Zunite looked over the report Professor Leo had sent her from the university, trying to figure out why he would think she would be interested in whether a Xur weapon was intelligent or not – she doubted if, even in the long run, it mattered - for from her experience talking to a weapon never stopped it from killing you. Now perhaps talking to the owner of said weapon might help, but when did Starfleet, or at least the Coronado, ever do that. Fire first, make peace later. Some day that attitude was going to get her killed.
As she read the report over again, for about the eleventh time, something struck her about the teams findings. If it was absorbing all that energy, it had to be storing it somewhere, right? She wondered if she could get that energy back. Lucky for her, Coronado had just got itself a really big creature to experiment her.
Okay, maybe she would get herself killed before Starfleet did. |
