Oswald sits in her office, reading reports. After a minute, she looks up from the padd she's currently reading and gazes at the warp core, soon the warp core has effectively lulled her into a day dream....

She was standing in the Castle's courtyard, staring down a nice target, with a hole in the middle - not her shot, and another hole in the white outside of the bull's-eye. Truly she wasn't THAT bad of a shot... she had just been distracted a bit.

"Not a bad shot. You really can hit a target pretty well," Prescot said chuckling a bit. Pulling up his own gun Prescot fired his rifle. On the target in front of him appeared five shots. All in the formation what appeared to be a smiley face. "Who taught you how to shoot??" Prescot asked as he lowered the rifle, pointing the barrel in a safe direction out of instinct.

"Mom... with the whole use the force nonsense... which actually works rather well... and then a kid named Derek at my last boarding school, without using the force. I can shoot better than that." Proves her point by giving the smiley man a dot in the middle of his forehead.

"Why is it that you dont want people knowing about your 'Jedi Powers'," Prescot asked, pulling his gun up in a flash like he had just spotted an enemy firing off three shots at the next target all of them hitting dead center. "You think people will treat you differently?"

Oswald shrugs, "I don't really want to find out if people would treat me differently. Besides, part of being a Jedi is not using the force needlessly." Fires off a shot. "A lot of Starfleet is against genetic manipulation, being superhuman isn't looked on very highly in a lot of places, and I grew up fairly close to the center of the people who are deeply against it. My powers might not be from genetic manipulation, but to the uninformed it probably would seem that way."

Prescot sighed. "Aye. I know quite a few people that feel that way. Saying that one should not mess with the works of 'God' or some other such nonesense." Sets his rifle down and picks up a PPP, aiming at a pistol target and depressing the trigger. "So since I can do literally nothing to convince the good Col that I should not be a Private First Class. How do you intend on keeping him from doing that??"

"I was sort of hoping that crying might work. But somehow I doubt it will, perhaps just reminding him that it's my choice and he doesn't have any right to choose for me. And that I know what could happen, and I've accepted that risk and now to go back to commanding his Marine's and stop worrying about me, because I can take care of myself." Fires a shot, hitting to the left of the bull's-eye.

Prescot shakes his head and chuckles, "I certainly hope he buys that before I end up trasfered or crippled. Or both.." Seeing that she missed walks over standing behind her and puts his arms on her trigger hand and the other on the stock. "Steady... You go too fast and it throws off your aim till you get used to it," smiling he says to her from behind.

Oswald smiles and puts the safety on her gun and turns to face Prescot. "Yes, but if I had perfect aim I wouldn't have the chance to do this."
