"Stand down from Alert Status!", everyone within earshot let out a sigh of relief. Lighting on the deck 9 bridge of USS Coronado had returned to normal and the ship had recently rejoined USS MacArthur, the Wraith Squadron, and several Camelynian ships that had made it out of IO32.

Commander Daren looked around the bridge at the faces of his fellow officers and crew. They had just been though an intense engagement that went on for much longer then expected and had come without any warning. The dead bodies of several of the Shadow Knights, with incredible cranial injuries the result of a newly discovered Pfhor lifeform, were still in plain sight. Preparations at Tactical were being made for Colonel Ironside and his Marines to return to the ship. The Enginnering station on the bridge as well as Engineering itself was a buzz of activity. Luckily Coro herself had escaped significant damage although the past several hours made it seem like the worst was possible. Those hours had belonged to the warrior.

Now it became the analyst's turn. In such a short amount of time alot of information had been collected from both the Marine forces onboard the damaged Pfhor battleship and Coro's internal sensors. Several new Pfhor lifeforms emerged as ememies and new discoveries about known Pfhor came to light...

"Colonel Ironside and his Marines are now in Transporter Room Three", Marcy reported.

Daren nodded, "Let's remain here for about an hour to acess any damage we may have overlooked and once Engineering has given the all clear we'll continue on back to Pitstop."

The officer's nodded silently as Daren took a PADD and retired to secluded corner of the CIC to record his official log entry:
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
"Executive Officer's Log, Stardate 240202.25: Escort Duty through 'non-hostile' space. The very words tend to strike feelings of intense boredom and monotony into the heart of Command-level officers. With several of our senior staff members accompanying the Captain to Reorsa on Kelaka for the launching of 'Destiny' the new Intrepid class skeleton being launched, Coronado and her slipstream drive were given orders to provide 'slipstream escort' from Pitstop to Artemis. The area of space was unlikely to be the place of significant Pfhor activity. I should have known to not relax because on our return mission to Pitstop from Artemis near star IO32 our slipstream conduit was disrupted and we soon came under immediate Pfhor assault. With the "biovirus" making routine ship activities difficult we quickly found ourselves on the recieving end of several Pfhor tractor beams.

On the positive side we successfully field tested several False Matter torpedoes. Our initial compliment of ten had been cut in half to five by the end of the engagement. Further detail's of the engagement can be found in what will be my official report to Captain Lora Kor as well as the various ship's tactical logs. Once we have taken a chance to catch our breath we will be returning to Pitstop to complete our slipstream escort mission. I continue to push the Engineering staff on finding a solution to the Pfhor 'biovirus' that still remains present within various ship systems. I can only hope that with all of the data collected during the attacks that their efforts will be successful..."
