"Alternate Perspective"
Savant

Plans had a habit of falling apart. All the best laid ones were, in fact,
the most succeptible to the slightest of changes in the environment. Savant
knew this rather well, which was why she wasn't terribly upset about her
plans with Whitestone being de-railed. Disappointed, yes, but upset, not
yet. She did her best to salvage what she could of it - Lora Kor being the
number one resource she wanted to keep safe. Whitestone, as her statistics
showed, was suffering horrendous losses in this disaster, but was still
worthwhile to keep track of. At the moment it wasn't her biggest concern
however. Finding out the source of this problem and neutralizing it was.

With the ansible network still operational, Savant had a unique perspective
on the event - she was seeing it from all angles. She actually found
herself enjoying the feeling of a processing network disappear out from
under her - it was exhilarating to feel Pegasus vapourize node-by-node.
That was of course her trigger to activate transport routines to rescue the
crew, but it didn't disturb the momentary euphoria that the effect created.
Savant regrouped and watched.

It was an unmitigated disaster. If this was a weapon it was the most potent
weapon ever created. If it was a natural disaster originating in Milky Way
as had been suggested, it was the most horiffic natural disaster ever
concieved. There was only one thing Savant could bring herself to do.

Watch, and wait.

The answers would come.

They had to.
