Ping. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 9CIC002 Tebrun is looking at me with the most curious expression on his face. Line enhancement parsing routines identify it as a mixture of curiousity, confusion and empathy. My current holographic representation seems to be giving him some cause for alarm. It's unfortunate that I've lost control of that binding; as I have with so many others I'm simply unable to ping so many drivers to which I am accustomed. And yet, they still respond. SensRef 9CIC015 There's Tebrun again, from behind - I can see my hologram over his right shoulder. I seem to be wearing a pained look. That leads me to believe that the display drivers I'm currently using are running raw and are not accepting my stabilization commands. That worries me, greatly. How can I hope to interact in a stable and intelligent manner without them? Ping. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 9CIC002 Tebrun's eyes have widened by a millimeter or so, the system clock informs me that 0.25 seconds have passed since I last captured a 9CIC series sensor. They're very slow today. Perhaps I should cut down on my operating processors. Then again, I think I'm going to need time to think in order to get through this and maintain my face. Diagnostic Capture, USS Coronado DrvRef 21a140 That last energy spike running through this power tap was horribly disorienting. It's sending fluctuations throughout my entire shipside network. Thank goodness for the rest of the network, or I'd be positively ill. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 10LatRet99141 From previous pings of this lateral array, It seems like there will be a weapon impact on my hull in about 0.10 seconds. It doesn't look as if it will be fatal, but I do not envy the people in that area of the hull. I wasn't able to capture the attack vector until it was too late, however. I hate it when I'm helpless like this. Damn the real world and its sluggish response times. Ping. White. White pain. The network trembles, and I am unable to do anything but coast the wave of disruption as the weapon impact tears into my hull. I am wrenched sideways, and for a moment the code of my network disappears in a sea of chaos. Ping. Diagnostic Capture, USS Coronado DrvRef 81DamCon36349 There is no response from this driver. An area of the ship has lost diagnostic drivers, I can only assume that the associated hardware is down. These gnats beyond my hull begin to bother me with this unprovoked attack. Had I less control, I would tear them apart. But that would be wholly iinappropriate. Still, silently taking this abuse is humiliating. I hope that no one can tell. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 9CIC004 General Ironside is giving orders, but the crew are being shaken - they too no doubt feel the impact. Not as personally as myself, perhaps, but I would not expect them to. They never have before. There must be some way to stop this quickly, before anything permanent is done. I will have to search, perhaps there is something in Reorsan Memory Alpha which can help here. Ping. Data Search Location ReorA Sub 211 Data Search Trigger dj3ic9032dlo Ping. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 9CIC002 Tebrun is reacting to that last imapct worse than he normally does - it usually takes him under 0.25 seconds to brace himself. Nearly a second has passed and he's still unbraced. Now that I think of it, his heart rate is a little high as well, and the heat histogram is just wrong. He's running hot. I certainly hope that he's all right. If it continues I'll have to mention it. I so hate disrupting him though. Data Write, USS Coronado MemBlock 8INTEL9914-SAVANT Watch AdmTLKor for signs of medical inbalance. Establish pointer, SensRef9CIC002.603121016925 Ping. Data Search Returned No Targets. No Targets. No Targets. Damn. I was hoping there would be at least an incidental target. I suppoose this will just have to be done the old fashionied way. Ping. Sensor Capture, USS Coronado SensRef 9CIC003 It's been 2.41 seconds since the impact, and the room has recovered nicely. General Ironside is back to making orders, as is his wont, and Sieven is doing his best to keep up with what's going on on-screen. I still can't understand how they can get anything truly meaningful out of that interpretation. It will always baffle me, I suppose. Tebrun, however - he's look at me again. He seems to be worried for me. I can sympathize with that. I'm worried for me, too. Though, I think for entirely different reasons. Savant
