Prescot rubbed his forehead as he stared into the mirror. The time since the merge into the alternate universe then the return trip had been hell for him. There are a few things that one tried to base ones life on. Genetic Engineering is good. Might makes right. And you will never have to worry telepathic attacks or anything of that nature. And then reality smacked you in the guts. Prescot had been going over the memories of his "other life." In some aspects, he loved it. He had a fantastic job, and he clearly was a better warrior all around. On the other hand, he was rather alone. Courtly love had never really interested Jake in this dimension. Apparently in the other dimension, Prescot had other ideas. Jake shook his head as he moved over towards the shower. Somethings could only be cured only with time. Hopefully he would have enough time to make sense of all of this confusion. |
