The four Marines stood with weapons at the ready as they entered. Their eyes were transfixed with surprise as they stared at the twenty-six survivors huddled around a tree with decorations hanging from its branches. Thomas watched unsure of what to say as he listened to them humming softly. The braids appeared to be humming along with the ten humans - a doctor, a few nurses and a few civilians. They lowered their weapons and watched silently as the humming sounding vaguely familiar but yet ancient. Wayne tried to wave to the doctor who appeared to be in charge.

The doctor moved carefully amongst his patients and survivors and approached. Wayne and the doctor stepped outside the room. "Thank you for coming," he stated. "We thought that the Hounds and Hunters were going to get here before help arrived. They appeared to go berserk when their handlers disappeared."

Thomas grunted as he tried to listen to the song and replied, "It was touch and go for a bit. Your lucky that our Tac officer was searching for survivors."

The doctor smiled and noticed Wayne's glances towards the others, "Care to have your men join us? We are partaking in an ancient Earth ceremony and its open to everyone. Even the braids are enjoying the music." Thomas stared at the Braids and sure enough they appeared to be having a good time considering that they had almost been mauled.

Wayne shook his head and replied, "Sorry, we still have a lot of work to do. We will have to leave a few men behind to protect you until we have the Hunters and Hounds subdued."

The doctor rubbed his chin and stated grimly, "I understand. If you and your men care to join us afterwards, we would like to thank you for rescuing us?"

Thomas smiled and agreed hoping that the battle on Reor'sa would mark at end to the fighting for a while. Turning away, he started to hit his comm badge, when a new song began. He stopped turned to the doctor and asked, "Exactly what are you folks celebrating?"

The doctor smiled and replied, "Christmas. An ancient Earth tradition that the Braids seem to be enjoying." Looks at the braids inside the room, and continues, "They really enjoy the songs."

Thomas stared for a few seconds and closed his mouth as a few distant memories crept in. Nodding his appreciation, Wayne contacted his crew and was transported away.

The doctor heard the commotion and came running. A few of the marines came right behind on his heels thinking that a Hunter or a Hound had somehow gotten past the perimeter security. Four of the braids were talking excitedly as they pointed towards the tree. The doctor moved passed them and stood stunned.

One of the marines called out, "What's the problem? Who is..." he stopped and stared. Under the tree and all around it, were a few hundred packages all wrapped and placed neatly in piles.

Thomas looked at Torres and Fox. "Tell the other Raptors that our mission is complete. Rendezvous at Sector Saturn 3" He leaned back in his chair as Torres acknowledged him, "Yes Sir" and barely audible "Santa Claus." Wayne heard her and raised an eye brow but decided to let the Lieutenant enjoy her joke.
