LtCmdr Maiko D'rall

The loud clang of the hatch on the floor as it was cut free of the battered hulk of the old shuttle - if it could even be called that anymore. The years must not have been too kind to it, or its travel here had been rough.

It was a piece of history before her however. It had been one sold to the Ji'san, to help cement relations between their peoples when the Churchill survivors had been vulnerable. And it had been Coronado herself - under Lora Kor's orders - that had removed the shuttles from the equation to help prevent further damage to the Ji'san society from the breach of the Prime Directive. Now here they were. It felt strange - and wrong - enough signing a peace with these Pfhor, and now things were just getting more... interesting.

At least that's what she was thinking when she moved to see into the shuttle through the open hatch. Four figures were standing there, each with three arms and three legs, and all clad in purple, indicating their caste as the Rutyak caste, or the warriors of Ji'san society.

Seeing no open sign of hostility, she waved the guards back and bowed slightly. The Ji'sans were a somewhat formal people before the uprising of their warrior caste. As such, when she spoke, it was in a hushed tone. "Honorable Ji'san, your presence here, though unexpected, is indeed welcome. I am Lieutenant Commander Maiko D'rall, and would be truly glad to help you in any way while you are our guests."

Straightening up, she noticed two things - the first at seeing the tired droop in the shoulders of the four shuttle occupants. The second was a face that she had seen before in the mission history of Coronado - an individual named Torek who had led an uprising against the lawful government, who was of the warrior caste.

"We have guest quarters prepared for you if you wish to refresh yourselves from your long journey. Or if you need to meet with the commodore, I can take you to him as well..."

---

A few minutes later, the Ji'san had all been settled down in their quarters, and Maiko had made her report to the bridge. Apparently the trip had been so exhausting, most of the Ji'san had probably fallen asleep just seconds after entering their guest quarters.

With them sleeping, she could turn her attention to the crisis at hand. There was really only one thing she could do in response to what she had done to Savant. With this in mind, she set off for the picnic that had been planned inside Xanadu.

((For those confused, this is a bridge between the end of last week and the start of the aftersim.))
