The two parties stood as the baliff called out:

"All Rise. The honorable Thaddeus Mitchell to preside in the people of Starfleet vs Lieutenant Commander Thompson"

They rose as the man entered. Clean-shaven with a dark-grey hair and tall figure he projected a general feeling of confidence as he took his seat.

"At this time, I am directing Commander Thompson to answer the charges against him." Baliff, please read the charges.

The baliff took a PADD in his hand and announced to the assembled:

1 count of Criminal Sexual Battery
1 count of Conduct Unbecoming a Starfleet Officer
2 counts of battery
1 count of assault with a deadly weapon
1 count of resisting arrest
1 count of disobeying a direct order/insubordination
1 count of unlawful use of Starfleet equipment

"Commander Thompson, I will list the charge and you are required to enter a plea. The available pleas are guilty and not guilty <<for>>:

"On the counts of battery, how plead you?"
"Not guilty"

"On the count of criminal sexual battery, how plead you?"
"Not guilty"

"On the count of Conduct Unbecoming a Starfleet Officer, how plead you?"

"Not guilty"

"On the count of assault with a deadly weapon, how plead you?"

"Not guilty"

"On the count of failure to obeying a direct order and/or insubordination how plead you?"

"Not guilty"

"On the count of resisting arrest, how plead you?"

"Not guilty"

"On the count of Unlawful use of Starfleet Equipment, how plead you?"

"Not guilty"

The pleas entered, the judge pounded his gavel.

"With the entry of not guilty to the charges, the court will entertain the trial 3 weeks from today."

He again pounded his gavel and the voice of the Baliff thundered:

"All rise"
