As I told Tlaloco about the changes I had made to the holoroom. Which were that the holoroom was totally independent from all other systems. It had it's own power generator and computer core. I also set up 2 PADD's to use for information to and from the main system. I was unsure if this would work for the child or not but it was worth a try. I left Tlaloco with all this and headed around to the teams working on the new EPS lines for the new false matter shields. I got reports that the port and starboard sides were installed and tersting was commencing and wouldn't take to long to finish up. The next set they were going to work on were the fore port & starboard to complete the forward parts. That will leave the aft port & starboard to finish up last to complete the whole project. I then went to main engineering to check on things there. In main engineering everything was going as normal. No major problems to report. Regular preventative maintanance was being performed on the nessary systems with only minor interuption. I then went to my office for some down time. Personal log: I have been in this position for a little while now and have seen that the crew has taken the adjustment well, as far as I know. We all still miss Oswald very much. She was a great CEO and teacher. I don't think I could ever fill her shoes, but I will do my best to run this department as well as she did. I have talked with Sky about this and feel that he doesn't have any problems with me in this position, since we came on board at about the same time. It means alot to me that he feels this way. I rely on him, I feel, the most of all. We work good together. As for the other crew members under my command they seem to respect me and listen. I also hope that I can teach them as well as I was taught by Oswald. Submited Commander Jack C. Farley Chief Engineering Officer USS Coronado |
