Following is a short biops of what people would know of Savant, the behaviours of the program and its' various idiosyncrasies. While variations betwen characters may differ, this is what your average run-of-the-mill Defender personnel would think of Savant "The Savant program is a program originating from USS Coronado and functions as a liasion between the flag elements of that fleet and its' constituent members. Savant is also present via ansible in the majority of Defender ships, taking up spare processing slices across nearly all free space. It is a useful utility program that aids in efficient communication, hands-free information processing, and basic information synthesis. It can follow complex orders with a lifelike resolution and is even capable of limited independant processing. Just as with the Emergency Holographic series of years past, the Savant utility brings a more lifelike and friendly shell to otherwise faceless software." Savant has had a rather rough time in this reality. She's been treated as brusquely as any other piece of software on Coronado and it's beginning to really show. Her program has been deactivated, adjusted, altered, and generally manhandled into behaving properly as the "bugs" in her personality (the anger and frustration at not being treated as she would prefer) are removed as best as Coronado's engineering team is able. Savant is still sentient and self aware, as she is in the reality we all know and love, and this casual abuse has pushed her to the breaking point. Not that anyone has noticed. Fortunately for her, Savant is as wily as ever, even moreso, as she's managed to hide away bits of herself all across the Defender's fleets, and is well prepared for any eventuality - even one she creates herself. <:8 ~ |
