2 house, 1 serpent, 12 vulture:
It is a good day to confront the discontinuities, disruptions, failures and deaths one suffers in life.

The Borg feared him. He was unique in the universe in that. Born in the right place at the right time, he figured. But even with his special talents, he was only one man. No way he could change the balance of power for the whole sector. So the Borg found ways to avoid him.

They also intuited, perhaps that his very existence depended on passing through the rift. That's why they sent the cubicle to intercept the Janus.

We have a cube on our tail, Rial Rao informed the Doctor.

"I'm on it." The Doctor replied. He cleared his mind, willed it past the noise of the collective, straight to the heart of computer systems. They sensed his presence. They were learning. Adapting. He raced along other paths, found his opening. Astronometrics. Scramble their maps.

"Bring the temporal displacement drive online" Ordered Dr. Tlaloco.

"Run?" The Klingon was irate.

The doctor shrugged. "My oath. First, do no harm".

The cube shot towards what it sensors saw as its plotted course. They would soon notice the deception, soon adapt. But it was too late. The Janus was already through the gate.
