As the repair crews worked there way through the ship, I take a PADD to Oswald for review and approval for some modifications I wish to make to the nacell struts. ::hands Oswald the PADD:: For you review and approval maam. ::she takes the PADD and looks it over for a little bit:: this looks good to me Farley, as long as you can get it done before we need to leave. ::takes the PADD back:: Can do maam. ::heads back out of the office to get to work. ::heads out of engineering to get the teams together on getting the project done:: The project that is being done is a strut reinforcement one. The idea that is being put into place is that when the struts start to lose there strenght, like has happened twice already, these reinforcements can be put in place to fix the problem. There will be 2 sets of reinfrocements, one set on each side. When activated, either from remote or manually, they will swing from there locked position laying flat on the hull to extend and cover the whole strut. Each side onf the set covering half the strut from each side. It looks sort of like 2 hands coming up for mthe hull to hold the struts in place. +taps+ Sky to Farley, just wanted to let you know the ansiable project is up and running with just a few more test to go but operational. +taps+Farley to Sky, great work, I'm currently working on a projest to help out our little strut problem. Lets get the other one done and then take some time off!! ::the rest of the teams agree:: ::after a few more days of work the reinforcement project is done and inspected by both myself and Oswald with approval:: This project will not affect any on the ships systems or flight. It will help incase the struts because weak again and will also give some more coverage in that area against shots fired. ::I enter 7th heaven and Sky is already there, we order and eat as I tell him about the project and show him the specs:: |
