The news broke during the weekly practice of Coronado's Paresis Squares team. Maiko and a lieutenant from engineering were sitting out a round of practice off to the side. The topic of discussion started innocently enough - the looping events of the last week. Apparently the engineer had managed to avoid breaking his arm the second and third loops, while Maiko recalled seeing Xanadu destroyed - to which there were mixed reactions from the rest of the team as they took a game break to cool down. It was certainly interesting hearing how others dealt with the looping in time, and all agreed it was an experience that while interesting, would have been best never experienced. Of course, during the conversation about what happened during the loops, it came up that a security officer in sickbay - the friend of someone in science who heard it from her friend in engineering who knew the science officer - that apparently a certain member of the command staff who had been in sickbay on the third loop was apparently pregnant. Given no rumors had come around from the first two loops of any pregnancy, it could only mean one person, and that the circumstances had to be... suspect. It should be noted for the record that the first words out of Coronado's chief flight officer's mouth were "Her? A MOTHER? HA!" |
