"Commander D'Rall, have the shuttlebay crew prepare a shuttle," Tal ordered tightly as she stalked briskly from Daren's ready room. "Ma'am?" "You heard me, Commander. I will be departing in twenty minutes time. Tell them to have the shuttle ready by then." D'Rall frowned as the Romulan commander slipped into the turbolift without another word. Shrugging, she tapped in the commands on her console that would alert the shuttlebay crew to prep a craft for Commander Tal's use. --- Nineteen minutes later, Tal stalked into the shuttlebay, a single Starfleet standard tote bag slung over her shoulder. The shuttlebay crew watched her make her way quickly to the shuttle, not even a look to acknowledge their presences. The shuttlebay teams watched in confusion as the shuttle's engines fired up and the craft rose slightly off of the deck. A moment later, the shuttle jetted backwards and spun about in what was often called a J-turn. The main thrusters fired up and the craft blasted out into the nebula on a course that was clearly design to get her out of the swirling mass of gases as quickly as possible. -- Christian D. Her whereabouts are unknown to the crew at large, though Whitestone Admiralty and Commodore Daren will be notified that she is on special assignment. Inquiries will likely comeback, "Classfied, Level XXXI clearance required." Of course, most of you are pretty sure that Level XXXI clearance does not exist. ;) I'll drop some hints, hopefully, along the way. But the full story won't be given until she gets back, if then.
