxin? [18:17] Yes but that will change shortly if you remember I'm on my way up to sickbay to have a look at the damaged stasis pod. [18:17] ok [18:18] ::enters Engineering with several PADD's in hand:: [18:18] ::rushes down the corridor to sickbay:: [18:19] ::enters Engineering and looks around:: [18:19] D6> ::punches in an override security code and steps into Ensign Titan's quarters, looking around at the relatively clean surroundings:: [18:19] ::makes his way through Deck 15, heading for main engineering:: [18:19] M> ::standing in front of the damaged stasis pod and a PADD writing something on it:: [18:19] Eng>::calls for attention to the entire Engineering crew:: Ladies and Gentlemen. We have some work to do. We need to help work on the drive. [18:20] M> ::walks into sickbay a little out of breath:: Report Doctor. [18:20] ME> ::steps into Main engineering and makes his way over towards T'Prax:: Ah, good afternoon, Ensign. ::smiles:: [18:20] D6> ::immediately steps towards the desk and sits down in the provided chair, accessing the ensign's computer:: [18:20] ::points to two En.s and a Lt.:: You three, monitor the Slipstream drive. ::turns to Cdt. Oswald:: I need you to help me work on the main drive. ::turns to Dejat:: Welcome to my Lair Lt. [18:21] eng> ::looks at T'Prax:: sir I barely could find my way here and you expect me to start working on the drive? [18:21] M> Well, when the sabateur damamged the controls, they certainly knew what they were doing, they cut off all life support systems and power systems while somehow managing to get by the security on it. [18:21] ME> ::smirks at the reference:: I think I might do best to run simulations for you, but this is more your field than mine. You've got the show. [18:21] Eng>::turns to Oswald:: Not alone. But I would like for you to pull up all the information we ahve on Ragarok's designs. [18:22] ME>Dejat: If you could run the simulations with me, that would be a great help. Even Vulcans require a little help now and then. [18:22] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D3*> ::leaps over a bulkhead plate that is an obstacle in the middle of the corridor as he sprints after the intruder, trying to get a shot at him:: [18:22] ME> ::smirks:: You read my mind, Ensign. Want me to set up in the holodeck or run it from here? [18:22] ::brings up a list of the ensign's personal log entries, noting that they are few and far between:: [18:23] M> ::looks at the pod with a grim look:: Is Commander Lora's pod in anyway damaged? [18:23] ME> ::pulls out a padd and hands it to T'Prax:: that is the only place Reckoning's notes are stored... [18:24] ::accesses the most recent personal log entry and waits for it to load:: [18:24] ME>::looks around for a large enough console:: Lt. I think we should run prilimary simulations here, and then the holodck. ::takes the PADD:: Thank you Cdt., Can you run a level 2 diagnostic on the slipstream drive. I want to make sure it is a peek effeciency. [18:24] M> no it isn't, i wonder why the sabateur would leave that pod intact while doing so much damge to reckoning's. [18:24] ::frowns as the small monitor flickers slightly and emits an almost inaudible whine:: [18:25] ME>::begins to read Reckoning's notes:: Very interesting. It is a bit risky, but it might if we can get the specifications down perfect. [18:25] ME> ::shrugs and walks over to a counsel, sits, and begins running the diagnostic:: [18:25] ME> ::nods:: Mind if I take over that console ::gestures to a particularly uninteresting console:: [18:26] ::grabs the monitor and pulls it up off the table, quickly throwing the small screen out the door and diving for cover:: [18:26] ME>::sees the console he is pointing at:: That would be the best one in Engineering. ::walks over to the console and activates it:: [18:26] M> ::pauses to check over Lora's pod on his own:: Good question. Perhaps something or someone interrupted him. Ok. Perfrom an autopsy on Commander Reckoning. Confirm the cause of death and then continue working on the poison. [18:27] ::feels and hears the rumble as the booby trapped monitor detonates, shaking the corridor and the ensign's quarters:: [18:27] M> Yes sir, i'll keep you informed on what i find [18:27] E> ::turns to face Dejat:: How do you wish to set up the simulation? [18:28] E> ::smirks, moving over to and sitting in the chair:: I think we should just try a basic approach first time around. Use my standard helm console layout, current relative position, current drive readings, and so on. [18:28] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D3*> ::stops:: We've lost him, Sec will have to do the rest. ::motions for the Marines to continue searching the decks:: [18:28] +taps+ Bentall to Ironside [18:28] <^1LtCC_Halkins> TL> Deck 6. [18:28] ::picks himself up off the floor and hits his commbadge:: +taps+ Ironside here. [18:29] <^1LtCC_Halkins> d6> ::steps out of the TL and walks down the hall to find Ironside in Titan's quarters:: [18:29] +taps+ Major, found anything yet? [18:29] +taps+ ::dusts himself off:: More booby traps..... [18:29] E> ::sets up a mock console of Helm and inputs all of the current information about the Coro into it:: Okay, I have set up the simulation. Now let me input the data from Reckonings notes. [18:30] M> ::walks over to supply closet to get the medical tools needed for an autopsy, mainly specialized scaninng devices, and an exoscalpel and loads them up on a cart:: [18:30] E> ::nods, sitting still while T'Prax enters the data from standing next to him:: [18:30] ::exits TL on deck 6:: [18:30] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> ::walks inside:: ::salutes:: Major. [18:30] E> ::begins to include some of the necessary data from Reckonings notes:: There. That is everything. Computer, Run the simulation on Engineering console 312. [18:30] +taps+ I get the feeling that everything in these quarters is going to explode if it isn't disarmed first... [18:31] ::nods at Halkins:: Any sign of more traps, Lieutenant? [18:31] E> ::takes over, assuming control of the simulated Coronado:: [18:31] +taps+ Understood. Proceed with extreme caution. Commander Reckoning is dead due to a destroyed control panel. Could you coordinate with Security and have a 24 hour guard placed in sickbay to protect Commander Lora's pod. Also I need you to track Titan down. Lieutenant Drexler is tied up at the moment. [18:31] E>::watches from Dejat's left side:: It looks good so far. Phase variance is within tolerance levels. The corridor is holding. [18:31] M> ::wheels the cart over to Reckonings body which is was taken out of the stasis pod and put on a 'morgue board' in an adjacent room to Sickbay:: [18:32] E> Picking up some turbulence on the hull, but nothing that the ship can't handle... [18:32] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> ::clenches his fist and tries to will away the pulsing headache:: Just the effects that the compounds are having on my tracer.. [18:32] D6> +taps+ Affirmative ::closes the channel with another tap and looks at Halkins:: Get a marine on guard duty ASAP, and get someone good with demolitions in here. ::looks around:: I think just about everything's wired. [18:33] ::proceeds to Titans quarters:: [18:33] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> Aye sir, will do. [18:33] E> ::the console monitoring the simulation begins to beep gently:: There stress on the hull is increasing, but at the moment it is within tolerable levels, but we should work on that on the Holodeck simulation later. [18:33] D6> ::nods and exits the quarters:: +taps+ Computer, locate the biosignature of Ensign Titan. [18:34] <^1LtCC_Halkins> d6> +taps+ I need a Demo man in Titan's quarters and 2 grunts up here now! Halkins out! [18:34] E> ::turns to Dejat:: What is the speed that the computer is registering? [18:34] ::enter:: ::salutes supperior officers:: [18:34] E> ::nods:: But time is of the essence. ::glances down:: Slippage factor...oh my...slippage factor six! 12=.\ction= The computers voice comes alive "Ensign Titan is not aboard the Coronado" [18:35] E> ::The console begins to beep again:: The pressure on the hull is becoming too great. See if you can reduce speed. [18:35] M> ::looks at Reckoning's body while putting on gloves, pulls down cover and picks up exoscalpel, then makes a standard Y incision on the torso and opens up several flaps created by this:: [18:35] E> ::nods, glancing at the distance indicator:: We've closed the gap to just 25,000 light years, though! And it such a short time! [18:35] M> ::leaves sickbay and heads down to engineering:: [18:36] D6> ::heads for the turbolift:: {{He's gone from sickbay, to deck three....he's going up}} ::enters the TL:: Deck two [18:36] E> ::T`Prax's console beeps violently:: The stress on the Hull is exceeding maximum tolerance. If we don't slow down the ship will be ripped apart. [18:37] E> ::looks down:: Okay, maintaining slippage factor two. [18:37] M> ::turns around an picks up a long device that looks like a barbeque fork and slides it into Reckoning flesh, the fork is attached to a tricorder which is diplaying the results of the scan:: [18:37] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> ::turns to the 3 marines:: Demo, I want you to survey the room and find what's wired. Then un wire it. Grunts, stand guard, no one without clearance enters, and anyone suspicious looking I want you to pay very close attention to. Fire on stun, only if you are attacked or drawn upon. Move it, men. [18:38] E> ::walks into his old stomping grounds and watches the three work on the simulation:: [18:38] E> ::Looks at his console:: That is not enough, stress is still increasing. Microfractures are showing up on decks 3 and 8. [18:38] E>:: hears Bentall enter, but does not look away from the console:: [18:38] D2> ::draws his PPP as he slowly steps out of the turbolift, his eyes sweeping the corridor:: [18:38] ::looks at halkins:: anything i can do here, sir? [18:38] E> Hrm. Better cut out the drive. ::disengages the drive, ending the simulation:: But just look at it! We covered 25,940 light years in just five minutes! [18:38] E> ::the computer tells Oswald it's done on the diagnostic:: [18:39] E> ::frowns:: Oh wait a minute... [18:39] E> ::looks at the calcutatled information:: True, but had we left the drive running another 30.234 seconds, the hull would ahve shattered, destroying the ship. [18:39] E> ::frowns more deeply:: Yeah, exactly what I was going to say. [18:39] M> ::takes fork out of reckoning, picks up two neuro scanners and puts them on Reckoning's head, again the readins re displayed and stored on a tricorder:: [18:39] E> ::watches and leans over to Cadet Oswald, who is at a nearby console:: How are things going down here Cadet? [18:39] E> Alright, so we need to go slower, but stronger. [18:40] D2> ::begins walking forward slowly, sidearm prepared while his ears listen for any possible audible signs of the sabateur ensign:: [18:40] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> Ah, Mr. Bog`l. Welcome aboard. ::clears his throat and gestures to the rank insignia:: We'll work on that, but I want you to make sure the new simulators in the MArine Rec racility are working and set up correctly. They haven't even been turned on yet, so they need to be calibrated. I'll let you know if anything comes up. [18:40] E> And even if we shut down the drive after 4 minutes, the microfractures would have reappeared after 1 minute of reentering the corridor. I beleive if we decreased the amount of energy used to create the corridot, it might relieve the stress long enough tog et us back. [18:41] yes,sir [18:41] M> ::takes off neuro scanners and completes the autopsy by performing a full body scan with a standard medical tricorder:: [18:41] E> ::looks at Bentall, considers lying, then tells the truth:: trying very hard to look busy... [18:41] E> ::turns around to the Cdt:: Cdt. Report on the Diagnostic? [18:41] E> True, but at that velocity, we would tear the ship apart no matter what. I don't think the deflector could keep up with the particles that'd be tearing into the hull. [18:41] ::walks to turbolift:: [18:42] E> :;shrugs:: everything is fine sir.. [18:42] D2> ::turns a corridor in time to see a blur of moment dash into a jeffries tube access:: [18:42] TL> Marine Rec [18:42] E> Very true. Is it possible that the friction created by the corridor could also have something to do with the stress on the ship's hull? [18:42] E> ::grins at the nervous Cadet:: Keep up the good work. ::turns to Dejat and T'Prax:: Anything working Gentlemen? [18:42] E> ::turns around to Bentall:: Well, we've got some progress. [18:42] M> ::closes up the Y incision by using autosutures then pushes a button the the end of the bed and the bed moves into the wall:: [18:43] ::begins making his way down the corridor slowly, inching along the bulkhead opposite the access until he can see inside:: [18:43] E> When you think aobut it logically, space has friction just like Earth or any other planet. ::turns to Bentall:: Unfortunately after 5 minutes the ship tears itself arpart. [18:43] E> ::raises an eyebrow:: That's good news. Fill me in. [18:43] M> ::takes off gloves & apron and goes and washes his hands:: [18:43] E> But if we provide ourselves a week or so to get home, I'm estimating that we'll need to go about 2,100,000c. In other words, nearly fifteen times faster than we normally do. [18:43] E> ::turns back to her counsel and acts like she's doing something:: [18:44] E> Even if we had two days to get home, the microfractures would be the main problem. [18:44] E> ::nods:: Can we do somthing about the microfractures that won't slow us down? I intened to be at Starbase 205 in a week. [18:44] M> ::takes the ricorder, presses a few buttons on it and the information is transferred onto a PADD, wlaks into office to read and examine the data:: [18:44] E> We're working on that now, but travelling at a slippage factor of 30 is a lot different than a factor of 2. [18:45] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::walks down the hall and turns a corner, when he suddenly is forced to the deck as his tracer hits him harder than ever:: [18:45] D2> ::enters the jeffries access carefully and makes sure Titan hasn't doubled back before heading down, sidearm still at the ready:: [18:45] E> ::turns to Bentall:: There is a possibility, but what that is, we do not know yet. There are too many variables at the moment. [18:45] E> And as an aside, I don't think we should ever try this again. We're going to be maxing out the engines on this run as it is. [18:45] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *>::leans back against the bulkhead as he struggles to control the pain:: [18:46] E> ::nods:: Ok. ::turns to the Cadet:: Cadet Oswald? You're familiar with Reckonings notes more then I. Do you have any suggestions? [18:46] E> Agreed. If we tried to enter the corridor a second time, chances are the engines would cause the destruction of the ship. [18:46] E> ::waits for the Cadet to speak:: [18:46] ::exits TL near the marine rec facilities:: [18:46] M> ::reads the data on the PADD and comes to the conclusion that the life support failure was infact the cause of death:: [18:47] E> So we've got one shot on this. ::frowns:: We've got subspace friction, microparticle impacts, and subspace hull stresses to worry about. Those are the only hindrances to our project. Let's go through and eliminate each one by one. [18:47] E> ::shrugs:: I think the rise in hull pressure is from the slip stream deteriating... you have to keep rebuilding it... [18:47] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::manages to stand again, though he is hunched over and barely able to walk:: Can't give in.. ::steps forward and feels worse:: [18:47] E> How can we do that? [18:47] E> Subspace friction should be relatively easy to reduce. We just need to alter warp-field geometry a bit, no challenge with the variable geometry nacelles. [18:47] E> But the computer would have showed that the slipstream corridor was corroding. [18:47] D7> ::ceases his descent as he notes a junction access which is not fully sealed, quickly stepping off the ladder and climbing into horizontal crawlspace:: [18:47] E> At such a high velocity, it very well might be. [18:48] M> +Taps+ Barnes to Bentall, the results are in, the life support failure in the pod was the cause of Reckoning's death, as we thought. [18:48] E> So we need to sustain it as well... [18:48] E> Re-program the simulation with that in mind and see what happens. [18:48] E> ::taps in a few commands:: Computer, how would one sustain a quantum phase inversion tunnel? [18:48] E> ::turns to DEjat:: Yes, but we can not eliminate the microparticle impacts. [18:48] +taps+ Acknowledged Doctor. See if her body helps at all with the poison antedote. Bentall out. [18:49] E> We can if we employ all navigational deflectors and shields. [18:49] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::thinks and tries to search for the compund causing him to be in agony:: I should've listened to those social workers... [18:49] E> But that would cause more subpsace friction, slowing us down again. [18:49] D7> ::exits the jeffries tube junction in a roll manouever, quickly sweeping both sides of the corridor with his sidearm to assure its clear:: [18:49] E> We'll need to recycle them through the auxiliary generators too--in fact, we'll probably need to put the aux systems on-line with the mains, but it should work. [18:49] ::punches up a diagnostic prog for the rec simulators:: [18:49] E> Again, no large problem since we can just alter warp field geometry. [18:50] M> ::brings up on the PADD specifications on the toxin, and starts studying 'em:: [18:50] E> ::shakes his head:: I don't know. Running both Auxs and Mains would burn out several circuits, having that much energy running through them. [18:50] D7> Dammit...::finally realizes what's on this level and begins to move in a combat jog through the corridors:: [18:50] E> True, so we'll need to have ops keep a close eye on them. [18:50] E> So do you think we can do this? [18:50] E> Modulate power as needed. [18:50] E> Here's the plan. Let us adjust the warp-field into a tighter supbspace bubble than it already is. [18:51] E> ::looks to Bentall:: It's possible. We'll just need to experiment. [18:51] E> ::turns to Bentall:: Gives us a few hours, and we can. [18:51] E> ::nods:: Keep me informed. I'll be on the Bridge. [18:51] computer, test maximum parametres for the simulators [18:51] D7> ::puts his back up against the wall beside the main computer core access doors and takes a few breaths, sidearm up and ready:: [18:51] E> Acknowledged. [18:51] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::grabs the bulkhead, a section of the plating falls off, surprising him and making him go off balance:: What the-- ::looks at newly revealed section:: Holy smokes! [18:51] ::goes back to whatever was giving her the appearence of being busy before:: [18:51] E> ::taps in the adjustments, bringing the warp field to a super-tight bubble, closely matching the form of the ship, and increasing the output of all deflector arrays:: Okay... [18:52] E> Cdt. Oswald: I need you to run up to Ops for us. We need someone to watch the simulation from the Ops station. [18:52] E> ::looks over at Oswald, then at T'Prax:: She could just run it from here. [18:53] D7> ::sets his jaw and slaps the access panel, spinning around to face into the core and rolling in, bringing up his sidearm in a smooth motion as he ends up on one knee:: [18:53] E> ::nods:: yes sir , to both [18:53] E> No, I need her on the bridge. Because when we really do this, I want her to run Ops. [18:53] ::watches the show as the computer systimatically tests the maximum output for the simmulators within the safety parametres:: [18:53] E> Ahh ::smirks:: Very well. ::turns back to his console, prepping the ship:: Ready when you are. [18:54] E> ::looks at T'Prax as if he's crazy:: [18:54] ::exits the TL onto the bridge and takes his seat:: [18:54] E> I'm an Engineer not an ops tech! [18:54] +taps+ Bentall to Ironside, any luck tracking Titan down? [18:54] E> ::looks at the Cadet:: I have faith in you Cadet. I know you can do the job. [18:54] E> Otherwise I wouldn't have asked you to do the job. [18:54] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::touches the dark, reflective casing, which reveals electrical components throughout it, and a bright, yellow caution label:: ::mutters:: Bio-explosives.. [18:55] computer> done [18:55] E> ::turns back to the simulation:: Okay, run it again. [18:55] E> ::sniffs and turns and heads to the bridge:: what they expect kids to learn in their first 18 years... [18:55] E> Wait a moment! Multispatial shielding! [18:55] E> ::looks at Dejat:: Of course! If we adjust the harmonics of the shields to match the subspace frequency of the corridor, it would reduce the subspace friction! [18:55] E> That just might help. ::activates multispatial shielding as opposed to the normal shields:: Alright, here we go. ::engages the simulation:: Slipstream in 5...4....3....2...1...now! ::watches the conduit appear:: 12=.\ction= The Coronado's slipstream drive activates; the frigate enters the conduit, and vanishes. 12=.\ction= Three men are planting explosive devices on and around the computer core. Titan spots Ironside and picks up a phaser. [18:56] ::enters the bridge after a nice ride on a turbolift:: [18:56] D7> I wouldn't do that, Mr. Titan. [18:57] E> ::watches the simulation. After 10 minutes of flight, the microfractures begin to appear:: Shut down the simulation. [18:57] Titan> It's three against one you fool. ::fires his phaser at Ironside as the other two take cover:: [18:57] ::sits down at the ops counsel:: [18:57] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> +Taps+ ::leans against the bulkhead and the floor:: Demo, IRonside, I've found explosives set up in a bulkhead that appear to be armed to explode by a trigger command, something to do with the computer system... [18:57] E> ::frowns:: What are we forgetting... [18:58] D7> ::shifts his shoulder slightly and lets the beam pass over his shoulder, firing three rapid shots before rolling on his shoulder behind a bank of computer mainframes:: 12=.\ction= A fire fight erupts between the three men and Ironside [18:58] E> What have we elimianted so far. The subspace friction is on problem. Neither is the warp-field...The microparticle impacts must still be getting through. See if you can increase power to the shields without reverting back to noraml shields. [18:59] ::pops out from behind the mainframe and lets loose with another two rounds, grabbing one of Titan's accomplice's arms as they reach out from around an obstacle:: [18:59] +taps+ Bentall to Ironside [18:59] E> Actually...if we can bring the fusion engines on line, we can route power from them into the standard shields and project those under the multispatial shields. 12=.\ction= The other accomplice is hit and mortally wounded. [19:00] E> Try it. [19:00] ::pulls the accomplice out from behind his cover and snaps his elbow into the man's trachea, dropping him quickly before spinning out into cover again:: [19:00] Computer locate Major Ironside [19:00] E> ::nods:: I'll have to take the secondaries off line. ::engages the new paramters:: Here we go. ::initiates the slipstream simulation:: 12=.\ction= The Coronado's slipstream drive activates; the frigate enters the conduit, and vanishes. [19:00] Computer> Major Ironside is in the main Computer core. [19:00] ::jerks his head aside as a phaser beam slams into the corner he's behind:: +taps+ A little busy at the moment, Mr. Bentall. ::slaps a new magazine into his sidearm:: [19:00] ::frowns:: Why is he ignoring me? [19:00] E> ::watches the simulation. AFter 5, 10, and 20 minute intervals nothing happens:: EUREKA! [19:01] E> ::watches:: It's been 10 minutes... [19:01] E> Computer, accelerate simulation to 1 day every 2 minutes. [19:01] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> ::waits and the Demo expert arrives:: +taps+ Bridge, ::swallows and continues to fight the pain:: I've located a bio- explosives device and we are about to attempt to disarm it. [19:01] ::sighs at the sound of Ironsides voice:: +taps+ Understood. [19:01] E> ::continues to watch the simulation:: Everything is with in the norms. Computer, calculate the data for one standard week. [19:01] E> ::watches as no microfractures appear:: Slipstream drive is beginning to fluctuate...::watches as the ship flashes out of the conduit::...but we made it! [19:02] ::rolls out from behind his cover and comes up to his feet, grabbing the other accomplice as he moves to attack him and twriling him around, placing his arm around his neck and bringing him around just in time to catch a phaser blast fired by Titan:: [19:02] E> ::the computer's data shows that even though the microfractures occur, they're not enough to do any damage to the ship:: I think we've found it. Download the answer into a PADD. [19:02] ::lets the man drop as he pumps three shots into Titan's torso:: [19:02] +taps+ Negative Halkins. Get over to the Computer core and help out Major Ironside. [19:02] E> +Taps+ Engineering to Bridge. Captain, we've found a solution. [19:02] +taps+ Go Lieutenant Dejat... [19:03] ::lowers his sidearm as Titan crumples, then checks to make sure the first accomplice is still down:: [19:03] +taps+ We'll need about two hours to make the necessary modifications to the ship, but once those are done, we should be sailing. We'll have to stay in the conduit for the full duration or this won't work...microfractures won't seal. [19:03] E> ::takes the PADD:: Tell Bentall that I'm coming to the bridge with the answer. [19:03] <^1LtCC_Halkins> D6> +Taps+ Sir, I suggest you get someone from ENG up to my current location to get this thing deactivated. ::moves away from the Explosives and towards the nearest armory:: [19:04] E> ::nods:: +taps+ Ensign T'Prax is on his way with myself and a PADD. ::stands:: I'll tag along. After all, I generally belong on the bridge. ::smirks:: [19:04] +taps+ Understood Engineering. Let's make them fast. [19:04] ::holsters the PPP:: +taps+ Medical emergency, main computer core. ::strides towards the fallen ensign:: [19:04] E> ::looks at Dejat:: When we get to the bridge, tell Oswald what she needs to monitor. [19:04] M> ::still studying the PADD but then falls asleep and is awoken by the med emergency, gets up and grad a med kit and runs out of sickbay:: [19:04] +taps+ Acknowledged Halkins. Get your butt upto the computer core and quit trying to tell me how do to my job. [19:05] E> ::nods and strides purposefully out into the corridor and down to the TL, waiting for T'Prax:: [19:05] *> ::enters the tl:: Bridge [19:05] ::kneels down beside Titan and checks for a pulse:: [19:05] +taps+ Bridge to Engineering. Scan this ship and pinpoint any items that may iondicate explosives. Then send a team to deactivate the charges. [19:05] TL> ::can't help but grin:: I bet the boys at R&D are gonna go nutss when they see this. [19:05] *> ::runs into TL:: main computer core ::tL starts to go:: +Taps+ Barnes to Ironside, i'm on my way [19:05] +taps+ We're already in the TL to the bridge. [19:06] ::attn:: [19:06] ::attn:: [19:06] ::attn:: [19:06] ::attn:: [19:06] <^1LtCC_Halkins> *> ::frowns at Bentall's remark:: +taps+ Sir? I'm on my way, there's no need to get whiney. It is different from the UCIP system. We will continue to use it and I would appreciate it if those of you who don't like it would just accept it. Nothing will change this. Do I make myself clear? [19:08] ::nods, having no qualms about this himself:: [19:08] As a bell, Commander. [19:08] ::Nods in agreement:: [19:09] ::doesn't even know the UCIP system:: [19:09] Ok.. All things considered that sim wnet much smoother then last week. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience. Now. Ensign T'Prax. Front and Centre.
