Lieutenant Major Shar

Shar had been shot down. In the pain of a broken arm and some very pointy broken ribs he could sense that someone was coming near. Groaning as he moved he tried to shuffle his pain wracked body closer to the escape module in search for a weapon. Any weapon. The figure neared him and through the fog of his pain he heard a male voice. "How the hell should I know? I'm new here, remember?" The figure dropped down beside him and he heard "Major, can you hear me? Major?" His addrenaline working overtime and not having a weapon, fortunately for the doctor, he shot his good arm out and gripped the figure by the throat muttering something like "You shall...Die!" Another figure came near and wrestled his arm of the first figure who injects him with a hypo. Shar grunted and focused on the figure, horrified at what he had just tried to do he uttered an apology before the injection took effect. "Doctor.... Sorry...." Shar then entered blackness. He was suddenly 17 again, at least in Earth years, and before him stood his best friend pleading with him not to do something. "Don't be foolish Shar. He's much stronger then you. He's already fought many fights. He's liable to kill you." "Out of my way Dar, I've taken the training, I can handle him. He must be taught that he can't do what he wants when he wants it." Dar shook his head and then nodded. "Well if you won't back down then at least do the honorable thing and show no mercy." Shar gripped Dar by both fore arms and nodded again and then with a smile turned to face the man that had terorized Shar's home town for a decade. Grillar was a beast of a man. Abnormally robust even for an Andorian he towered over Shar and was a master in the fighting arts. Shar fansied himself a master as well but at 17 he was a tad full of himself. Grillar laughed as Shar readied himself. "Well little one. Are you ready to die?" Shar frowned but stood his ground and did not reply. Grillar approached and swung out hitting Shar full in the face breaking his nose in the process. That was when Shar realized he might be a touch overmatched and began a most unorthodox move and began dancing around his opponent much like the human boxers did in some of the old holoflicks he had seen. Grillar stopped moving and watched Shar's movement with a grin. For the benefit of the crowd he yelled "Look at the little one dance. He dances well, no?" Shar took the opportunity to launch a flury of moves at his opponent and was in luck as one of his hits actually landed. A few minutes passed with each getting a few non-threatening hits on each other until finally Grillar made a grab at his fighting knives which had been laid aside for this fight. "Enough little one. The time has come to put you in your place. Dead!" Dar shouted at Shar and threw Shar his own recently aquired knives. "Shar!" Shar grabbed each knife in mid air and swung around to take the blades of his opponent on his own and swing them away. Grillar took that moment to kick Shar in the mid section and swing back with his knife lopping Shar's left antenna off and scratching a deep line down the left side of Shar's face narrowly missing his eye. Shar clutched at his runied face and knelt down on one knee, his knives dropping to the ground in front of him. Seconds that seemed like minutes passed and Grillar's suddenly towered over him. Shar's built up rage found their release as he gripped the handle of one of his knives and brought it up with all his strength into the belly of his opponent. Grillar looked down at the blade sticking from his gut and screamed out in pain, anger, frustration and most of all, fear as Shar pulled up on the handle with all of his considerable strength and then pushed Grillar away and withdrew the blade. Grillar fell. After standing over the body of his now dead opponent for a moment Shar turned to look at the onlookers in victory. While they looked impressed they somehow managed to look embaressed at the same time. He turned to his friend Dar. "I told you Dar. I told you." Dar looked at Shar as if he didn't know him. "But you paid the ultimate price. It would have been better if you had died. He took your antenna Shar. You should leave this place." With those words Dar turned and walked away leaving Shar alone with the body. Shar never saw Dar again and when he arrived home he found that his family had left before he got there. Shar started awake as the Shuttle he was on shook with weapons fire. He'd had another one of the dreams. Drugs did that to him which is why he avoided them at all costs. The doctor would have to be spoken too about that. |
