=/\= Sick Bay =/\= Insanity - all the signs were there - hearing voices in ones head, seeing things that others could not and performing acts that are deemed irrational like shooting your helmsman. These were the sure signs of someone losing touch with reality. However, the voices were the worst. On a number of occassions they appeared to be responding to his current situation or to his own internal questions. The voice he had heard in his head when he shot the parakeet had felt so real that he could have sworn that someone had been whispering in his ear as he took aim. During the recon mission up on the Crystal Spire, that voice had been with him as he had sat down in front of the control console and activated the panel. What was happening to him? Was this all real? or were all these events attached in some way to the mystery of Xanadu and its populace? or, worse yet, was he going insane? Savant had questioned him as to why he had shot his helmsman. He could not explain to Savant that not thirty seconds prior Lt Torres was his Helmsman and that this individual had appeared out of no where. Why was he the only one who knew this to be true? Was he going insane? Thomas sat on the biobed staring out across Medical as half the senior staff were discussing what was happening to the Coronado and its crew. He glanced at Ironside who stood beside him quite calm but with a look of concern. Turning he looked at D`rall who appeared to be fine though maybe a bit more annoyed that she was being held in a force field. He felt his stomach knot up at the words "Crystal Spire". Even the General beside him had looked his way at the mention of those words. "Could I be the reason for these events?" he wondered as he felt a wave of panic creep over him. "Was the Admiral's demise also caused by him?" He stared hard at Capt Daren and Cmdr Reed. He wanted to know. He wanted to be a part of any mission that would free him from the bonds of these force fields. Yet deep down he also felt fear - the fear that some how he was the cause of all this. He had acted on his own during the Crystal Spire mission. What if he had actually activated some kind of temporal..? "Damn stupid," he muttered as he lowered his eyes to the deck and waited for whatever decision the staff would make. Insanity and reality - what was real and what had changed. He had a million questions that needed answering and some where within Xanadu there was an answer. He desparately needed to know what was happening. Thomas waited for the final decision to be made......... Lt Colonel Thomas Wayne Squadron Commander SO-2 Wraith "Raptors" Squadron USS Coronado NCC-97901
